- *(apologies for shaky/drifting/out of focus camera work as I was trying to covertly take this video... I also had no idea my video would turn off at 10 minutes. Ugh!)
February 14, 2014 ~ Michael Feinstein introduces Julian Ovenden. Apologies that this got cut off at the 10 minute mark!
Ovenden performs Irving Berlin's "They Say It's Wonderful" and "I Got Lost In His Arms"
Tedd Firth, Piano
I got lost in your arms. How wonderful that a young man would sing that song. Thank you Julian.
I don't understand why he's not more widely known and appreciated.
I just discovered his wonderful voice this year. So much missed time
What a great capture. I love Julian Ovenden's direct approach to singing, not fussy but clearly articulated. I love he gets a shot at a Broadway musical.
Gotta love those high notes! Goose bumps.
Julian is to appear in South Pacific at the Chichester Festival Theatre in 2021. It has been postponed from this year because of the lockdown! I hope to get tickets.
Where is Adorable Julian now? July 2021?? Just saw him briefly in Foyles War reruns on PBS😍
Julian IS wonderful 👏👏
Still don't get how he's never done a musical on Broadway. There are so many roles out there, original and revival, that this man must do. SO TALENTED.
That's entirely up to him.
Roguelle
Beautiful voice, beautiful man!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, M. Rose!!!!! I was there not far from you, yelling my voice out in Bravos for this lovely man!!!
This is great. Thanks for capturing it. Great great singing.
i bought his first debut album * if you stay* great music i love him so much he is very talented , beautiful voice , i hope he will make another music.
Beautiful voice!
I saw Julian in the wonderful Death Takes A Holiday, also featuring Rebecca Luker. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to sing on the soundtrack recording.
Love this story. Than you again for filming this.
Talented gentleman in every way and very busy as well.
This is just stunning. Thank you so much for posting.
He is just wonderful loves him in foley's Eat and Also in downtown Abbey
I love Julian - his voice is thrilling!
I am counting the days - 14 days- to see him live in Opera House in Australia.
Lucky you!! I wish he’d come to San Francisco!
Phyl Butter hi
ju
How was Julian’s show in Australia? Do tell! Do you know where he is now? July 2018??
It was wonderful. I wish the show never ended and I also wished that there ware no supporting cast but that was just not possible I know. I have to go back to watching his RUclips performances to fix my addiction until I can get to England one day to see him live again as I don't think he visits Australia that often.
Thanks Julian the very best
I just saw Julian Ovendon and Sierra Bogguss at Carnegie Hall yesterday...a rehearsal for their eventual 8pm show with the NY POPS/steven reineke conducting. . They were wonderful...and extremely patient (i.m.o.) at the NY POPS and Reineke had a very long rehearsal...@3.5 hours of what I hope was an eventually PERFECT show...nearly all of the "corrections" that were noted.re-done were between orchestra and conductor...wondering if the written arrangements were a bit more challenging than originally expected....the 2 terrific singers, Ovendon and Bogguss. covered most (but not all) of the material in the BBC Fall proms on more than one occasion. since 2011. This clip appears to show Ovendon performing on the main Carnegie Hall stage, Stern Auditorium....Feinstein had been doing 3 shows a year on the main stage, but this years is mostly performing at Zankel Hall, a smaller, more intimate venue.
Just love his voice!
Miss Julian on Downton Abbey reruns! More Julian!!
What a voice, check out his performance "Sondheim at 80" , his Being Alive performance is the best.
Julian and Michael wow
Ohh. Julian surely can sing!
Where is he now? 2018??
He has such a beautiful voice. Can we clone him, mama?
Damn great!
Unfortunstely He was not well appreciate in the serial Dowton Abby....He had very little exposure...He deserved much more...and Mary Lost a good opportunity to be "happy".
Mary didn't deserve him!
A Great Talent!!!!
Class performer.
The Modern Sinatra.... The Voice, The Charm ...The Carisma.....
Te amo Julian!
Both are Sagittarians! Easy to love, at least from a distance.
He needs a jazz band with a good sax player (Coltrane like) to accompany him on the song, " Wonderful."
