thanks for the review, just bought a solocast and im in the process of getting a similar boom arm. i like the editing, very fun video. Have a nice day :)
You're welcome. Thanks for the kind words!. After using a Solocast for a while now, one tip I might give (if yours is like mine) is turn down the volume in system settings (mine is at 30 percent ) to where it doesn't distort when talking close to it or loudly (cause it's bad for distorting with loud noises or if you're a little close) and then boost the gain a bit in OBS or whatever software you're using. Just a heads up in case you have a similar experience. I can get right up to the mic that way with no issues.
Thanks bud. I had these exact items in my carts and happened to stumble upon your video. Picked up some beyerdynamic DT 900 x pros, so now trying to find a mic solution. Got the hyperx at best buy cheap and not happy with how it works sitting behind my keyboard. Still not sure if i want a huge mic arm in front of me though since im not a streamer and jsut need it for comms.
you’re funny af and super helpful, you’re very underrated good sir. also would you say the shock mount is worth it if the boom arm comes with a pop filter?
The only thing I might have had was some OBS built-in filters. I don't remember what I used then, but I currently use noise suppression, a 3-band equalizer, a compressor, and a limiter. Those are all built into OBS though. I didn't use any special programs.
