Hey middle aged man here ! Generators always have a “ low oil level “ cut off in the crankcase . It can be floating switch or a pressure switch and can be faulty so if you can see the wiring diagram . So check the oil level of course . Unplug it , can be a single wire coming from the side of the case or pan , and try to start it . If it works I’m a size large ! Lol 😮peace on earth and ocean
Yeah we tried everything. The genny would run but not produce power, the tech support had us try everything they could think of, even to re excite the magnets. At least the boat has a huge alternator!

Captain,,,I’ve solved the generator riddle if I may,,,,humans have this obsession with fossil fuels, sip ,,,,on the other hand with constant consumption of scotch whiskey and pasta ,,,we will stop noticing our inability to,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sip ,,,sip,,,,,,care. 🙃

And,,,,,if it’s a cranking issue,,, tap the solenoid on the top of the starter gently with a small hammer and cross fingers , the solenoid sticks and will be dirty inside . There is a magnet and contact for the power to the starting motor and bendix cheers .
Haha I've done that tons on an old chev pick up I had. At the time I was to broke to buy a new starter so that was the key haha. Cheers ⛵️ 🍻
Long time follower from Canada (not the 51st state for now…). What is the official name of this rally? I would like to google and learn more about it and participants. Sometimes I follow different RUclipsrs and map their travels in my head. I get a kick out of watching someone come into an anchorage and see other boats I know. It’s my kind of “time-line” chess game I guess…. Is the South Pacific in your future? Always enjoy my dark roast coffee on the weekend with you.
The rally we were apart of is called the ARC Europe. The ARC has many rallies that they host around the world. Yes we hope to set sail for the Pacific one day, it's definitely on the list! Enjoy your dark roast ☕

If we add flavor to our water we use zero Gatorade or crystal light packets. You can order them off Amazon.
