I don't know what my DM is thinking at all. He has major problems expressing his emotions and is stuck in old paradigms. But a true DF will ligh up that beacon very brightly to guide her DM home. Yes, the DM ditched out on me before we really had a chance to take off, then went to somebody else and stayed longer with them and are now wanting to reach out.
