I stopped listening when they all nodded at "sport mode is terrifying"...really? (a guy who owns a 2024 Ducati Panigale V4R, with the race kit...234 BHP).
I respectfully disagree on the adaptive cruise. I don't like that feature in cars or bikes. I just picked up my Diavel V4 a few weeks ago and absolutely adore it. Just enough tech, but not too much. Heated grips and seats and radar maybe for something I do long distance on, but this is my back road, day trip, rip around town sort of bike. I do agree about the mirrors though. I loosened the clamp for the master cylinders and rotated them up a bit, which rotates the mirror arms. That gave me a littler better view and actually put the levers in a better position fo rme too. Great review.
Just got one of these. The mirror issue is one everyone talks about, but I think I figured it out. If you push the mirror arm forward and then make the mirrors parallel with the grips, you have decent vision. Definitely different from any other bike I've been on.
Nice review I like the different perspectives. Thinking about replacing my m1000r with this and maybe trying to replace my Indian chieftain as well if I like the touring bag setup . I am a very small rider 5’2” and this is one I can “semi” fit at stock height because of how you sit in it vs on it. Hubby now has the rocket 3 and had 2 of the older diavel versions so he is a fan of the idea.
Power output in touring mode is the same as in sports mode (168hp), the throttle response though is different. It is the same with my Monster 1200s (147hp)
I really like this Video, but I have a quick question, I'm still deciding between Diavel or Panigale, which do you think will be more fun, practical, good looking, which you can use as your daily for commute, etc...? I really wanna get one of those... thanks in advance,,, 😀
Tough choice. I think the Panigale is hands down the better looking of the two, but and perhaps surprisingly the Diavel would be the moe practical of the two, particularly if it would be your only bike
As an owner of this bike I’ll toss in my 3000 mile impressions. The mirrors are terrible. They really only move along one axis…. The exhaust note doesn’t really sing until the revs are up… steering is significantly more agile than that steamroller rear tire would suggest… Controls are thoughtfully laid out and easy to manipulate… The quick shifter likes rpms… fit and finish are excellent… Riding position is good for a taller rider like myself. (6’-2”) I wouldn’t put my worst enemy on that back seat. 😅
You absolutely can be wrong and think the Diavel looks good 😆. Some bikes are so awesome though that looks don't matter and the goofy looking Diavel is definitely one of those motorcycles.
@@BikerTorque I also agree that it's definitely a unique looking motorcycle and I definitely appreciate that. Just like the Triumph Rocket though, I think they're very unique looking and even rad. Just in a goofy way 😂.
I find the Diavel 1260S to be better looking than this generation. It was edgier and sharper. This one got kind of bulbous and bubble'y in the front end. The rest of it looks amazing and is an upgrade. But the headlight is plump looking now, and he intakes have a weird sag down that makes them look like horns, and the weird angle fairing around the radiator is a big downgrade from the previous gen with the integrated turnlights.
I have a Duc Monster 1200 and 821 before that. The weakest (cheesiest-useless) part of many (most?) Ducatis are those mirrors. I replaced with Rizoma bar end mirrors and the image is clear and much wider. Now I can see those red and blue lights way behind me. 😅

You are so cool

Really love the multi-host format you guys use, much more engaging than just a single middle-aged dude talking to a camera!
Thanks, glad you like it. Definitely agree that diversity is a great thing, would be very boring just watching me drone on.
I love the Diavel. Such a beast... especially the V4.
Agree Chewie, it is a beast
Yup, if I ever sell the Tuono, THIS would be the bike!
Love the Bulldog reference Ross 👌
Hey Jamie, I reckon the Diavel would be a perfect bike for you.

Thanks for watching, yes can understand adaptive cruise control isn’t for everyone. Good tip on the mirrors. Glad to hear you enjoyed the video.

Agree, different from every other bike on the market
I rode one and loved it. Lack of space precluded me adding it to the garage.
Bigger garage maybe?

Yes, definitely a bike you sit in, seat height should be ok, let us know how you go.
It looks like a VMAX with Italian styling to me, minus the functional rear fender.
Yes, it does look a bit like the VMAX
Teagan you got ripped off. A magnificent looking bike 🤩
And didn’t she let us know about it.😂😂😂
@@BikerTorque as she should 🤣😂
Fun monster of a thing handles a bit weird at speed but yeah loved it great vid guys cheers
Glad you enjoyed it
Diavel vs M1000R ? Both fantastic bikes.
Agree, we reviewed the M1000R last year, awesome bike and probably just wins it for me over the Diavel V4, but only just.

Isn’t that what we said?
@@BikerTorque not specifically I think…. But when I win lotto this will be my 2nd bike

Thanks for sharing, glad it wasn’t just us with those mirrors, and the rear seat, well, you summed it up perfectly
Not enough shots of Tegan riding the bike!
She agrees.
They dont offer the Diavel in the "X" format with the V4, do they?
Don’t think so.
how bout a triumph rocket 3 as a close comparison?
would love to as soon as Triumph in Australia can get us a Rocket 3 to review, they've been a bit slack lately.

This bike has won multiple international design awards. But of course, you’re right, what do they know?
That's not 168hp at the wheel. 😊
Ok
i like the bike, but im not sure its a tourer at all, there's no place for bags.

I stopped listening @ "168 hp thats at the wheel" - NO its not! Best on anyones dyno, with exhaust & upmap is 164 AT THE WHEEL.
cool.
Looks like an insect, mirrors are antennae and tail light is like a nest.
But in a good way, right?
My buddies say the tail light looks like a pair of hands cupping my arse 😂
