I've just started designing 3d house plans in autocad again as it's always been my passion. I did framing when I was younger though and there is nothing quite like building something from the ground up.
To square off you can also measure and mark 6 feet on one side the 8 feet on the other then when measuring across it should measure 10 feet and that tells you your square 😉
If you frame the walls laying down on the platform you can square it up and sheath it flat then get a helper to raise the wall, nail it and brace it then repeat
Looks like you are definitely a tradesman. Maybe you can’t call yourself a carpenter. But you’d make a good one. You know how to setup for produce ....
I've never been able to build a building closer than a quarter inch off. You'd be surprised how much that throws things and how much more cutting that causes.

He's overbuilding not overengineering.. overengineered would be bare minimum. I could talk all kinds of shit bout what is being built but it's going to do the job and noone will second guess that.
You could also add some mobile home anchors under the shop & bolt the strapping to the floor joists or run the strapping up the outer walls & attach them to your top plate.
I actually have a roll of metal strapping I will be using for the base... I'm just being lazy until about a week before the next hurricane. J/K I wanted to get a roof on as fast as possible because I can always go back to finish the anchors.
@@YanasaTV I used to do mobile home repairs down here in Florida & installed a lot of anchors also. Your big box stores I've found don't always carry everything that's needed to properly anchor a structure. If you can find someone that deals mainly in mobile home repair supplies in your area you will be ahead of the game. Just about any mobil home dealership should know where to pick things up for the DIY'er, sence they usually have their own crews doing installations. You can pick up some good tips from the installers also. Good luck.
Your making everything over kill but when you added the osb on the exterior you shoulve started at the bottom of the beam to tie in everything together
I want to make mine a two-story. What should I do to make this happen with the one level already existing? How to I beef up the foundation? Also, can I make the bottom level taller?. Like a few feet....
Did you inset your walls so that your OSB would be flush with the floor width? Looked like there was a lip you could set the OSB sheets on while nailed it.
