I was being a Christian ever since I was born, being sprinkled on my forehead after few days from birth, but I never even experienced anything about the Holy Spirit.
I later was being baptizd ( Emerson)in my late 20s but I didn't even experienced anything.
And in 2018 when I was being taught and lead into Hearing the WORD OF GOD, Believing, Repenting, Baptized in water, later baptized by The Holy Spirit, then I came to understand that what is written in the Bible is all TRUE 👍🙌😀 AND IT IS REAL.
And now I am speaking in tongues, and lay hands on the sick got healed, casts out demons in the Powerful name of JESUS and I just couldn't help it because it is not I that is in control but the SPIRIT OF GOD In The Name Of JESUS😇😇😇😇
I was 21 years old, and grew up in a Anglican-based home. I went through my confirmation at age 12/13 for communion, but knew nothing about Christianity. I knew Jesus was born miraculously and was crucified but had no real understanding about it.
I went through a painful childhood, teenage, young adult life. I had enough of this world and its ways. I wanted God and even considered converting to Judaism. At the turning of 21, the usual age when all you want is fun, I wanted nothing but God....I was hungry for him. This world did not tantalize me, it left me abused, broken and beaten.
January 8th 1991 after a situation that caused to call on God to "show me who you are"..."this group says Jesus is 3rd person, this other group says Jesus is God manifested in a human body, another group says Jesus is one of two sons, and another group says Son of God, and another group says a good prophet". I was desperate when I said "God I cannot serve you if I do not know who you are".....suddenly.....something happened. I felt something touch the top of my head and ran down to my feet....like warm electricity and I could see the scripture John 1:1-14. And for the first time I knew who he was. I decided to go to the Pentecostal church of the family I had been living with...renting a room from.
I shared my experience with them and that afternoon, alone in my room, knowing nothing about water baptism, or hearing anything from anyone about water baptism, I felt the tug on me to complete my commitment to God and be baptized in water. I went back to the evening service and told the Pastor I would like to be baptized. It was winter and I would need to be baptized in the tank inside. So the Pastor said we will fill the baptistry and you can be baptized in the name of Jesus on Wednesday after Bible study.
I got baptized knowing nothing about immersion, in Jesus own name versus the name of Father, Son, & Holy Spirit etc. I was baptized January 12th 1991 in the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ for the remission(removal/forgiveness) of my sin.
We all gathered together for prayer and when I said Hallelujah in worship....another language came out. I did not know what was happening....I was raised Anglican and never knew about this. I spoke in tongues and told them in the car going back home that I tried to say Hallelujah but some other language came out. They told me..."you were speaking in tongues". I needed an explanation as to what that was.
It was just a few little words. But on April 4, 1991 it happened again but this time it was like a river of words flowing powerfully.
Fast forward 29 years and every time I pray or worship a foreign language flows from my lips. It changes sounds sometime, sounding Spanish/or Latin, even Chinese or Hebrew sounding.

Great testimony, I speak in tongues often as well and the language and speed and even the force fullness of it changes from time to time.
I didn’t receive the HS when I believed - but when I asked for it: In late of May 2012, I woke up in the morning. And I just knew, if I open my mouth, something will happen. Didn’t know why, but had an inner knowing. I said three or more times; “- Jesus fill me with the Holy Spirit! “
And I was instantly answered, in a blink of an eye, the Holy Spirit came into me. I started to speak in tongues and it sounded exactly the same as when I once laid in my father’s bed and played with his hand (a memory that have stuck in my head 40 something years later). Right away I noticed there was no sense of time. And I couldn’t move my body! What is going on I thought, I just prayed to Jesus!
I don’t know how for how long I laid there in my bed, if it was for 1 minute or 1 hour since I was in a state of eternity. I just couldn’t move or control my tongue who sounded like “Gagagagagagagaga”. Later I realized I never inhaled ant breath during this time when I was like frozen.
After a while I felt my throat started to feel sore, and my thought was whatever is going on, I felt I can’t continue much longer. And as quickly it had started, as quickly it stopped.

