The consensus I’ve been getting for the pod race diorama is that it’s stupid overpriced for a few polybag builds and a mid desert scene. Episode 1 fans will enjoy it, but I don’t think it’ll sell that well.
So for the treehouse, there’s some great re-breakable directions to go along with the three in one castle set. I’m definitely going to be loading up on the castle set and couple of the tree houses to go along with it
Rebrickable is great. The alternate builds just for the Treehouse didn't impress me, but I could see how adding some 3in1 castles would expand the possibilities.
If you guys wonder why people buy excisting sets via ebay etc, while you can buy them at the Lego website... Let me explain: I live on a paradise island next to the West Sahara and wanted to buy +5000€ of Lego sets... I could enter my complete adres, became Insider an order everything... Then got a mail from them, that they don't deliver to my adress 😲🤦🏻 Spend lituarly like 50h research etc 😮💨 But eBay etc does deliver to my place! More than 1mil people living here fyi 😅 So, I can never get any gifts or anything 😢 We have 2 Lego stores on the island, but it takes up to 3 months before they have your order in store! 😮 eBay takes 3 days 🤷🏻
Thanks for giving your unique perspective, I hadn't considered that LEGO might not ship to some regions. Easy to see why ebay would be preferable. Do you end up buying from US, European, or African ebay marketplaces?
In regards to the 75345 501st battle pack, I think you guys missed the 75378 BARC Speeder Escape set coming out this year, which will contain 2 501st troopers for $29.99. Yeah I know it's only 2 minifigs, but it will have an impact. Also worth mentioning is the already retired 75280, that will create a glass ceiling - why would I buy 75345 with helmet holes, if for $5-10 more I can get the 'better' battle pack?
You have some very insightful points. I will say 75280 is already at $62 on Amazon and likely not ever coming down significantly. So even if 75345 only grows to $40-50, that's still a very good ROI. The Barc Speeder escape looks pretty overpriced so even at $24 I would think sales would flow to the 501st BP.

Instead of 2 tier lists in the video (like some people suggest), I would rather have links to your final tier lists, or have it written down, in a pinned comment/video description. That way you still need to 'battle it out' but at the end, we get your individual thoughts. Everyone's happy (well, maybe not you guys, because more work, but hey, the community will show their gratitude).
That's an interesting idea. I don't think it takes any more work, we simply wanted to share one list to encourage a lively debate! We'll experiment with changing formats in the future.
I know people talk in unopened mint pricing. But what about sets you build and then sell in the future when they are retired, do you think you’d at least be able to sell them at cost of what you paid?
It would depend what you paid! If you buy at only 20% discount, it's unlikely you can build sets, enjoy, and sell just after retirement for the same amount you paid. If you're getting 40-50% discount it becomes much more possible. If a minifig or set appreciates rapidly post-retirement, that would be your best chance to sell used for over MSRP. But that very seldom happens within less than a year after retirement.

I'm very happy to see that you don't criticize the 322 Ahsoka clone Trooper battlepack so much, because I think it's a good battlepack and it's one of the best builds I've ever seen in one, and to find this I live in it and it is extremely difficult to find in stores, there is only the 501 specialist on the shelf, and this set will actually become even more expensive as we don't know if the Lego will ever come put the focus back on the Siege of Mandalore sets, which in total are 4 officially by Lego
I kind of wish you each had a tier list so we could compare at the end, but in general I agreed with DG more than KDX on this one. I think in general KDX is too optimistic about too many sets.

I'm with Kevin, I think the diorama sets will eventually pop. Probably grab them when they hit 40% off in Q4. Also like the Cody Clone helmet. A couple weeks ago at Target you could get it for 20% off plus a $10 gift card. Keep on folding that over to the next set. Also a red card. You are looking at almost 40% off.
I think Trash Compactor & Dagobah may have some price growth from MSRP but all of the others are so overpriced that I'm treading very lightly. Good deal on Cody!
I’m 100% with you on the battle packs DG, another reason why I’m high on them is that for some reason they’re going under the radar. This is the first time I’ve seen battle packs talked about so little in the investing community, and when they’re discussed, the enthusiasm is mid. Only 159 listings on eBay for the 501st and 98 for the 332nd!!! The lowest supply on battle packs I’ve ever seen while they’re still on shelves! I really think y’all are sleeping on the Stormtrooper Mech…🤫
I agree! Battle pack demand is proven. If there's low supply, that will just make prices rise faster. Not sure why there's been less investor hype for this year's amazing battle packs. And I do think the 332nd will retire after all, since KDX pointed out that LEGO wants to push the new 75372 clone and droid BP at its higher price point. A Luke's X-wing mech is rumored for this summer. Will this become a fully fledged subtheme or just a series of 4? That will determine whether I invest.

200bucks for brown chunks of blocky Lego call it Chewbacca to chew up nerds dollars . Slave mini is the best , the minifig alone is a beauty worth the money.
Managed to score 10 of the 501st battle packs for 44% off in the uk 🤣 Retailer was running a 2 for £20 offer compared to the msrp of £18. 🤷♂️ couldn’t resist the opportunity, now need to get my parents to buy another 30 odd 🤣
No way in hell Ghost will be retiring this year. Im in Aus and you can only get it direct from Lego store basically (and usually sold out) and its always at retail price. I think ive seen discount it like $20 and thats it. Its clearly selling out whenever back in stock. They aren't going to let go of a cashcow. In-store clearance at many Walmarts. Stores do clearance on a case-by-case basis but enough locations got Yavin 40% off that I'd expect there's high supply with that cost basis...
What’s the difference when someone buys a car or a home and it appreciates in value? No one is forcing anyone to buy anything. But if you want Cloud City, you’re gonna pay the late tax.
You guys have to do this every quarter to see how the standing change as the retiring list solidifies and sales occur

You could certainly sell just one, but the organization isn't much more work to grab 3 or 5 or 10.

I love how bright and colorful the 332nd troopers are. I've seen the same thing, they're harder to find in stores than 501st Troopers.
