Emily Blunt is the GREATEST!
YES! 🙌🏻😍
@@bluntxwiig1612 thanks 👍
She is
Was that she in the devil wears prada?
@@ronaldregajal Yes and she was brilliant in it!
Emily is the Meryl Streep of her generation. So talented. I just adore her.
Lol. That's not a compliment. For any of them.
Saoirse is next.
@@jkbarber62 Couldn’t agree more.👍🏻
Honey she is so far ahead of Meryl 😮
Emily blunt brilliant singer, Christopher Walken brilliant actor, the sorrow and grief on his face, class actor.
That's the Glasgow coming out of him, we're a bunch of softies don't you know?
Christopher Walken proving that even in silence he is the GOAT.
At least.❤
Well he does have a goatee..
Wow, phenomenal acting by Walken. He didn't have to say a word.
Walken performance here reminds me of Ben Johnson's soliloquy at the stock pond in the "The Last Picture Show." Brief, but very powerful performances by these two great actors.
Just as well. His Irish accent was appalling. 😂😂😂
Traveling through Ireland and Scotland, this is exactly like the type of music you'll find by those passionate people. The pubs have so much local talent.
agreed, and now, the pubs are smoke free for the most part so everyone can go and listen to glorious music!
Indeed, once when I was out walking with a friend up on the hills overlooking Campbelltown, we came across a man and his wife in their garden. We stopped and talked, he was Paul McCartney and his wife Linda.@@paulkramer4176
This is a lovely Scottish song.❤
I'd love to visit Scotland for theseee 🥹

I saw this movie right after my husband died, and loved every single bit of it. This song haunts me still, and I listen to it over and over again - tearing up every time. What a gift this movie was at such a sad time in my life. Emily Blunt's version is the best I've found, but I also love the rendition at the end of the movie (spoiler alert) where all the characters who've passed on in the movie join in. What a wonderful job Christopher Walken did in his role, too!
I am sorry for your loss.
❤❤
SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, BUT WHAT A SONG TO REMEMBER YOUR SPOUSE BY!, YOU SHOULD ALSO LISTEN TO MANRAN'S VERSION CAUSE THAT'S JUST AS BEAUTIFUL!
Definitely check out "blooming heather" by Kate Rusby if you haven't already.
so sorry to hear that
Emily Blunt looks better every time I see her. She is multitalented. Great job!
Emily never ceases to amaze me, stunningly gorgeous.
Jesus. 😳 I didn't know she could sing-sing. This is amazing! The texture and colour of her voice, the arrangement...
Apparently, her husband didn't know either. He came to her practicing for this part. A very pleasant surprise
She's terrible. Listen to someone who can really sing this.
@@peteguard3571of course he knew she did “Into the woods” in 2014 and “Mary Poppins returns” in 2018 both needed a year to produced. He knew, I promise
@@Inferno-Dantehe didn't know before he first heard her sing for into the woods 😊
It really amazes me how talented these actors are. They act, they sing, they dance, they draw and they paint... They are truly multi-talented people.
But they can’t do Irish accents. She does sing beautifully.
@@BobbiMac LOL :-)
@@BobbiMacAs my grandmother used to say, “Nobody’s perfect.”
Emily Blunt is a national treasure! She blows every part out of the water. Bloomin' love 'er! ❤
An English woman playing an Irish girl singing a Scottish song.
Emily Blunt is incredibly talented! Thank you, Emily!
Hey, I am already in love with Emily Blunt. Now she can sing, too? WOW!
That was beautiful. Walken did a marvelous job showing how the song broke through and touched his heart.
"La cancion irrumpio y toco su corazon" wowww💗
No one is impervious to the gut punch this is this songs minor fall.
Not used to seeing him emotional.
I was touched by his performance in this scene. I know how a song can bring up the raw emotions. He's excellent!
POW
This might be my new favourite movie scene. Every time I watch it I notice something more exceptional. Brilliantly performed: not just Emily Blunt - who certainly does nail it - but Christopher Walken who gets a gold star for the emotion he communicates.
I could not say this any better and I wanted to but …I salute you!
×2
emily blunt makes this beautiful song her own in her wonderful performance
I'm Irish, never heard this sung live until one day when at the funeral for a young lady that passed away suddenly.
