    The Dutch and their organs deserve superlative descriptions. The organs and the performers are literally made for each other. Also, I admire their beutiful churches. Deep, lasting Culture everywhere. 🧡

    Probably the most magnificent organ/case in the world. I will never forget walking in four years ago and turning to the right and being absolutely stunned. Luckily there was an organist there who was practicing, and I didn’t leave for the entire time. Naturally, he was playing Bach :)

    The Bach trio sonatas may be the most wonderful pieces of music ever written. They are pieces that only the great master, JS Bach could have written! Beautiful playing on this wonderful instrument. Pieces that could only been inspired by almighty God -- to whom Bach was so devoted!

    The last mvt of this sonata has one of the most fascinating subjects by merit of melodic shape and rhythm. It also has an incredible seriousness underlying a fireworks show of dance intrigue. Amazing.

    First of all thank you to the NBS for making this work available for me to experience and appreciate. I must admit that I've not been familiar with this work before so it's a first time experience for me.
    First experiences of any musical work makes a massive impression on a persons brain, and indeed I found this performance highly pleasing, comforting and satisfying. I am certain that I shall return many times to experience this work.
    My chief (English colloquialism) "beef" is the description is of the written description of the key of D Minor in this work. I'm no musicologist by any means but a complete music lover and "worshipper" of Bach's compositions and so I was hoping for a better clarification of Bach's use of the key of D Minor in this work. Indeed it sound very unusual.
    As always my immense gratitude to NBS for presenting this video for my enjoyment, and indeed I have experienced tremendous joy from the performance from Matthias Havinga and please pass my warmest thanks to him and to all at NBS who have made this video possible for me to watch and enjoy. As Always, Greetings to you all form Port Morseby, Papua New Guinea.

      This middle movement was my first attempt to get into the organ sonatas. It was a magical discovery for me. At that time I had access to several pipe organs in various churches. All you needed was to build up a friendly and innocent relationship with the church secretary. They were usually in the church office during the day.

      @Refletindo Sobre o Espaço Tanto voltar no tempo como ser contemporâneo: a música para órgão é imorredoura. Eu mesmo sou brasileiro e componho sempre que me vem um tema à mente. Inclusive o órgão (clássico ou erudito) é minha formação acadêmica em pleno Brasil. O instrumento desta gravação é famoso e, muitos entre outros que gravaram nele, foi o famoso alemão Walter Kraft (1905-1977) quando fez sua integral de Bach para órgão em 1967: aqui ele gravou os BWV 711, 695, 709, 632, 706, 633, 572, 720, 565 e 768.

    • @marcelobrunorodrigues7630
      @marcelobrunorodrigues7630 4 года назад +1

      @Refletindo Sobre o Espaço Curiosidade: o que conhece da literatura organística? Só sei que, salvo engano, é a que tem o repertório mais vasto registrado (anotado) para um só instrumento, excetuando a literatura vocal. Veja como o pessoal que postou aqui aprecia música para órgão: eu toquei em 1994 a convite dum professor alemão que, entre outras coisas, é organista, pianista, cravista, regente do coro da igreja onde toca (sucedendo ao posto que antes era do pai dele), musicólogo especializado na literatura norueguesa para órgão (esse foi o tema da tese de doutorado dele), além de me deixar de presente como prova de amizade e apreço um artigo intitulado "8 séculos de música para órgão", trabalho de intensa pesquisa realizada por ele numa época em que a internet acessível ainda dava seus primeiros passos. Tenho um outro amigo que, embora não seja cravista como o anterior, compõe belíssimas obras, das quais algumas estão disponíveis em partitura, e que me deu de presente, entre outras coisas, 6 prelúdios-corais para órgão recém-descobertos de Handel, que são verdadeiramente fora-de-série: aqui em Brasília, onde moro, devo ter feito a primeira apresentação deles a nível nacional ou pelo menos local. Agora vou ler o comentário do organista do vídeo sobre a obra que tocou: aposto que é interessante.

      @@ruperttmls7985 Oh, yes he was : here's a guy who has thought about this specific (scarecly even "subjective") opinion, for so long. ruclips.net/video/kcvUHdhROrk/видео.html ; please try to understand how great Bach was - his music is life-changing. Just try listening to it all. But if you can't be bothered listening to hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of his incredible music, just listen to a few minutes (or even a few seconds) of erudite opinion from someone who knows what they are talking about.

      I always thought Bach represented the culmination of the baroque period. A genius for all time.

      @@shawardara Bach and Handel put the crowning glory on the Baroque period, which hopefully can be extended to future generations if the indoctrination of current urban culture does not destroy. After those 2 genius composers, Richard Wagner again revolutionized musical orchestration and took us into the current era. Let's hope his contributions are not destroyed as well.
