$14 dollar a 1/2 bushel- I have enjoyed watching from seed to harvest, and that is a lot of work for $14 dollars a 1/2 bushel. Your customers are lucky to have your family working so hard, and so thankfully to provide them the best quality and service for a great price. I wish I lived next to the Veggie Boys!
I was going to comment something about this.. 32 half bushels is $448 ... then you figure 50% goes to the cost of doing business.. maybe 50% goes to wages.. its difficult to say.. because some of the land they lease and there are tons of other costs... but this is a good year.. so they can't leave anything on the vine or peppers on the bush it all needs to be picked and sold.. got to make up for bad years and lots of other things.
I've never seen so many habaneros on one plant! You guys have beautiful plants..love hot and spicy! Love when your dad and Matthew narrate, your dad is great!
Thank you so much Grammy for sharing you spaghetti sauce recipe!!! It is beyond delicious. I feel silly calling you Grammy as I am a great grandmother! Love you all!
Thanks Pop-pop for the running commentary on the irrigation (21:06) Love the whole process of using your hands and tools to make all that food! If you haven’t already broken that piping back down, it would be a great clip to watch you dismantle and store or redeploy it! Keep building that family and feeding America, 🇺🇸 Oh, also, I thought some drone footage of the process would be interesting and educational, Thanks!
I love that Callie wants to do things on the farm with the animals. She is growing up right. Your family is wonderful and I'm so happy to watch you and your family!!!!
You guys get some impressive yields on your crops!!!!! I can't get over how Callie is just a little girl now (not a baby) and growing up happy on a farm is a wonderful life!
thanks for the recipe. here's a recipe for fry sauce. I made this for a restaurant here in Utah. we made it in much larger amounts. Fry Sauce 3/4 cup real mayonnaise 1/4 cup ketchup 1/4 tsp liquid smoke mix together and refrigerate. other things can be added, hot sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder. We didn't
The tomato harvest is always a sight to behold! It’s amazing to see the hard work pay off with rows of vibrant, ripe tomatoes ready to be enjoyed - fresh from the farm to the table
Callie is growing up so fast - already learning about stocking the store. We saw her cooking with Grammy before but now she gets to really learn the family business. So much opportunity for her ahead and so much valuable experience! You can really see how the family passes down their love for what they do to her. It's a beautiful example of how to raise a child so they can succeed when they have to start adulting. That picture of the potatoes that were dug up with one huge flat rock in the middle of the pile made me laugh. Pennsylvania constantly amazes me with all their rocks.
When I was a cashier, I called the habaneros little lanterns. I always got a kick out of the long hots. They are so funny looking and cute. You guys have such gorgeous veggies! Your videos are so fun to watch with your lovely family! Blessings....
I remember in my younger days raising four children and a farmer husband how l craved the first frost. I could finally put the canning and freezing equipment away for the winter.
I feel you Elaine I feel the same. But I was hoping I was done with Jalapeños. But Noooo, they are still growing. So looks like more Pickled Jalapeños and poppers
This year tomatoes are fantastic! My early girls are still producing. But I was at a veggie stand today (Wednesday) and had to walk away from the tomatoes because they would look too good in my Jars.lol😂
Andrew, would you consider doing a in-depth history of your family particularly focusing on when you and your wife met did you go to college? Did you meet in high school? How old were you when you and your wife were married?
Good to see you using your own produce. When you open a jar you can look back at harvest, prepping and canning what you grew. It will be better than anything from the store and hopefully you make grammy proud.
I’m in SC & we are forecasted to receive 7 to 10 inches of rain from Helene! We have been dry most of the summer. High winds also! This is a huge hurricane…prayers for all!
Andrew, you are so cute to we grandmothers. I had a fantastic pepper and tomato harvest as well, and I only had a few plants in raised containers. My tomatoes are 6-8” across and meaty. I, too, am making sauce. Actually, I ended up with a second harvest off the same plants with unseasonably warm and dry late summer/early fall. We have warm forecasts thru October.