An old man with a great voice just started belting it out, with everyone in the graveyard joining in for the chorus for each verse. Blew me away
Wow, it must have been amazing and heart breaking at the same time witnessing that.
@@rly_11166 I didn't know the lady, I worked with her husband. It was the saddest but most touching sendoff I have every witnessed. You could tell it meant more to family than a hundred visits to a breavement counsellor
Emily you are a sweetheart in every film
This movie is a wonderful respite from a world that has lost it's way.
"hold fast" (1 Thess 5 :21) and it will get better (see Revelation. 11:18 & 21 :1-5 & Daniel 2 :44) wait for it, the best is yet to come.... So, as the Bible says... "may you have peace within you"......
You got that right! 😂
My goodness...Emily Blunt can really sing. IMPRESSIVE!
힘들고 지치고 또 힘들고 또 지칠때마다 이 영상을 보며 삶의 경건함과 숙연함을 느낍니다.
Emily blunt is my favorite actress british, she has the voice of an Angel, beautiful voice Emi💖
I've loved this song for a long time, and her rendition of it is lovely. How can any listener not weep at least a little?
I try my best not to fall in love with Emily Blunt but it's so impossible. She's definitely the total package. Talented, beautiful, sweet, cute & humble. Definitely my all-time celeb crush!
💕💕❤❤
Great reaction from Walken when he hears the song. FIghting back the tears.
Her voice is beautiful. I haven’t seen the film but will buy the soundtrack just for this song. It’s lovely.
You must see the film.
I’m glad I’m not the only one commenting that thinks this movie is an absolute treasure ❤️ but can’t stop crying when I watch this scene. Emily is an unbelievably talented singer/actress 💕
I loved this film I cryed alot though reminds of my parents and my Irish heritage
I save all my crying for touching movies like this- then I don't cry over myself and feel bad- these loving movies are so healing💜
She excelled as the "second" Mary Poppins. Very believable and truly exceptional. And she is SO versatile. She was so different in The Devil Wears Prada. Versatility is often the key to success and Emily deserves every accolade she gets.
I'm not crying, you're crying.
@@TobinGeorgeWashington Don't understand!
I did not know she could sing. This song is beautiful and so emotive. The Irish have a magical way with music and lyrics. Bravo!
she's not Irish and neither is the song, but you are right about the Irish
It is an old Scottish song. The Irish love our music.
@@stuipooey1She is British.
@@cherylmcnutt9905 aye she is that
@@r.johnston919Written by William McPeake from Belfast Ireland mate..these words and music were released in 1957 although it is loosely based on an old Scottish song but they are 2 completely different songs. I think what your trying to say is you wish your little Scottish ditty sounded like this. 😂
I absolutely love this film. Sometimes it's just nice to watch a gentle film💕
Never knew she could sing that well....Talented lady.
Beautiful Movie, Beautiful Song, Beautiful Voice, Beautiful Singer
Oh Emily Blunt has the most beautiful voice like an angel. With brilliant acting from the hole cast.
Emily Blunt is just amazing! Such an elegant, noble beauty 🤗🍀 amazing voice and talent ! Bravo, Emily 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👑
She has got "orange peel" on her.....
@@bertplank8011 True, but then again, not her fault, but the mua's.
With the overblown Hollywood's so called love stories...this is something so special that it's breathtaking. Where I can actually breath easy and feel good about it. A beautiful country side themed story with simplicity but full of heart.....I am breathing easy.
I was on a flight last week and watched this little gem of a movie. I couldn't stop rewinding this song over and over again both here and when it is sung again at the end of the movie. It is a beautiful song and I absolutely loved that I stumbled upon this movie
Yeah. I'm not sure how I decided to rent it, but I watched it several times. I did find a little of the dialogue/accents hard to follow. My one criticism is the male lead. He's plenty likable,
and a good actor. But the characterization of the role did not fit an obviously well-heeled,
good looking guy as is he. Needed a good bit more roughhewn, even rube type. But
allowance has to be given for the considerable female audience, which would of course rather see this nice looking guy.
I have had exactly the same problem, I just cannot get it out of my head, I think I have played every version of this song, but I particularly like the massed pipes and drums playing it at the Edinburgh military tattoo.
