  • In this video, I will show you how to use the Ducati Power Launch (DPL) feature on the Ducati Monster 937. DPL is an electronic rider aid which helps you accelerate from a standstill. With this feature, all the rider needs to do is focus on releasing the clutch. The computer will modulate power to the back wheel and keep the front end down.
    If you have a Ducati, this is a fun feature to try if you haven't already. If you own another motorcycle brand with launch control, feel free to check out my full Launch Control video talking about the basics.

    It’s smart that a limited launch feature was added. It’s to prevent the clutch from over heating and excessive wear.

      Awesome, thanks for watching! You're going to love the bike. I have a lot of fun every time I take it out on the road. Where are you located?

      @Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles I'm from Singapore! I used to ride a Triumph Street Triple RS, I do love the Triumph but there's something about the Ducati that gives me that thrill and excitement!

    Cool! I see that you were in Touring mode. Recall what the DWC setting was at?

      Thanks! It was my first time trying it so I wanted to start in Touring. DWC at 3. It can probably be scaled up all the way to sport mode without wheelie control.

    Once you launch from 1st, you quickshift up?

      I prefer the quickshifter, but you can manually shift if you like. It's just not as fast.

    Does it matter what ride mode ur in?

      It doesn't. I had it in touring mode for the video. I probably wouldn't do it in urban mode - less power.

    What happens when you finish the available launch?

    • @Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles
      @Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles  7 месяцев назад +4

      The computer will lock you out of the power launch for some time, but then it will reset and give you 3 launches again.

      The service light comes on, which can easily be turned off by an Authorized Ducati Service Center after clutch replacement. 😂
