Nothing alarming. No such issues raised by previous Kumaris ever. Also dark room is due to the traditional architecture of temples and houses in Nepal. Most of the interior of temples and houses are dark by design of Nepali traditional wooden windows which act like one way glass window

Gladly, it is not a problem as the priests are highly religious and the girls are considered goddess. Cases of priests exploiting kumaris is unexistant

I may not understand this, but I respect it, and I believe it should be protected and allowed to proceed without hindrance. As long as no abuse in at least the most basic sense is not occurring, we have no right to disrupt it. Of course, part of allowing this religious practice to continue is to allow it to organically adapt and change as per the feedback of the former 'Kumaris' and other relevant individuals.

How do they connect with the real world after they start their periods? How do you go from being venerated to being a normal young girl?

They arent totally detached from the real world.
They already would have their fair share of experience regarding it.
But again community make efforts to re-introduce her into the society, i heard there are counselling sessions with former kumaris and all.
