I don't like having no way out. I panic when they lock the harness when I'm on a roller coaster. And when it starts moving. Same way on a water slide I know once I push off its no way out.
But the safety harness is what literally what keeps you from flying off a rollercoaster
Atleast on a water slide, the worst thing that would happen is some cuts and bruises.
The fear is coming from how you can't get out when you want to.
Then you shouldn't be riding the big boy rides! I hear the kiddie rides have no harness, just seat belt. . .

This is the sort of ride I'd always build on Roller Coaster Tycoon but I didn't actually assume existed, but of course it did! I want to go on one of these!
I want to go on something more thrilling than Heartline Coaster 1.
The excitement rating for this ride in RCT really sucks. Watching this video, I can understand why, it’s rather underwhelming.
@@JacobDTulio IDK looks way more fun the very crappy stats RTC gives it. The chain lift part actully looks more fun then chain lift of more traditional coasters.

William Shipman They were almost entirely isolated to Japan. One made it to the US before it closed in 2005.

Fun fact about this roller coaster, it actually came straight out of Houston Texas. The Ultra Twisters original home used to be Sixflags Astro World in Houston. It was there for many years. I remember riding it when I was 9. It was later sold to this park when Astro World was shut down. It used to be blue and white.

I'm lucky to have ridden the ultra twister at astroworld in my youth. I didn't realize how rare the coaster was in the states
I need to go on roller coasters with people who talk a lot so I can stop thinking about the scary ride and instead pay attention to the conversations.

THIS IS THE EXACT SAME COASTER THAT WAS AT SIX FLAGS ASTROWORLD BEFORE IT SHUT DOWN!!! I KNOW....I RODE IT!! SCARIEST RIDE I'VE EVER BEEN ON, EXCEPT FOR "DUNGEON DROP"! Glad to see it's still in use!
TOGO made a few of these. Sadly, the one that once operated in the US is in storage in Maryland.

I rode the one that was at Astroworld when I was a kid. It was kinda okay, but the restraints were horribly uncomfortable and the noise was worse than any coaster I've been on. It's just a poorly designed coaster overall.
I can understand that. I like the concept, but in this case the concept doesn't match the hype.
akaTheWilyFox There were other problems too. I remember the cars often got stuck at the top of the lift hill, and the track switch mechanism took way too long for a car that only held 4 people, meaning it was really inefficient at keeping the line moving. At Astroworld, you pretty much had to queue for this coaster first, or you weren't going to ride.

Great camera angles! I really like the uniqueness of this coaster. It has some great elements but because of the two tracks running paralegal to each other, it takes up very little space. Nice!

When I went to Adventure Dome a couple years ago, my friends and I went on the ride called El Loco (3 times), and there's no shoulder restraints like the one's here, just the lap thing like the on on Thunder Mountain at Disneyland. El Loco has loops exactly like this, but our ride broken down in the middle of one of those things (I think there were three of them) and because of that, I was hanging halfway out of the ride, and I almost plummeted 20 feet to my serious injury or death. =)

They used to have one in Six Flags Great Adventure back in the 80s.

This ride (Same Name)used to be at "Six Flags AstroWorld"(RIP Astroworld) in Houston, Texas!! Great to see that it's still running somewhere! :)
I think the one in Japan has always been there. I remember hearing on one of these videos that there were two made: One for Japan and one for Six Flags. The one for Six Flags went into storage after Astroworld closed, then (I'm guessing) it was scrapped in 2010 (venture to say Six Flags might have lost some parts to the Ultra Twister when they were moving it from Astroworld, as I heard that was the case for a few rides).
We had this ride at Six Flags Astroworld! One of my favorites! 💕 I'm so glad to see it still exist!

This was exact ride that was originally at Six Flags in NJ (aka Great Adventure) in the 70's. As far as I know the ride is still in storage at one of the Six Flags. I remember waiting on long long lines and watching people leave the line as they chickened out at the last minute. The Japanese have nothing on us.

How high was the drop? I have been on a roller coaster with a 180ft drop at 90 degrees. And the speed was 85 I believe. I just thought it was interesting to know.

Rollercoasters are the best thing, I am a roller coaster junkie so I really want to go on this! 6 flags Great America was really fun, I went on the 4th of July and went on a roller coaster for the first time. Now I am hooked and I am watching all of these to get my hopes up for going soon 😂