We have started a TLR style evangelism ministry down here in NZ in Dunedin. We are new to all this but God is doing wonderful and amazing things here. Last Sunday while out with a group evangelising in the centre of our city a man approached me. Our conversation turned to spiritual things. He revealed that he believed in Jesus and the resurrection of Jesus Christ and that he had been water baptised. But he was very young in his faith and so I explained the gospel clearly and also explained how the water baptism identifies with the death of the sin nature (body of sin) and the burial of that with Jesus and raised up a new creation in Christ Jesus. He hadn't understood any of that then he was open to receive the Holy Spirit. He prayed 'Father I receive the gift of Your Holy Spirit.' Then I encouraged him to pray from his 'belly' not his head and I started praying in tongues. He first copied the first words of my tongue then started praying in tongues without copying me. He got louder praying in his own tongue and so did I (all in the middle of the city in the open). But no-one seemed bothered by it. He came alive and the joy was overflowing in him and me as well. It was amazing!!! The Holy Spirit immediately started to clean up his life as we started to see fruits of repentance too. Thank you TLR your ministry is spreading and growing, even in NZ! Praise the Lord Jesus!

@@deonliberator8953 Yes, yesterday my brother lead someone to Christ and we prayed for a 2 year back problem. After 5 or 6 times she was completely healed!!! She also received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and I explained what water baptism was about and the importance of full immersion etc.

Wow! Can't believe the timing this appeared in my YT feed! Just yesterday I told my friend about a teaching I was gonna do, and I planned to start my teaching with two questions:
1) Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?
2) Why is the answer to this question important?
Today, this video shows up in my feed. "O Lord, may it be a confirmation of what You want to do in the lives of people! Jesus, You said, '"Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”' (Luke 11:11-13). Let Your children ask and receive, Father!"
When I was saved as a child I didn't know anything about being filled with the Holy Spirit or speaking in tongues (I grew up in a baptist church). Years later a friend of mine prayed in tongues and that was the first time I recognized: There is more! It took me 2 years of studying the bible and trusting God, that this is REALLY a gift from God! After 2 years I was sitting home alone on my couch with my bible on my knees. Nobody layed hands on me, no music, no ecstasy, nothing but silence, the bible and me!
I simply asked Jesus and the Holy Spirit to fill me with the Holy Spirit like in the book of acts the people in the church of Jerusalem and as a sign that I receive the gift of speaking in tongues! I asked in faith, I received in faith at once and in the next step I started to open my mouth and hear me speaking out words I think I could never speak out as a natural word! Still being a vety little unsure I asked God in the spirit: Please confirm what I am saying that it is really holy! Then I heard single words like: father, Jesus and Halleluja! Enlish and Hebrew are not my mother tongues but I understand and speak English and of course the hebrew and "international" word: Halleluja - which means: praise God!
What I felt in the moment of receiving was: being connected to a supernatural power like I have a plug and put it into a high voltage supernatural socket!
Starting from that day, I understood the bible in a new and much more deeper way! I was amazed and sometimes I asked myself: Is this verse new in the Bible or has this verse always been there?
I was so sad for myself and my doubting about: is this gift truly coming from God? 😔 I had to ask the Holy Spirit for forgiveness and I can only tell you this: If God has a gift (greek: charisma) for you - do not hesitate but TAKE IT!!!!! ❤
God has only GOOD GIFTS for his children! So be wise and do not miss any good thing from our father in heaven! 🙏❤😊
And one thing left: On the day of pentecost there were 2 groups of people:
The first shouted: Halleluja, this is a sign of God!
The second group: It is 9 a.m. in the morning and they are all drunk! (Because it sounded like they were babbling!)
And friends: YES, it sometimes sounds like babbling, but if you don't like it - it is "God's fault", because he wanted it just like that - because you speak secrets of God!
And if everybody would understand it.. WHERE is the secret???
Believing is not just something internal and abstract, it requires action- OBEDIENCE! We truly believe when we die to our past life in baptism and rise up with Jesus and we are born in the Spirit... That is what Jesus said.. To be born again and see the Kingdom of God, you need to be born of the water and the spirit! It is simple guys, why complicate it? We all need the Holy Spirit!!! it is for you, don't give up

