We have had 3 false springs so far. Snow level down to 2,000 feet here in Oregon today. Mountains look white and winter like. Rained a lot this weekend. I was going to cut firewood in Corvallis, but got rained out yesterday. Gotta wait until false spring #4 shows up. Glad you are getting some warmth! My hair is falling out, soon I will catch up to you! God bless Ben!
Yeah I love the false springs wish they lasted longer. We call them winters. Just had red bud winter now we are finishing up dogwood winter. I’ve had a fire the last four mornings and loved it. We have a couple more little winters coming hopefully if not the stove will be mothballed till late October. 🥲
I split right into totes pretty much just the way you were. I use a Sawzall with 18 or more teeth per inch to cut the sides out. The blades are cheaper than stones for the grinder and the Sawzall is faster. Don't know if you have a Sawzall but if you do might be worth a try. Have fun at the river.
Yeah I do but my MIL currently has it. The grinder got the job done. I’m really becoming a fan of the totes quick and easy. Thanks so much for watching and stopping by.
Nobody said anything about swimming lol. Actually we just went to a property overlooking the river and looked at it from the balcony. Thanks for stopping by sir.
Hickory cuts and splits hard I charge more for all my smoker / cooking wood . I got a video coming out soon on Re splitting Pecan on my Kinetic splitter .

Me Chanel
Greetings from Germany Peter
I sure hope the results you get is worth all the hard work you put in.
I do alright. I don’t work all the time. Thanks for watching and stopping by.
Looking forward to seeing how the big firewood pile dries compared to stacking.
Yes me too hoping that can be my go to method going forward. Sure would save some time.
When a Blonde says “let’s go to the river- best not to say No! Take care🇺🇸
You got that right. Especially when you’re married to her.
The hickory is looking great Ben! I tend to get a lot of boring bug in my hickory. Have a good one👍👍
Yeah I do too just part of it. The little suckers make a mess.
Hello Ben,fine looking hickory. Enjoy the river.ever look for arrowheads?
Thanks Brent. I’ll keep my eyes open. Enjoy your day.
Hickory firewood looks good stacked in totes. Still think I would stack a Face cord between 2 totes on pallets. Beats driving T-posts in the ground.
That would work. You could actually stack a couple in between. May give it a shot sometime. I’m still figuring out where everything goes for now.

In my opinion hickory is premium firewood!🇺🇸👏🏻
Oh yeah it’ll run you out of the house.

Good day Ben - Wow, swimming in the river already. FWIW, Yesterday was the first day of fishing season here in PA. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers

Great video!! I finally got a little hickory for my smokers!! Wish I could find more!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks David. I may have to just bring you some I’m covered up with it. For now anyway.
@@OGAOutdoors I may have to ride over and pick some up!!
Great video Ben. Blondes are a great thing. 👍🏻👍🏻
Yes they are! Thanks for stopping by.
That saw sounds pretty good. You must've spent a little time tuning it in.
Not really anything else than I did the first day out of the box. I just cut out the gasket.
We don’t get hickory this side of the pond, can you actually split it by hand?
Yeah you can just have to take your time. Slab it down like the other tough ones. Enjoy your week.
All your hard work is paying off Ben, now go have some fun with the blonde at the river...
Yeah fun time with the wife is much better than splitting firewood. Thanks for stopping by sir.
Hope the river was good
It was thanks for stopping by.
Appreciate your videos Ben!
Thanks Mike glad you enjoy them. Take care enjoy your Sunday.

Yeah I generally charge more just doesn’t seem to be a huge demand in my area. I guess we have a glut of hickory.
Hi Ben, Still at it I see. Thats a lot of hickory
Joey yes I am. I still have quite a bit of hickory left. Take care and be safe.
Homie, no cap!
I was hot. Little saw was running better.
@@OGAOutdoors "homie no cap" means you are not lying.
Glad you clarified- don’t speak Jive!!
@@MicahHughes-zv5zx had to look it up myself what it meant when first hearing it.
@@MicahHughes-zv5zx I’m not even looking it up. No cap means hot lol.
