    When choosing plate carriers [PC], the shoulder straps distance apart is crucial for neck and trap muscle comfort. Chafing and abrasion on the sides of the neck will happen if the shoulder straps are close together rubbing against your neck during movement.

    Like ya'lls rigs, points for the SAO patch. I currently have two PCs and a few harness/belt rigs that I'm always playing with to try something new or adjust when a pouch is in the way. I haven't run my USAF issue Interceptor rig (ACU) on a field yet, but my reliable Voodoo Tactical vest (MC) has been a good investment. best way to get used to a new set up is to do dry runs of practice reloading. start slow then gradually work up your speed (prevents you from skipping steps which can increase the time it takes to reload). As what my SL at my unit said,"slow is smooth, smooth is fast".

    I catch a lot of flak and get a lot of questions about my vest setup for sniping since it looks like a failed game of pin the tail on the donkey, but I can actually explain it and why it works for me. I have a basic pouch and mag holders on the back with only a front hanging pouch and two pistol mag holders on the front. Weird, I know. But just hear me out. The setup allows for really good mobility and comfort while prone. The lack of front attachments means there isn’t much being pressed into you while prone and having the mags on the back allows for easy access while prone.

    Do you think its a good idea for a medium sized guy to wear a large size plate carrier for playing airsoft or paintball games in order to have a relatively bigger protection area on the body? I think most of the medium sized plate carriers are designed too small so that these cannot cover up the majority part of your frontal and back body area.

    Im new to airsoft and right now i have a plate carrier but with nothing on it so far. Will just some mag pouches work for now or will i need more gear?

      Mag pouches are Great! Lots of people spend more money on extra molle pouches like a admin pouch and utility pouch. But to start off just a few mag pouches is great!

    I went with foam plates because I wasn’t sure how long the plastic would hold up and if it’d crack and eventually break. They’re Idogear brand and I got them for $19 a pair on Amazon. They’re pretty comfortable and good quality EVA foam.

    I have a 5.11 tactec multicam that was given to me for weight training. I don't want to spend a lot of money for a plate carrier, but I don't want to ruin this good tactec that I use for working out? should I just do it?

    • @historicbirds8253
      @historicbirds8253 3 года назад

      if you are wearing your 5.11 in your plate carrier you should have no problem with it getting ruined because your plate carrier provides a cushion. also is your plate a hard plate or a soft plate? doesn't matter much but a hard plate is nice and rigid.

    • @historicbirds8253
      @historicbirds8253 3 года назад

      I personally use some plywood cut out to the right size for rigidity and sandwiched in between cardboard for cushion.

    Anyone know a really great rig without being crazy expensive. I got the armatus 2 and it was small on the chest so I refunded. I was looking at the shellback tactical rampage 2.0 with adding condor pack and mag pouches in the front along with that little pack below the rig. Any ideas? I'm new to airsoft just wanna get all the crap I need without the rig looking small on me.