@@DJANDNELL it's like 2 different experiences . The baptism is the power of God and tongues but the Holy Spirit Himself is Jesus a person , He lives in us after we are born again and turn from sin . You dont have to speak in tongues it's not a command it's a choice . But it's supernatural and awsome .
I remember my first experience with the Holy Spirit when I was six years old. The Holy Spirit has been With me my whole Life. I sometimes believed what people told me before Him..and made terrible mistakes in my life. Being terrorized and controlled by self-titled churchmen quoting me their selection of bible verses. Hard lesson learned! I listen ONLY to the Holy Spirit..NOW. No more Men and their stupid bible ideas. God is With me.
Well I've believed all my life. I was baptized in high school and I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit at least once and it was crazy. My friend felt it also and she was on stage singing but we both felt it. After that I fell away again but God called me back 5 or 6 years later. Then I really sought, and really found. I know I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, it was supernatural what I experienced. For a week straight I was on a mountain and had supernatural "abilities." I have never been the same since then. I have fallen many times, but get back up. Once you have an encounter with the Living God you're never the same. But I did believe all my life. So there is no exact prescription for what it looks like. As Paul Washer says, and this is what I'd tell anyone : Pray until something happens (no matter how long that takes)....or Stop ...and go to hell. Your choice. How bad do you want it? May God bless you and fill you with the Holy Ghost.

It took many years after believing to speak in tounges For even after speaking the first few times in tounges I was afraid and recieved religious discouragement at times. Untill finally being on my own praying in the wilderness I found my voice in the Holy Spirit and now the spirit speaks many languages threw me, even dances , songs, and more the more I pursue God in prayer. I find nature is a great place to pray in the spirit and be led into intercession for the body of Christ Jesus our Lord Yeshua 😊✝️🌈

Fantastic question, but did Paul do to them what you did to the woman in order for them to receive the Holy Spirit? Seems like she was forced to speak in tongues because of your lead.
When people speak in tongues biblically, those around will be amazed as they did in Acts 2 rather than mock.
I see where you are drawing this conclusion but read the word of God again when you get the chance. The truth is in Acts 2:12-13 some were amazed and perplexed and others mocked them. so both happened at the same time.
"And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, "what does this mean?" But others mocking said, "They are filled with new wine."

I long time ago receive the Holy Spirit. But still it was hard for me to understand these things, but when the Holy Spirit open my eyes, help me understand from Torben's videos and a few other ministers, I started praying for people with boldness and see things happen and mostly see that they receive the Holy Spirit I was amazed and still am.

The sign of the holy spirit is in your fruits, expedition of expectations is the gateway to lost souls not feeling adequate in their church family.
There are three instances in the book of Acts to where it is recorded believers recieved the Holy Spirit and what happened the moment they recieved ( Acts 2,10, and ch.19) in each instance the first thing that happened was that they spoke in tongues.
John the Baptist told those on the banks of the Jordan River that were weeping and repenting, " Bring forth fruit meet for repentance". In other words he was telling them that the fruit of their repentance was to obey the command to be water baptized. Repentance is completed by water baptism. It's not trying to earn anything. It's our faith in action through obedience that saves us.

For you is there a difference between "receiving the holy spirit" and "being baptized in the holy spirit". If someone repents can they still be lead by the holy spirit, but without the power? Can people be saved if they don't get baptized?(not out of willful disobedience, but maybe out of ignorance or deception)

If people want to stop other people from receiving the manifestation of unknown tongues and scripture commands to forbid not to speak with tongues, then it must be important.
Yes I am sure I received the Holy Spirit when I believed. From my understanding of scripture the norm is that people received the Holy Spirit when they are born again and on the occasions in Acts when this didn't happen there was a very specific reason. However, there is plenty of references to being filled with the Holy Spirit and that this isn't a one off occurrence but something that should happen again and again. I clearly don't know the details and it is a bit unclear whether the lady in the video was already a believer but if she was then I think that what happened to her was that she was filled with the Holy Spirit. She didn't receive the Holy Spirit because that had already happened when she believed.
In Acts 8 Simon wanted to buy the power the disciples had when they laid hands on believers. So Simon must have saw and/or heard something (speaking in tongues) in order to want to buy it. This is an amazing message Torben. Thanks for taking the time to explain this. So many people need to hear this
In my early 30 I went to Bible study, and started reading the word. One year later, while driving, The Holy Sprit desended on me..I felt cheated cause I had to concentrate on driving through my sobs.

