Btw if an item is marked as “sold out” on lego it means it recently retired if it is marked as “sold out will be restocked soon” its just sold out normally, lego takes a while to update their website set status
Great pickups! I’m not too concerned yet with Battle of Endor Heroes lingering. It’s retired in other countries and there are strong rumors of another Star Wars BrickHeadz 5 pack this year with a $5 increase in price. There is going to be very strong collectability with this set IMO. I have 15 of the Millennium Falcon Holiday Diorama. I’m a big fan of them, will be an even bigger fan if LEGO puts out another Star Wars holiday diorama this year!
Interesting! The only appeal I see to the diorama is the Christmas sweaters. Nobody cares for the sequel characters and it shows in the sales. Good luck on those! The Battle of Endor Brickheadz is a great pick behind the Ahsoka brickhead.
What about the 40658 Star Wars Millennium Falcon Holiday Diorama, it should have been a gwp but ended up being a set which has only been on shelves for 3 months... It's now retired, I managed to buy 15 copies before it sold out at 30% off
I agree, it could have been a cool GWP. I don't mind it being for sale though. The cheap copies got out there, nicely done! Now the question becomes: will there be sustained demand in the future? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I sit on two.
Yea I thought the same thing. Ridiculous to be paying sales tax at Walmart and Amazon. Same thing for paying sales tax on eBay (shipping supplies, etc) super easy to file the forms.
the purple clone trooper set is what i really want to have sadly i only got into lego star wars invest a week ago and missed out on this and the 501st walker battle pack the 2 best sets ever
Dang, you were just a month or two late for the Republic Fighter Tank! The 501st Walker battle pack from 2020 is very iconic but far from a greatest of all time, IMO.
Hello DG Bricks i am Sophie (from europe), thank you for the nice videos . I am new into this. For myself i want to buy 2 sets LEGO Star Wars of each, (starting with the new kits who still are in production) 1 to build and 1 to sell later. Where do i find a good platform to sell it later( with not to much costs), because i am a private seller. I know E-bay. Also i think europe is an other after market than U.S. And a last question, when you buy retired sets, you always buy a sealed version? And if not possible to buy a sealed version how many % discount is current to buy a used version with box, and if it's a version without original box how many % discount? Thanks DG Bricks and keep making off that interesting videos!
Many questions. It's a good idea to buy two sets, build and enjoy one for yourself, and sell the second copy later to recoup some of the cost. The best place to sell will depend on your market (Europe) and the specific set. Yes, used will generally cost less than new in sealed box. Used without box will be cheaper than used with the box. I'd recommend eBay for a beginner seller as it's pretty easy to learn. Best of luck!
Interesting to see the fighter tank and ahsoka Brickhead arnt doing so well whereas the dark trooper helmet is doing really good which most people said to stay clear off.
@@rikothepenguin I get that I just think they’ve both been way over hoarded. I get there’s a long way to go but in the short term the dark trooper helmet is doing better.
@@DGBricksYT I got a couple family members to make a Lego account (max 5 per account) for me. And 2x 15 by someone who sells directly from a warehouse. And 2 times a visit to the Lego shop
People who collect sets in mass to just leave them in the box for years to just resell and make money are why retired sets are stupid expensive. You're not a collector you're a scalper. Prolly not even an actual sw fan
Without resellers you wouldn’t be able to buy it after it’s retired. Who would bother to go through the work of collecting, storing and reselling if there was no profit to make? More resellers also creates a more liquid market, they compete with each other and that helps keep the price down.
@@Cbiscuit262 Yep this is correct. Not to mention that the sets would be much more expensive without the reselling market. The more resellers the lower the price of retired sets. Supply and demand.
I’m not sure if he collects as a hobby, but he reselling, LEGO investing is not as straightforward and ultimately people who resell are providing the set to those who couldn’t have gotten it otherwise. Don’t just think about yourself and your need to get every LEGO set years after retiring at retail price

THx a lot for this video. Waiting for a new one with a list in what to invest in 2024 :)
Coming soon!

The Llama BrickHead looks like it will be a good one . Picked up 30 of those 🤞
Wow! Someone will build a massive Minecraft world and populate it w/ 20-30 Llamas.
Did you go to the stores to get 30? I got 5 from the website

Great details and insight! Holiday diorama, let's go! 😂
I bought 5 of the holiday dioramas. They'll be good by next year when they release a couple more ugly holiday sweater minifigures.
If they release more holiday sweaters, I think you're right.
why are you still paying sales tax at walmart. painfully simple to obtain reseller exemption for walmart, amazon ana few others.

Someone shoot me a tutorial link pls
You can be tax exempt at Best Buy and Barnes & Noble too. Not Target nor Kohls though.

I just now bought 2 of the Millennium Falcon Diorama feel pretty good on it as its such a cool and unique diorama, maybe I will get 2 more
How do you think about Blacksmith? It is not gone yet😂
I am a huge fan of the Blacksmith! Building one someday to go alongside Viking Village and future medieval themed sets.
Great video, thanks . Matt from the uk

Are you still unsure if the Endor Brickheadz will retire? I loaded up and I'm wondering what'll happen still....
Don’t worry it’s retired, I just checked the uk Lego store and it says retired.
Whew! I went heavy into this one.@@footballpicks1851
It's supposedly retired but still available from LEGO for 40% off!
I wouldn’t worry. This set will be very profitable.

bro both the tank and brickhead are doing great. yall cant wait a month to see increases

Well the tank was at $25 haha
I've always been a fan of the 75343 Dark Trooper and I've expressed that publicly on this channel repeatedly. Off to a good start!
The starfighter burn continues
😩I'll have a video out soon hahahaha
Good video!
Any idea what the next gwp will be?
no idea. Check the legoleaks reddit
I got 3 of the Christmas diorama! 2 at 30% off, I wouldn’t be surprised if this set does well next year and even better into its 2nd year
Can I buy the busted Luke set?!
No, I want to sit on it for two years and sell for $150!
I used all my recourses to get to 64 ahsokas and 15 Millenium Falcon Christmas
Wow! How'd you get so many, stop at the store every week?

You should sell that free gunship 😂🥛
Everything in due time!
Why are you going lighter into brickheads?
they're ugly
Overhoarded ofc.
Yeaa
Fans have Lego display rooms, meanwhile yours looks like the overstock closet at a Lego store.
and I like it that way. Have a nice day!
God and I thought the sneaker game was bad, preying on those with FOMO 😑