Andrew, What are the varieties of paste and round tomatoes you've planted this year? Awesome harvest. Love the channel.
Hi Andrew, Thankyou for the beautiful video and Thankyou very much for the recipe for tomatoes. Your children are really growing fast and they are so beautiful. God bless.
It amazes me how I can sit and watch the Veggie Boys pick produce. I like the pop when picking peppers. Andrew has a running commentary that is both informative and entertaining. Thank you to everyone in the family for their contribution to this favorite farming videos.
I use to move 30 ft joints of 8 inch pipe with screw gates on it and the wells always pumped about a half inch of sand into each joint. Then on Saturday my dad and I moved at least a mile of pipe, every Saturday.
Andrew your excellent photography leads us to this "Thinking - "Oh Oh you missed that one!" And feel as though we can reach right in through our screens and pick them!!!!
Look at that sky. We are trying to dodge the hurricane in Georgia. Hopefully you won’t be overwhelmed by rain. We haven’t had any rain so our sand will suck it right up.
Hello from Nairobi 😊 super proud of you guys and the bountiful harvest you have this year compared to the sad soggy grounds and rotten veggies last year 👏👏👏we thank God for the good weather ❤ thanks Matt and Grandpa for keeping us in the fields 😊so using the tomato sauce recipe Daniel and Sadie shared 🥰🥰🥰
daniel matt poppop ... don't worry when you miss stuff .. just show us what you can show... nice to hear from you guys... lately we haven't seen any of the ladies and you guys are kinda quiet.
Beautiful tomatoes. Glad your sprinklers are working nicely. Callie was so cute with the calves and cows and chickens. Sweet little girl and helpful. Nice you canned your family's recipe pasta sauce. A nice video as usual.
Idea to get those big pumpkins out of the field, if you get a cargo net with a loop on each corner. Roll the pumpkin into the middle the with the fork attachment on your tractor lift it with that. That way you will save your backs. You could also do it with a number of slings instead with the tractor.
Andrew, I brought my 90+ year old mom with me today from Cortland, NY. I didn't know you took Wednesdays off, but your dad and I talked about the corn which led us to the agreement you need to start posting your videos a little faster. The last one you were picking white corn, which my mom really wanted to try, that video was created about 2 weeks prior to posting. You're slacking son.....lol
An adorable video. Love all the kids. They are the best. Those tomatoes were gorgeous and the potatoes are looking good. Thanks for a great days visit. ❤❤❤❤❤
Back in the 1950-1960 we raised cotton. We had over 100 acres under irrigation and we had to move pipe all the time. Gets tiring towards the end. One thing I do not miss.
The harvests are some of the best I have seen on your channel and unlike most years you have good harvests you are selling almost everything through the farmer's market and not sending them to auctions. Last year was so bad for you. So how did the silage and hay hold out this year and are you no longer getting the sawdust?
Thank you for generously sharing this sauce recipe. 💙 Thinking of you as I’m transplanting blackberries here in SW MO. Digging up lots of rocks. See, we grow them too! 😂🤣😆
Thanks for the posting of the recipe nice and clear so I could take a snapshot. 🙏🏼 LOVE YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY and your videos, we watch everyday ♥️ You are all extremely BLESSED to have everyone together, seeing and working hard together as a family.
Wow Matt and Bryan taking over the camera! AWESOME!! They will get the hang of it. LOL I did not know habanero plants could hold that many at one time. Very impressive. Thank you for sharing your world. Your babies are growing so fast! That happens at that age. See you in the next one.
Seeing Matthew with an apple reminded me to tell you about our week long Apple Festival in September. It's in Hendersonville in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North 😊 It starts with a foot race, then square dances, booths with candied apples, cider, jars of applesauce, and apple fitters, 😋. The last day is a parade down Main Street. We produce 85% of the apples grown in North Carolina!
@gracierose3076 : Oh, for heaven's sake. People grow veggarden here, and they do quite well. Corn, tomatoes, green beans, squash, you name it. We just had a dry year. That's all. If you didn't water your garden dried up. Try again next year. In the meantime, plant some Cole crops like turnips, collards, and mustard
I just really luv how the aunties help Callie with her line…. I also love da DAD/Brian jokes… a guy outstanding in his field…Look st that…😆… chuckle of the day…
Gorgeous corn...perfect like all of your vegetables from the farm. Where is the rain when some places are getting flooded ?, good job taking care of the juvenile vegetables in the growing to maturity. Nice teamwork !! Awesome farm video.
I grew up on the farm growing Atlantic Giant pumpkins. We put a woven rag rug underneath, grab the corners, and two people lift with the knees. The biggest ones we used a pallet on the tractor to move them, after carefully rolling it on with a thick cardboard ramp. I look forward to seeing you move them!
Lifting should be done with the thighs and butt not the knees. Out of curiosity: Who buys giant pumpkins weighing that much? Are they used mostly for decoration?
@@chronos401they're inedible, purely decorative. You can eat them, but extremely stringy, sloppy, and bad flavour. When I was selling them it was mostly young parents, and grandparents trying to make Halloween extra fun. Churches were huge sales, between decorations and cooking other pumpkins and squash for bake sales and fellowship. Just don't lift with your back and throw it out, or gut and give yourself a hernia, right? Those things easily weigh hundreds of pounds. When I was a teenager I could throw 50 on each shoulder and walk a block, now I can barely hold 10, going on age 50.
I love the sound of peppers being picked. It's almost up to the level of ocean waves hitting the beach, rain, and summer cicadas.
Our fave, too!!
mine too!
That’s so funny! Me Too!
The sound of cicadas is the worst! The others are great
Absolutely a therapeutic sound I love❤❤❤❤ Wonder why?????

Great job Matt. Appreciate you filming for us to watch what you are doing. Another great job Grandpa.
I love that Callie wants to do things on the farm with the animals. She is growing up right. Your family is wonderful and I'm so happy to watch you and your family!!!!

Grandpa and Matt did great filming.
Six minutes from upload and already 500+ views? Way to grow, Veggie Boys ...and GIRLS!!
Tomato picking is awesome! But I love the sound of the “PoP” from the peppers!
thanks for the recipe.
here's a recipe for fry sauce. I made this for a restaurant here in Utah.
we made it in much larger amounts.
Fry Sauce
3/4 cup real mayonnaise
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 tsp liquid smoke
mix together and refrigerate.