Love what you do. Why do you think miracles are not as evident in the church people as Jesus did when he prayed. Healing is the children's bread.

Speaking in tongues every body who is with the holy spirit can do it because that is the confirmation you have it interpreters are needed for Gods massage to be given to his people... So we need interpreters
Do not make standards that make christians tormented, endlessly doubting if they have the Holy Spirit or not. It is called "the doubting disease" or scrupulosity that makes people search endless baptisms, deathly fasting and repentance destroying their lives completely.

The person's own mind gets in the way... I believe that some have been filled but just haven't figured out how to surrender themselves to the Spirit. They Can speak in tongues but their own mind gets in the way.
How did you pray? Who did you for? (Chrestian or non-Christian) , have you led them to repentance? Do you have any DOUBT when you pray for them ??

Please address why you cast out spirits/pray for deliverance for all people Immediately you baptize them.
Why not? There's no guideline on praying for deliverance anyways. From TLR's experience, it is more efficient to do it during baptism or after baptism because that's when the enemy knows it has no authority in that person anymore. Freedom is at hand and that's why we say freedom in Jesus' name. Not everyone needs deliverance but in our world today... a lot of people need it because unfortunately churches (in the west) don't do that often or at all.

One can receive him also because of their faith. The point I have is this. Even if the prophet Elijah laid hands on a man who had no faith in Christ, that man would never receive the Holy Spirit. After you believe and are baptized, the Holy spirit is in you. The peace and purity you feel is a sign not always speaking in tongues. It will come later as we seek or by laying of hands.
I know this has zero to with baptisms but how are guys handling healings on the street with this whole Covid thing are not laying hands on them? Do you always approach them with a mask? What is the best way to approach people right now I’m trying to kickstart myself but it seems as though everyone is very distant and very rushed. Any ideas??? Thanks! And it seems near impossible to ask someone anything while keeping your distance with a mask on.
Just keep using the same thing approach. If they don't want to talk, then move on to the next. It's the same doing but with a mask on or off (your preference). May the Lord be with you!

We are saved. By faith you will be signed and sealed by the Spirit till the day of redemption. You don’t need to speak in tongues to be in dwelled with the Holy Spirit.

The "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" is something seperate where you literally FEEL an infilling of the Spirit and is seperate from salvation and can happen multiple times.

I've gone through repentance and baptism. I was among many others who had hands laid on us, and was told to begin to open our mouths and speak in tongues. But I wonder now and then if the tongues I spoke were of the Spirit, or whether I was just imitating others.... Would you have any insight on that?
I had the same thoughts 3 years ago. When I was prayed over, I didn't receive the gift of tongues and I didn't understand why. But I continued to pursue it through prayer. I even had 3 dreams where I was speaking in a spiritual tongue, and I believed it came from God because that's what God said in Joel 2:28 - 32. Then one day while I was praying at night, I began to mumble out a form of utterance that I had no intention of doing. I kept on uttering it until I realize I was speaking in the Spirit. But, I questioned it because prior to that event, I had already watched TLR's videos, and I've heard other tongues. I soon came to realize that none of that mattered because no one knows but God! It may "sound" the same as another but what matters is that God knows what we are praying. Aside from that, the more you pray in that spiritual tongue, the more seasonal you'll become in that spiritual tongue. Trust in the Lord and the Holy Spirit.

Greetings Brother in Jesus mighty Name Torben God has shown us so many new things in the harvest feild wail preaching amen ... when we are out there preaching brother we face so much Persecution from lost people and people patting us on the back of course for preaching the gospel and truth anywhere we go but sometimes God has showed me to tell my brothers in Jesus Christ when people come up to us saying you aren’t winning souls I have said if I change our gospel to sinners prayer yes we can get many many numbers to see people confess with the mouth drunk or not drunk 🥴 the people that watch us preach hate that saying ... God has showed me out there that we are there for the one that’s lost from the 99 other sheep 🐑 and Luke warm Christains sinning drinking ....the others yelling rebellious people that hate us probably are Reprobate minds are already and Anti Christ spirit driven
