Reminds of this, when i was born my dad bought an extra buffalow so that my mother and i could have extra milk in diet. 2-3 liters of milk a day along with plenty yogurt is considered very normal diet here and on top of that my mother still thinks i don't eat much and have lost weight.😅

I can totally agree with this as a Punjabi. I’m 6’2” and heavily built. I’ve been doing weight lifting since I was 16 years, and I mostly consume a lot of dairy products. I generally take 1-2 litres of milk everyday, along with eggs and chicken. I’m very much lactose tolerant.

im a 6'3 punajbi who grew up playing track and basketball, i drink lots of milk with protien powder and eat paneer almost daily. I was skinny gorwing up but soon as i just started to eat more the strength and muscle mass just came in effortlessly.

There's a concept of "Dayadi"(ದಾಯಾದಿ) in south. I don't know the exact hindi word for it.(To give an instance, kuaravas and pandavas were dayadi) It is actually nothing but extended cousins of the family. Upto 7 generations they all are considered as same family. After 7 generations they become little distant family for next 7 generations. Then for another 7 generations also considered into far extended family. Only after 21 generations they are out of the family tree of someone. This is followed in my region even today. Especially whenever there's a death or birth or some family celebration like marraige, house warming, etc. we never miss to inform them and include them as family members itself.
@@anitapadhi325 No gotra is wider term. It tells you your roots to be precise. Even after 21 generations they will be of same gotra. But they're not same family anymore. And people are discouraged from marrying within same gotra anyway. They belonged to same family at one point.
I am from Mithila (Bihar) and we have the exact same custom. We call it "Diyadi" (दियादी) in Maithili. Diyads are people who belong to the same clan as you, Diyads have a common ancestor atleast 7 generations ago, although it could go beyond that as well.

Not just punjabis, Haryanvis as well. I am a haryanvi and although I am only 5’10 I am genetically a great athlete. My profession now is IT and still at 35 when I look at most of my colleagues their physical condition is deteriorating. While I have been in pretty much the same physical condition as I was in my 20s. I can still run fast and have better stamina than them. This is attributed to not just good genes but also good eating habits and not indulging in bad habits like smoking. I believe people of any race can be healthy and lead great long lives if they just stay away from modern medicine for small ailments and stick to ayurveda. Jai hind. Jai Haryana. FYI I was a fast bowler and can still bowl fast.😂

India is so huge that even in homogeneous groups like Saraswat Brahmins, Khatris, Jats, Rajputs etc there’s a lot of diversity & huge sample size that’s not going to affect on genetic disorders.
The reason Punjabis are big and strong is historically we fought invaders, sikhs need to have a warrior prowess (in the old times, much like nihangs), then the fetish of eating heavy foods with ghee (this is common among every Punjabi despite religion or caste). Traditionally being weak is looked down upon like being illiterate is looked down upon in the south.
Milk and milk based products like Ghee, Cream, Curd, etc. are a great boon to health of mankind. Provided you get these from our indigenous cows which are treated holistically. It's really sad to see we're equating products from Amul, Patanjali, Gowardhan, etc. with purity and see them as a standard of how these products should be, but in reality they're just mass-market low quality product manufacturers which aren't abiding to principles through which things should be made. Their products may look glittery but are not worth your money. But yes, prices of A2 Milk, Ghee, etc. are somewhat difficult to afford for everyone but if you can, do include them in your diet. I have seen a lot of lactose intolerant individuals easily switch over to A2 Milk and its products without discomfort.

As a Punjabi, i didn't even know k lactose intolerant was a thing. 😂😂. Reminds of this, when i was born my dad bought an extra buffalow so that my mother and i could have extra milk in diet. 2-3 liters of milk a day along with plenty yogurt is considered very normal diet here and on top of that my mother still thinks i don't eat much and have lost weight.😅

I can totally agree with this as a Punjabi. I’m 6’2” and heavily built. I’ve been doing weight lifting since I was 16 years, and I mostly consume a lot of dairy products. I generally take 1-2 litres of milk everyday, along with eggs and chicken. I’m very much lactose tolerant.

