Try some 30w oil on the threads of your pto's, thats what we used all the time when hooking up an old hesston stackhand's pto. always came free when time to put the stacker away. Just a suggestion.
Corrosion (rust) makes parts bigger. Take a wire brush to the male shaft and knock the rust off it. Then treat it with some oil. PTO shafts are always a tight fit so they don't wobble and wear the splines out.
@@cohanodowichuk3765 getting that 2 piece cart set up and attached is most definitely not faster than dropping the head on a trailer and tightening 2 ratchet straps. Putting a head on or taking a head off a regular head cart is a 2 minute process.

Just drove my new to me JD 6600 home last night 135 miles/13hrs.. Cant imagine a 300 plus mile drive with a combine, least not a old 6600 lol. Nothing fun about long haul trips. Question can 1 man even unhook one of those 50ft headers and put in on a cart like these? I thought most you just sat the header on and disconnect like a typical header cart.

@@gavinperry7237 we have actually had a 9t last year too, it's our loaner combine for when we drop one, complimentary from Agco. Tho, we normally drop 2 or 3 per day not just one 🤣

Every color has problems....its a matter of which one mitigates it best and gives u the cleanest grain...aka the most money in ur pocket when all is said and done.

From memory, I think the combine that burnt was Mikes dads, Jared is just a worker that happened to be the driver of said combine. I could also be way out with this statement.

Mike also purchased a John deere to give additional capacity. They had 7 Agco combines, lost one to fire. Mike I have a question; Is it OK to charge a battery with your alternator? That's what's happening when you jump start anything and drive down the road. Do you carry spares, alternators, that is?

No offence Mike but I have seen seen such a performance over taking a header off! For an Englishman, that was painful to watch. Honey Bee need to arrange a better locking system. Also, I doubt you have a dealer close enough but I don’t think a few CLAAS Lexions would disappoint.

Then there's the fact that he's not the only "next generation" that wants to farm and is probably not "first in line" in the succession plan. The clincher: wife is pregnant with their 1st-born and will be MUCH closer to her mom (happy wife = a happier life). I'd be wildly surprised if the possibility of this wasn't talked about before they decided to get married and/or have a kid.
WHY....WHY.....WHY.... no traffic all day. Then as you have to move the biggest piece of equipment on the farm is there a rush of traffic. Always happens, the same with junctions. No traffic down the road but a whole que coming up to the junction. Or is just me ????
I know we don't see colors, buuut without badmouthing Fendt, are you still happy with their current combines? It seems like you have a lot of problems with them. Are they still as good (or maybe better?) than the other ones? And are the problems minor enough to still make them acceptable?

I get the logic behind turning the header into a trailer but man that seems like quite a process compared to other trailers with 4 wheel steer.
And a bit dangerous mounting it to the header by the looks of it.
Those header trailers fold up and you can haul around 9 of them with one vehicle, and they fold up easy. With the header trailers you need 9trucks
It’s actually faster to do it that way than get a header trailer
There are some that tires just fold down off the header

Why is the Fendt Ideal combine going north instead of the John Deere combine that was purchased for that purpose ?
The Fendts do a better job on the sample and better savings in canola. So since I have the option, I ll take it 🙂
Also the Fendts are under full warranty in case something happened on the long move up.

This sounds stupid, but why have two farms that farm from each other? Seems to be a lot of movement for a farm so far away.
I think it's because if they spread out their land, the southern farm might yield badly, but the northern farm might get more rain, and yeild better.
In a dry year the north farm will yield good and in a wet year the south farm

4 to tonnes depends on model and width
