After Airsoft and other dry fire, there’s really only two things left to focus on with live fire: 1.recoil control 2.marksmanship/accuracy. Airsoft and dry fire can handle weapon manipulation and everything else. Go train folks!
Isn't recoil control and marksmanship the two basic things when it's comes to shooting? Soooo... shooting airsoft helps with everything exept the basics of a real firearm??? Am I missing something here?
Iv always thought the toughest parts of shooting is managing recoil and putting bullets where you want them to go... if airsoft training doesn't help with that then... what crossover is there?
@@runnerrun8461 Manipulation and mechanics. Movement in shooting. Target transitions. Draws. Reloads. Target identification. Weapon switch. Etc. @@ervinshoots9426 True, the most I could get out of airsoft is roughly 60 feet and then you can't aim straight at the target, it's way different, because you need to aim off target due to wind, which is not good for training... @@sierrawhisky2626 gbbr means "gas blow back rifle" meaning it works off the same system as most airsoft pistols, meaning they also have recoil, so gbbr's have more recoil
Yeah, this is a very important skill that can translate from real fire arms to airsoft. Trigger reset will make your shots more stable and consistent, while also increasing your ability to quickly make follow up shots. GBBR’s, gas blow back pistols, and even many aeg’s have trigger reset, and it should be utilized at all times. Even if you don’t plan on shooting real fire arms, you could still practice and use this skill to improve your performance on the airsoft field.
Lol I was just outside running dry fire drills earlier today. Fun to see you guys suggesting this for training. If you haven't already be sure to check out Trex Arms video with Liku_Tactical as well, for an even deeper explanation and representation of what airsoft can do in your real steel shooting. While the little 80s theme thingy was awesome, hearing what he had to say on everything would have been great, thus why I plug Trex Arms, cuz they dont cut out the necessary stuff.
Of course, the recoil of an airsoft pistol will be less than 9mm, but this is not the main thing. The main thing is that subconsciously you are developing in yourself the initial control skill. You are READY to the gun blow in the hand, even if the blow is incomparable to real steel. Based on this, you will hold it correctly, which will allow you to quickly cope with the recoil of a real weapon afterwards. In addition, it should be noted that the recoil of modern gas pistols and rifles is at the level of small calibers such as .22 Long Rifle, Long and Short.
I really do agree that competitive shooting really does drive the individual to perform better. I wish there were more pistol / 3 gun / what ever shooting competitions over here on the east coast
Airsoft and competition have the potential to induce stress inoculation. Normally its difficult to get our adrenaline pumping without putting ourselves in an actual stressful situation. These training aids allow us to see how our skills would apply when under stress and force us to see our deficiencies so that we can work on them. To me, airsoft is incredible because it pits you against a moving thinking target that shoots back. It puts it all together in a safe way and at a much cheaper price.
I train with airsoft for muscle memory and muscle strength. Airsoft transitions into real guns perfectly in good ways but it isnt a full transition. Real guns take recoil practice but other than that your good

Co2 or Gas Blowback Airsoft guns have allot of kick them. Depending on quality. My 1911 Co2 blowback airsoft pistol really kicks and it's fairly loud. Not as loud as a real 1911. But the kick back its self is fairly close. It's a all metal airsoft pistol. Weighs the same functions the same kickback is almost the same. It's just chambered for airsoft. My CM16 dosent have any kickback as it's a AEG. But I plan to replace that rifle with one that dose have blowback.
