- This is my grade 8 Inspirational Valedictorian Speech. I'm going to miss this school.
Good afternoon peers, teachers and parents. For all of us here, today may seem like the end of a story; a conclusion to the 10 years of work we've put in here at elementary school. However, I see today as the end of a chapter. There's still so much to look forward to, but before we turn the page, let's take a look back on the last 10 years of our lives.
You know you are anxious when you are trying to write a speech for your graduation and you are already getting anxious just listening to one.

I’m sure you will do well. Just practice a bunch of times before and realize you were chosen to speak because your teacher believes in you and knows you are capable of doing a good job.

I'm one of the candidates to be a valedictorian. This speech is what I'm hoping to achieve in the end. I can't even begin to comprehend how you maintained eye contact, a steady voice, and didn't seem even half nervous. I might not get chosen, but at least I got to be graced with this inspirational, wonderful speech:)

This speech just hit different from every other speech I've seen. I have to write a speech for graduation in 3 days, and the teachers are going to to select the best speech. The only thing is I don't know what to do for a hook. Your speech is amazing!

Thank you so much! The trick for public speaking is simply practice, like everything else. Starting in Grade 7, I took every opportunity I could to do public speaking and this is the result of that practice. If you're interested in public speaking, I suggest just putting yourself out there. You'll get recognition regardless of how good the speech is because most people don't have the confidence to do it :)

That was absolutely amazing, when I left primary school I would never of been able to do anything like that you did a great job but please don't be nervous about starting secondary school I was kind of nervous myself but in the end I really enjoyed it not only all of it but my first day aswell, I hope you have a great Summer and good luck with your next level of education 😊

Hello rowan can you give me tips on how to make a graduation speech? (im currently at grade 6) can i just have some tips
My approach to writing this speech was different from my typical approach. Valedictorian speeches are more personal and nostalgic. What I did was break it up into three sections. I had an introduction, I told the story of our entire school experience (this is the longest section), and then the conclusion where I looked back on the progress we made and what our future holds. A speech like this will take form as you write it- just enjoy the process. Thanks for watching!