I printed it and will put it in my personal collection for when I need it.
To get your giant pumpkins, use the skid steer with the forks and a pallet. Roll the pumpkin on to the pallet and drive it out. Hope this helps.
Love watching the videos.
The tomato harvest is always a sight to behold! It’s amazing to see the hard work pay off with rows of vibrant, ripe tomatoes ready to be enjoyed - fresh from the farm to the table

When I watch videos like today’s, I think how thankful I am for our farmers. I hope all of you know how appreciated you are.
Tracy, it's good to see your lovely smile. You had a good little helper with bagging the noodles.
Thank you for the recipe.

Late fall and winter was when we canned meat and soups.
I feel you Elaine I feel the same. But I was hoping I was done with Jalapeños. But Noooo, they are still growing. So looks like more Pickled Jalapeños and poppers

Love the huge pumpkins but they do create challenges 😳
And I love canning tomato sauce too!
Atlantic Giants, been there ,done that, fun, but work.

Hi Andrew, Thankyou for the beautiful video and Thankyou very much for the recipe for tomatoes. Your children are really growing fast and they are so beautiful. God bless.
You drove the wheels off the Side by side

Have to bring the forklift to lift those large pumpkins.
Here in the Nature Coast Florida. Praying for Helene tobe gentle...
Helen going to listen your prayers.🙏🙏
Stay safe!
Beautiful tomatoes. Glad your sprinklers are working nicely. Callie was so cute with the calves and cows and chickens. Sweet little girl and helpful. Nice you canned your family's recipe pasta sauce. A nice video as usual.
Your pumpkin is the size of the one at Bloosburge fair!!❤❤❤
Idea to get those big pumpkins out of the field, if you get a cargo net with a loop on each corner. Roll the pumpkin into the middle the with the fork attachment on your tractor lift it with that. That way you will save your backs. You could also do it with a number of slings instead with the tractor.
Thanks Andrew...I'm late..Hurricane preps done! Shooo. Praying for the girls parents safety in this.
Andrew and Lauren, please expect a package at the farm market on Friday or Saturday. Hope it helps!
Andrew, I brought my 90+ year old mom with me today from Cortland, NY. Confusing at times, put a date stamp on corner so we know what /when we’re looking at!
An adorable video. Love all the kids. They are the best. Those tomatoes were gorgeous and the potatoes are looking good. Thanks for a great days visit. ❤❤❤❤❤
What about a tractor bucket. I think that's what it's called. And then just roll it in. On the pumpkins
I miss living in family farm.i thank you for you vedio,s...thanks...they bring me back to my farm life..beautiful

I grew jalapeños a couple years ago and they actually had worms in them nobody could believe it
Wow...those tomato 🍅 plants look and sound sooo dry! Geeez-leweez,y'all need rain or irrigation for sure!😮
Thank you for generously sharing this sauce recipe. 💙 Thinking of you as I’m transplanting blackberries here in SW MO. Digging up lots of rocks. See, we grow them too! 😂🤣😆
Did the sawmill that provided your sawdust bedding close up? I notice you all not using sawdust anymore
Loved the irrigation footage. Shows what you have to do when there is little rain!
Andrew your baby's are so lovely they have your eyes mostly your baby girl so special love your vlogs so much
Great 👍 job on the camera their Matt an Grandpa 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for the posting of the recipe nice and clear so I could take a snapshot. 🙏🏼 LOVE YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY and your videos, we watch everyday ♥️ You are all extremely BLESSED to have everyone together, seeing and working hard together as a family.

Your videos are always enjoyable! They are entertaining and it’s so amazing to see all that you harvest! ❤️🥰🍁🙏🏻🇨🇦
That is an incredible sight of those baskets upon baskets of tomatoes on the wagon being brought in from the fields!
Don't let the seeds from the large rotten pumpkin go to waste---harvest for next year!
We enjoy your Channel! Love learning about the farm and store!
Can you ask your Grandma?
Grammy would you make a cookbook?! I'd definitely buy one!
Loved the energy in this video! Keep it up
I just really luv how the aunties help Callie with her line…. I also love da DAD/Brian jokes… a guy outstanding in his field…Look st that…😆… chuckle of the day…
My 2 cents. In stead of using sugar in the red gravy. I suggest using carrots graded or whole.
Gorgeous corn...perfect like all of your vegetables from the farm. Where is the rain when some places are getting flooded ?, good job taking care of the juvenile vegetables in the growing to maturity. Nice teamwork !! Awesome farm video.
Hi Andrew, I have sent you an Email, looking forward to hearing from you. 🥰
Andrew, what is the name, brand of plum tomatoes do you grow? They are the biggest plum tomatoes I've ever seen
I grew up on the farm growing Atlantic Giant pumpkins. We put a woven rag rug underneath, grab the corners, and two people lift with the knees. Next year you might put the pumpkins on pallets before they get big so you can lift them with the tractors. Love all the tomatoes ❤
I think even blind people can enjoy the picking of peppers cause each pepper has a different sound when picked
