    Thank you for this video. I’m six weeks PO, and I’m craving to get on the floor, but for the life of me couldn’t figure out how I would get back,up! I’m just staring kneeling via,my our kneeling video! The first couple ways are easy, and a great way to start. I love how you give us tips on how to get there in stages! Thanks again

    I so needed this information as I fell 4 weeks after my replacement onto the garage floor and had to call the EMT’s to get me up as I didn’t want to damage the replacement. I have wondered after this incident to even how to accomplish getting off the floor! I will definitely practice your tips!

    Thank you for several how to’s. I asked my PT to show me how to do this before I was discharged. They were a bit surprised that I asked. I asked if it was part of their curriculum for TKR and they said no. How surprising is that!

    Excellent video..The key point that you conveyed was that it is essntial to have upperbody strenght/ Arm strenght to get yourself up and down from the floor.

    Could you do a video on a knee replacement with a patella that is baha ( low patella. This month ( December) will be 6 years and I’d like to be able to bend it as much as my non surgical knee. I had 3 knee surgeries before I was old enough to have a replacement. Thankyou

    This really helped me decide to try the floor. Arm strength is good since I have done arm strength workouts with 2-3 pound weights for several years as well as yoga, At 76 I can forward fold to a downward dog to a plank, going down on left side ( had RTK June 17th). My back feels so much better doing workouts on the floor. Even managed a few bridges. Your videos have been so helpful. Have a few more weeks going to PT and then will continue with you. Thanks

    I’ve had both total knee replacements, was told not to put / the knees down on floor. I’ve been afraid the replacement s might break. Is this so? I’m over 1 1/2 yes on one & almost 7 months on the second one.

    Hello, I am Shadi from Lebanon. Can you help me? My mother had a knee replacement surgery a month and twenty days ago. She is 77 years old. She still will not be able to extend her leg and bend it 90 degrees. The size of the tumor is very small, but her muscles are weak. She has no strength. As I said, she is busy cleaning the house and gets tired. I worked on a device. cpm How long does it take for her to open and fold her legs?

      It might be good for her to do my Post Surgery Course. That will help her with the exercises. Www.Succeedcourses.Com/post-surgery-course

    Greetings,
    I have 3 months since my acl reconstruction, and I just returned to the office. I noticed my knee gets stiff sitting down for hrs, and I have to walk it off. Is there anything you can advise? This gets painful.

      Not sure if this is workable for you, but I found that taking a folding step stool and resting my heel on it helped a lot. I can go between bent knee and straight knee, and do some hamstring stretches occasionally also.

    My surgeon keeps saying, no kneeling, would there be a some of us shouldn’t after surgery or can we all try it?

    • @dr.samanthasmith
      @dr.samanthasmith  11 месяцев назад

      Most the time everyone can do it. But check with the surgeon. You need to be able to kneel for even a few seconds. If a fall were to happen or you need to pick some up from under the bed. Kneeling is imperative

      I had mine Nov 16 - heel slides frequently has been my key to being able to bend my knees. This motion becomes the lotion for doing more as you heal.

    If I were nearby I would volunteer for my suggestion. I am a woman of substantial size. It would be very useful for me to see someone with problems with body size getting in the way of doing the suggestions. My legs look more like tree trunks than saplings. As I mentioned, I have no shame and I'd be willing to be the model.