Beautiful and sings too, hard combination to beat .
We need pubs like this all over America!
Come to Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. We have pubs everywhere and music.
I have the effervescence of blood in my nose and a bruise over my liver from being pommeled in a boxing match I had no business accepting. THIS just hit me in the gut and I can't get up... until I hear it at least one more time.
Lovely, absolutely lovely.
We played this at my Dad's funeral, it was my Granda's favourite song. Such a very special song.
One of my sister's favourite songs too. Every time I hear it I think of her and cry.
Came across this movie on Netflix a couple of weeks ago and was completely overawed by it, Found it so emotional that I couldn't stop playing the scene when she sang to Christopher Walken wild mountain thyme over and over with tears streaming down my face, probably one of the most moving songs ever, I have played just about every version of it and Emily blunt's version is far and away the best. I wonder how many watched it and didn't cry.
There are several people who I love who deserve respect. These people are so beautiful they don't realize or even accept they are special. As such, I find it my roll in life to do so ... Beverley, Jay, Lisa, and Glenn. The world now knows these specific people are special.
Watched this last night....what a beautiful, beautiful movie! And this song.....just take my heart!
Bill this is perfect, your heart is right in there, so much emotion and love especially around your Mother.
Although I have yet to watch this movie this song would melt a heart of stone and the change in facial expressions by Christopher Walken is good acting.
. And Emily Blunt does a fine job of singing it. And she's gorgeous.
Great part when everyone sings with her, I liked this movie alot
Me too ❤️
Emily Blunt has such a beautiful singing voice! So talented! Wonderful actor too.
This is how to make a memorable movie. Strong performance and a wonderful love song. One of the best for so a long time. God bless all here.

Hello Diane
How are you doing today?
You have a sensational voice, Emily. You should release an album. I am sure it will hit Number 1 on the charts. Of course, you are also stunningly beautiful.
First time I heard her sing. She has a beautiful voice.
Love it! Beautiful voice Emily Blunt. This is by far my favorite. Thank you! 💐👏🎶🌹❣
I didn't see the film, just stepped over this video and find myself in tears... Phew! 💘
Only a heart filled with stone cannot be moved by this song.
This song was written by my mums grandfather known as "m'da", my mum has just passed away and I'm listening to this song that meant so much to her not realising just how much it meant to so many people ❤ it was written as a love story to m'da's wife and 18 yr old daughter who had both passed away within a short period. Emily has done an amazing version of the song 🥰
The song was originally written by Scottish poet and songwriter Robert Tannahill It's called " the braes o Balquhidder " Francis McPeake adapted It Into "Wild mountain thyme".
Was your great grandfather Francis McPeake?
Such a sweet love story, so real and yet enjoyable. Beautiful acting and direction.....
Geeze...I just watched this movie and it brought me here to find this scene. Totally blew me away...beautiful song💯🙏🏽
Best scene of any movie ever produced. Absolutely wonderful stuff.😍
So beautiful and Emily is actually very shy with jer singing.
Never seen anyone sing this song without their voice breaking with the emotion
What a beautiful voice!
I absolutely love this movie. One of my favorites!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🍀🍀🍀🍀
As nice a turn at this tune as I have ever heard. Nice job Miss Blunt. You've done it proud.
I don't how we happened upon this movie, but it became a favorite of my wife and mine. And this scene brings it all back home. With her passing, this song continues to bring memories of the years (and tears) we shared. "...and when she passed, it twas like the birds lost their voices..." - no one can phrase a thought finer than an Irishman.
Beautiful Scottish song!
What a wonderful movie! ❤️. Jamie Dornan was EXCELLENT in this movie too. You must watch it.
Love the movie and the music. Bravo! A good réplica for “The Quiet Man” 💚❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹and the girl of course, and all the actors. Very, very good! 💯
What a film… 💚💚💚 and what a voice..
I loved the movie and Emily Blunts version of the Wild Mountain Thyme is the nicest I've heard.

LOVE this lady, as a person, as an actress, and now as a singer as well. Dear Emily, many blessings and well wishes to you and yours. :O)
I may not have liked this movie, but I'm forever grateful to it for bringing this song into my life.
