I laughed and enjoyed this too much! Female here installing my reverse camera myself on an old car. This vid is the best out of a billion I’ve seen! 😂 thank you for an enjoyable tutorial. Tbh, I enjoyed your very gentle and thoughtful enunciation 😊
Dude, you're an absolute lifesaver. I've installed a couple of these in the past, I found passthroughs on both of those cars (Solara and Forte), I didn't have to do this. Now, I have a 2005 Nissan Altima. This video was a needle in the haystack for me. When I got to the trunk, I was like there has to be some sort of passthrough... Sat there searching for 20 minutes in 10 degree weather. Nope, going to have to drill a hole. These are great instructions, I will be doing this tomorrow. Thank you so so much!
Lol Amen to that! Yes everyone does try to walk behind you when you’re trying to leave a store. Dude you’re hilarious! Makes watching a video fun! Awesome thanks for this!
Your video was the first one that came up while researching backup cameras. Oh my goodness, you have no idea how much I needed to laugh. Subscribed to your YT channel and to your Twitter. Thanks!
These t tap connectors have two places for two different size wires, whereas the link you linked aren’t the same connectors? Please advise? Thanks so much
What's the name of the calking that you used, I will be installing a backup camera with the screen in a Nissan Sentra, any other parts that I would need?
Hi, The wire for my backup light is green and black. Should I connect the red wire to the green wire? And just connect the black wire to my body chassis?
Just started installing a back up camera with the rear view mirror in my 2009 f350. Now it’s a no crank, no start. So far it seems like it no longer recognizes the chipped key so the anti theft won’t let it start. May have to have the keys reprogrammed and who knows what else. I wish I would have seen how many videos or posts there are about the no starts after messing with cameras like this- today is day 4 without a truck. Little inconvenient- unplug the negative terminals when you mess with this stuff and it might save you a headache later
okay so I really need a video showing how to set up a stand alone camer, monitor , 12v battery & wires as I want to use my system on my mobility scooter as I'm half blind & mirrors don't get it for me Help please. great video for auto install .
We have everything hooked up correctly, but the monitor isn’t turning on. We tried wiring it to the battery directly to see if maybe the power source wasn’t strong enough, and we got it to turn on. Tried power source in the radio again and still isn’t working. Fast forward to today and we tried connecting it to the battery directly to make sure everything’s still connected properly, and now it’ll light up for maybe a second or 2 and then turn off again. We’re stumped, as everything’s where it’s supposed to be and no dice
Did you do reverse light connection or the switch. If it's the reverse it will only turn on when in reverse. If its the always connected then you will need to flip the switch on. No matter which you choose, it will always need that third connection, either reverse or switch to trigger it to turn on. Another thing to check is the fuses.have you checked each wire for power with a tester. Maybe one of the clips did not make a full connection. It can also be a defective monitor. Hope any of these ideas help. Good luck.
So not easy to do yourself😢 More to it than"easy"😅 I guess it's due to.. I'm not auto savvy..and a female 😂idk.. think I'll just have it installed by someone who's done it before. Lol😅But awesome video!

thanks. we used the split adapter connected to the back up light wires , but you can also just connect it directly to the cigarette lighter outlet.
