These pieces for Organ are absolutely brilliant; my life could have revolved only around these works, and my life would be perfect. Thanks for the recording, it's just pleasing to hear every note, and clearly hear how Bach wanted it to sound
Bach is one of the greatest geniuses that humanity has ever produced... His work is truly divine and transcends the sensitivity of most of us, poor mortals, leading us to experience a little, just a little, of the immense glory of this undeniable genius.
What an amazing performance of an incredibly beautiful and complex music! Thank you so much for posting this! Wish I could be sitting in the church during such a recital.
The fast moving right-hand part is the subject of canon between that part and the lowest part. The lowest part is imitating the right-hand part note-for-note, but an octave lower and half as fast. That's why this variation is called "In Canone all' Ottava per augmentationem." ("In canon at the octave through augmentation.")
Yes I find it makes more sense to conclude with the absolutely crazy variation with four different canons in inversion on the chorale melody (an amazing feat in itself) and the incredible coda which entangles all the phrases of the chorale melody, because that coda is the contrapuncal climax of the set. And a coda is supposed to be the end part, isn't it? At any rate, Bach wrote it that way in the original version. But this is the later version 769a, which has it in the middle. Who knows why?
Howq sad that such wonderful music and rendition should be squashed the keyboard and the cassock and surplice (whatever they wear in The Low Countries)
Thank you N.B.S. for everything you do, for all your amazing work. This is the bright side of the humanity in this dark times.
I truly agree, If only humanity will accept such a miracle!!
0:09 Variatio I
1:37 Variatio II
3:23 Variatio III
7:03 Variatio IV
10:39 Variatio V
Hello, there seems to be a typo at 0:17 . "Kokmm" is written instead of "Komm(e)".
3:23 is Variation V
10:39 is Variation IV
7:03 is Variation III

I hope future generations will be able to hear and experience this beauty and magnificence !

Selten so was schönes gehört, vielen Dank für den Upload. Die Orgel klingt perfekt, wie auch Ihr Spiel.
WOW amazing precision and devotion to Bach's poliphony. Thank you

Die Canonische Veränderungen des Johann Sebastian Bachs erstaunen mich sehr. Viel hat er von einem Chorale gemacht. Danke für dieses Video, NBS!
Bach: light in darkness. That's why I call him Unser Vater. Our Father. Nuestro Padre. Il nostro padre. Notre pere. Nosso pae.
Amen
Bellissimo brano, Winsemius suona alla grande.GRAZIE.
One of the most perfect (canonical) musical achievement. Thank you Master
This is such a beautiful project.
This is so wonderful, I enjoyed the first variation the most. Great work!
unearthly - so beautiful it must have heavenly origins
YES!!
We might imagine that The Holy Spirit was Bach's Co-Composer.
Ces organistes hollandais sont quand même inouï . . . Quelle classe !
Overall a very splendid performance. And especially the last canonic variation with the 32nd notes. Very hard to execute. Bravo!
Bach es el padre dela música, sus obras sublimes llegan al alma, saludos desde Chile 🎼🎶
Музыка Баха - Дар Небес! Спасибо за совершенство!
Amazing🍃Love the sound🍃
Magnifique !
Soli Deo Gloria!
The inscription which Bach wrote on many of his manuscripts.
Finalmente la "versión definitiva" de estas variaciones!
Music has no region, religion, language. Music is beautiful. Thank you
Superbe !
Bravo!
Great !
Maravilloso!
Skøn og dejlig orgelkoncert . Flot spillet....
Geweldig!
Very nice take from an older player 👍.
Variatio V is quite jazzy - as if the right hand is doing an ingenious improvisation ! :) Great stuff !! * sigh *

nice! 😃
What's crazy is that he's sight-reading this!
What gives you the impression that he's sight-reading?
What's truly crazy is the notion that Maestro Bernard Winsemius is sight-reading this marvelous piece, as if he were playing it for the first time.
geweldige filmkwaliteit
I prefer the alternative sequencing where variation no. III is played as no. V.
@Capekurtz That's an amazing input but I can't recall who the fuck asked you
So the B-A-C-H instead of being in the last measure of the work after the flory of the subject, you'd have it in the middle. Dubipus

@@rayancharafeddine4982 Having the coda in the middle is rather strange.
@@frenchimp I'm impressed by your understanding of this work. Do you play it? It's my ambition to learn it.
Which difference (s) is (are) there between BWV 769 and 769a?
With the addition of the letter a in the BWV number, there are multiple variants of a work.
Howq sad that such wonderful music and rendition should be squashed the keyboard and the cassock and surplice (whatever they wear in The Low Countries)
Winsemius is a masterful player but I have to say Peter Hurford dominates this piece
CRZYWOW
