The Dutch and their organs deserve superlative descriptions. The organs and the performers are literally made for each other. Also, I admire their beutiful churches. Deep, lasting Culture everywhere. 🧡
Every country in Europe has many beautiful churches, and most also have wonderful organs. There is nothing particularly unique about the Netherlands in this respect.
Probably the most magnificent organ/case in the world. I will never forget walking in four years ago and turning to the right and being absolutely stunned. Luckily there was an organist there who was practicing, and I didn’t leave for the entire time. Naturally, he was playing Bach :)
The Bach trio sonatas may be the most wonderful pieces of music ever written. They are pieces that only the great master, JS Bach could have written! Beautiful playing on this wonderful instrument. Pieces that could only been inspired by almighty God -- to whom Bach was so devoted!
The last mvt of this sonata has one of the most fascinating subjects by merit of melodic shape and rhythm. It also has an incredible seriousness underlying a fireworks show of dance intrigue. Amazing.

Wonderful performance. Kudos also to Flentrop for maintaining this magnificent organ. It's easy to believe that Handel and a 10-year-old Mozart were drawn to play on it.
As always, splendid playing by the incomparable Matthias Havinga! Bravo! Fluid, flawless execution, and a clear separation of the voices ... not to mention the stunning instrument, and awesome photography! What more can anyone want?