पंजाब में खान पीन पर लोक ज्यादा ध्यान नहीं दे रहे ......जंक फूड, छोले भटुरे खा खा के मोटापा, शुगर, दिल के मरीजो की संख्या ज्यादा बढ रही है। पानी भी दूषित हो रहा है, जो कैंसर को बढा रहा है। पीन्नी, चुरमा, देसी घी, छोले, बादाम, गुड, चन्ना, लोक कम खा रहे हैं। खेतो में काम कम कर रहे हैं। आजकल चावल खाते है पंजाबी ज्यादा। और रोटी भी कनक की ना कि मिक्स आटे की। सो डाईट और मेहनत अगर करे पंजाबी तो सिरमौर हो जाएगे दोबारा क्योंकि हाईट, रंग और तीखे नैन नक्श तो कुदरत ने नस्ली तौर पर बढीआ दिए हैं पंजाबीयो को, गोरा चिट्टा, साँवला रंग, भुरी, बिल्ली आँखे आम है पंजाबीयो में। बाकि गोत्र तो पंजाब की हर बिरादरी छोडती है पर इंटरकासट और इंटररीलीजन मैरीज भी बहोत कर रहे पंजाबी तभी काफी विवधता आ रही जो नस्ली तौर पर घातक है ......पंजाबी अगर आपणी नस्ल को आरक्षित करले और नस्ल को तराश ले तो लाजवाब हो जाएगा काम 👍💪

There's a concept of "Dayadi"(ದಾಯಾದಿ) in south. I don't know the exact hindi word for it.(To give an instance, kuaravas and pandavas were dayadi) It is actually nothing but extended cousins of the family. Upto 7 generations they all are considered as same family.
After 7 generations they become little distant family for next 7 generations.
Then for another 7 generations also considered into far extended family.
Only after 21 generations they are out of the family tree of someone. This is followed in my region even today. Especially whenever there's a death or birth or some family celebration like marraige, house warming, etc. we never miss to inform them and include them as family members itself.

Not just punjabis, Haryanvis as well. I am a haryanvi and although I am only 5’10 I am genetically a great athlete. My profession now is IT and still at 35 when I look at most of my colleagues their physical condition is deteriorating. While I have been in pretty much the same physical condition as I was in my 20s. I can still run fast and have better stamina than them. This is attributed to not just good genes but also good eating habits and not indulging in bad habits like smoking. I believe people of any race can be healthy and lead great long lives if they just stay away from modern medicine for small ailments and stick to ayurveda. Jai hind. Jai Haryana. FYI I was a fast bowler and can still bowl fast.😂

in my caste, Rajput we don't do marriage in same Gotra it is strictly prohibited. means it is good because there are chances that we won't do this with our any close cousin
I am a punjabi sikh rajput(parmar). I've seen people prefer marriage in the same caste but never heard about preferring different gotra.

Rajputs used to have their own mansions, horse fields and servants, like small sovereign kingdoms. It was Baba Banda Singh Bahadur who gave the ownership of land to the jatts of Punjab and guess what, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was a sikh rajput.

Punjabis is a broader term. The people hes talking about are Jatts in Punjab and jaats in haryana. They are the same with different religions. Other Punjabis are just as big or tall as other north Indians.
Not just jatts, all punjabi castes and other north West Indian groups are taller compared to central and East india . North West Indians are also very strong physically

Punjabis r genetically very diverse. We had tall as well as short population. Yeah muscle mass chest width r even more than same size Indian hinterland.
My father is 6'3 but jet black sikh. He looked like bodybuilder Turbaned negro. My Mother is 5'4" look European looking Sikh. My Mamus were max 6 ft and had redish brown/golder brown hairs with very fair skin that is not common in punjab. They look like slim athletic Turbaned russians.
Even in same caste there is lot of varietues of ppl. Same caste ppl have different skin colors, size, height. But many Gotras have distinct characteristics. Like my maternal Grewal gotra have fair skins. While my paternal Toor gotra ( Tomars who adopted sikhism and settled in Punjab) r very heavy and tall. My all paternal cousins r above 6 ft except me. Even my all cousin sisters r above 5'8. We also have bigger jaw line, big round faces.
So there is lot of diversity as well as unique characteristics in punjabi DNA

Jats of haryana, western up & punjab doesn’t intermarries in their gotras since the mahabharta period instead they exempt the father, mother, grand mother gotra nowadays but earlier they used to exempt 5 gotras for marriage & thats how they are stronger then fellow indians as one can see in sports & other activities.

The reason Punjabis are big and strong is historically we fought invaders, sikhs need to have a warrior prowess (in the old times, much like nihangs), then the fetish of eating heavy foods with ghee (this is common among every Punjabi despite religion or caste). Traditionally being weak is looked down upon like being illiterate is looked down upon in the south.

Milk and milk based products like Ghee, Cream, Curd, etc. are a great boon to health of mankind. Provided you get these from our indigenous cows which are treated holistically. It's really sad to see we're equating products from Amul, Patanjali, Gowardhan, etc. with purity and see them as a standard of how these products should be, but in reality they're just mass-market low quality product manufacturers which aren't abiding to principles through which things should be made. Their products may look glittery but are not worth your money. But yes, prices of A2 Milk, Ghee, etc. are somewhat difficult to afford for everyone but if you can, do include them in your diet. I have seen a lot of lactose intolerant individuals easily switch over to A2 Milk and its products without discomfort.
