Everybody's talking about the killer tone of this bass, but have you noticed the genius of the bass line itself? The notes are low during the verses, then get higher step by step during the chorus, literally coming up... like a flower :)

ATG vocal performance by anyone in my opinion. If all he'd ever done was this one performance in his whole life, I'd still have him top 10 pop/rock musicians ever. As it stands, he's top 2 or 3 easily. The effortlessness of these perfect roars just dumbfound me still after 20 years.

I saw Wings on this tour in a small cinema in Lewisham London. Up close you could tell this talent came easy to McCartney, He effortlessly switched from bass to piano and guitar for 20 flight rock. The ensemble played Band On The Run as an encore, and Paul sang Yesterday solo as the very last song.

He was probably thinking what an amazing time to be alive
He has his three daughters and son a this point and he’s had so much success with the Beatles and Wings and a little by himself
This before he got arrested and at this point he’s probably thinking how great it is that even though they aren’t close that he’s once again friends with the other three Beatles
However this feeling all ended in December of the following year which is so sad
The only think that can be said is that he at least had some pretty good solo albums and quite a few great songs after this

the 20th century uses a pick to play bass...so do not listen to those
who frown upon bassists who use a pick...it is perfectly fine to use a
pick on a bass guitar...add to the list the great Roger Waters!
