I believe Penelope did the right thing by exposing Marina. She was going to entrap Colin in a sham marriage, knowing full well that Pen had feelings for him. I understand that back in those times that if you had a child outside of marriage you would be shunned for life and that Marina did do it to protect herself and her child but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s wrong. Besides, she had many other suitors at her doorstep anyways. She could’ve chosen one of them. What else was Pen supposed to do? If she had told someone like Colin or Eloise, they probably wouldn’t believe her.
she begged her not to. begged. Marina had it coming. she thought she could get away with not only deceiving the bridgerton family but backstabbing the only other person who showed her kindness. she figured Penelope was weak and couldn't do anything to stop her but look what happened.
Honestly, I wouldn't blame Penelope for posting Marina's pregnancy. In the second season, I got very angry seeing Eloise insult Penelope for doing this. Actually, Penelope wrote those things because Colin was going to be made fun of, Marina wanted to fool him. In some scenes she seemed to boast that she had managed to make him fall in love with her and so she could cover up her scandal. I don't think Marina is a saint, on the contrary it was very unfair, the fact that she then has an "unhappy" marriage somehow deserves it.
1. She had other ways of letting Colin or the Bridgertons know about Marina. She didn't have to make it so public. 2. Think of Marina's situation from those days' perspective, lack of sex education and proper teachings and importance of social prestige. And why does she deserve an unhappy marriage? Just because she didn't know anything about getting pregnant before she was? 3. Penelope didn't do anything to save Colins, she was just jealous cause she was in love with Colins and was mad jealous.
@@villanelle2.0 yes that may be true but if was so concerned with securing her children's future and making sure there was no scandal she would have married lord rutledge to make sure her children would not have to live on the streets but instead she took the risk of trying to get an enganment with colin. So instead of making sure her children live secruly she was only thinking about herself

I have seen both Marina & Daphne embroideries. And Daphne’s is far superior. I saw 👀 Marina’s in the episode where Colin made the tomato 🍅 joke. And Daphne’s the first episode. Waiting for suitors with her mother. So my point is if Colin thinks Marina’s embroideries is better. He really is blind.
I think Anthoney had a sneaky suspicion all along that penelope had feelings for colin and that colin felt something for her which is why he kept on looking at penelope checking that she was ok as a friend the whole time colin was courting marina and sneakly stareing at colin to see if he actually had real feelings for marina
Someone pointed out to me that Anthony keeps looking over at Penelope so I had to come check and in fact, at 0:32 he rather unslyly glances twice in a row
@Ashley Monique Yes he's older, but the age of maturity was different for men and women in those days. And by men's standards, Colin's still an adolescent. There's a reason why both Anthony and Benedict, both even more significantly older than Daphne, married long after her and at much later ages.
Begin LWD was the only way to make people listen no ever pays attention to her advise. she told colin marina has a lover he didn’t even listen, warned eloise so many times in Season 2 that theo isnt the best company to keep she didn’t listen both had it coming cause a little scandal was the only way to save them from ruin in long long run.
She could have told marina if she didn't tell Colin she would but to out her publicly an put that burden on marina an her child was cold for that I cannot stand Penelope don't know if I can watch her storyline with Colin

They made Anthony likable in season two where in season one many people hated him. I think Penelope will turn out likable in season three. Especially if they are to keep a few things from the books.
Do not like Penelope she is lady windblown and she maybe telling the truth but the truth can hurt people just like a sword and she was always in the bridgerton house and she wrote such mean things about daphne all is fair in love and war Penelope was a coward she should have told Collins that she was in love with him it was not her right to tell people that miss Thomas was pregnant

You could argue that she should have just told him the truth; 1. he probably wouldn't have believed her since he didn't believe lady W. 2. Pen was 17 years old, I'm not sure about you but iv'e never met a rational 17 year old who makes perfect decisions every day of their life. Pens only sense of communication is through her writing, she most likely doesn't know how to express her emotions by speaking. I think we should be looking into her character more in depth instead of just saying she is mean🤷♀
