Your videos encouraged me to get my first fly rod last weekend. I took a 4 hr course then fished the next 3 days in the driftless. Previously I was just doing spin cast fishing, which is still fun.
Mike, Another great video! I envy your youth. Climbing down that ravine at 59 would have been shaky or me! Well Done! I am glad you carry a Knife for predator protection. Keep em coming!
Just getting back to Missouri after a 5 week motorcycle/trout hunting/camping trip. Spent 7 days in that area and I am ready to go back!! Great video!!
Killer video as always! I throughly enjoy the commentary as much as the video. Makes me feel like I'm there and fills the void when I can't be in the pines, chasing beautiful trout.
Thanks for posting your adventures, Mike. You inspired me to take up fly fishing, I live in the driftless region and it has changed my life for the better, so thanks!
I can’t help but say it again… There’s something so “Flip Pallotesque” about these videos. You are not only adventurous, you’re well spoken. Thank you for sharing again.
Mike great video. And even more helpful hints on my next trips. My Gila trip was awesome. 22 trout total. My trip on vacation is heading to Pagosa springs CO. First time up that way and yes it will be on my RUclips channel and I will have a aerial view as well. Keep safe I’m bring 3Wt 5Wt and a 8wt if I need it.
Thanks Mike for sharing your adventures. Great action on an elusive tail water after a lengthy walk. Fun as always. Hopefully there wasn’t too much rain yesterday in the Iowa Driftless to get back there this week.
⛽️🚘💵💵🎥🎞🎙🎶🕶🥾🐜🎣✌🏻👊🏻🧗🏻 Cause of you! I’m just back from Big Arsenic. The hike, the rocks yep your right. There’s no way I could do what you do to bring us this quality of film coverage, it’s totally work in itself. Oh yes I almost was skunked.. I must learn that water for better results.
Mike I've found that when walking in or out of your fishing area to hold the rod tip to the back of your path you stand less risk of snagging anything or breaking your rod.
We do it for those that wanna be there every step of the way but unfortunately can’t! All we can do is capture those moments as us fishermen/women thrive on! Keep on keeping on brother ✊🏽
Amazing adventure! Thanks for sharing with us, videos like this one helps me to wait for the beginning of the season in november. Idaho is beautiful. All the best from Argentina.
Love your videos! Great content and materials for all levels. I’d love to know what you use to shoot with? Apologize in advance if you’ve done a video on that!
Great video as always Mike, I live in this great state. I hammer bass, in the canyon here in central Id. Going to fish the south fork this coming week 15 to 18 Sept. That would be freaken awesome to bump into you on the river for me anyway. I'm 62, only been fly fishing sense May. Although I have been a fisherman all my life, tried getting into fly fishing a few times before, but you know I had young kids a business. Second time someone else decided they needed my fishing gear more than me and bam it was gone. But going for it a third time, Love-in every minute of it! Thanks, your videos keep me pumped up.
Love to hear it Carl! There is never a wrong time to pick up a rod and get after it! Good luck on the South fork! That river is full of some massive trout!
Awesome catches!! To many rod's?!!! Not at all!!! I just bought three new fly rod's, one for Ocean fishing!!! I did gave my very first fly rod and reel, to my nephew! It breaks my heart, but he wants to learn fly fishing 🎣 Fish On!!!!
Depends on the day and depends on the filming! I recently upgraded to the 9 and it has a much larger battery with much longer recording time. But I lean more on my big cam than the gopro as a rule
@@FLYALLSZN Any part of the river between the towns St. Maries and Avery is excellent. Also, marble creek feeds into the saint joe and is loaded with cutthroats.
I don't need to. I can get anything and more online minus the BS. There are some good shops out there but I have been hit with the buzz saw of bad fly shops that shake you around and make sure you pay to play. Easier to just avoid all that and get what I need elsewhere.
@@FLYALLSZN makes sense, I’ve definitely been yanked around before as well. Fly fishing gate keeping is the worst! Thankfully, my good shop experiences have mostly outweighed the bad. Cheers!

That is awesome to hear Rob! So glad you picked up a fly rod!
What part of the driftless area? Look up Peter Cozad if you are looking for tight lines on the WI side.
Another great episode. Idaho is still on my bucket list.
Idaho really is the best!
Assuming you're writing the narration, I want to congratulate you on the prose. Great job. Wonderful writing. Super energy. Keep going Brother!
Thank you so much! I am writing most of this out.

Brian! That sounds incredible!
That's a solid outing!
For minimal expectations.. It really turned out

I will have to give Mr Pallot a look! Thank you so much! You can thank my dad for the adventurous side and my mom for the well spoken side I suppose!
@@FLYALLSZN you won’t be disappointed.

Great video.
Henry’s fork in Idaho is a favorite of mine. Some fellow Missouri boys guide there. Keep the adventures coming.
Love watching.
Jeff!! Never made it to the HF this season.. BUT I know it has some amazing fishing!

Argentina? Holy cow! That is an absolute bucket list trip! So glad you enjoy! I need to make it down there one day!
@@FLYALLSZN you should during winter in the northern hemisphere. Great camping and a lot of excellent rivers.
Great evening session. Nice to have good trout waters close by. Just received your hoodie. Nice garment. Note was a nice touch. Keep the vid coming.
Can’t wait for meat hang and the bull trout
They’re going to be absolutely epic!
Tight lines, thx for the inspiration to make film just love it 😍

I dont like getting caught up with new rods usually! But if they serve a real function then its all fair game!
How many gopro batteries do you go through in a day? My 8 goes through them like crazy..
Depends on the day and depends on the filming! I recently upgraded to the 9 and it has a much larger battery with much longer recording time. But I lean more on my big cam than the gopro as a rule
Yooo I found a deadhead deer near those same rocks you climbed down in the beginning
No kidding? That would be a really cool find!
Mike
What type of boots do you wear? They appear to be hiking/hunting boots, or are they actual wading boots w/gators? Thanks. Love your vids!
nice video. where's your hat you always wear
Just decided not to wear one tonight!
Idaho 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
