Because the picnic blanket acts like the safe place of headspace, because it is.

But if anybody who hasn't finished the game see's it, they're not gonna know what it means unless they go searching for it by either googling the answer, asking someone, or ofc finishing the game, and by that point it's their fault if they get spoiled because they searched for it themselves. All I meantioned was falling down the stairs, and never mentioned anything about how that ties to the game, how that's involed in the storyline, or which character's are involved. So yes, it can be considered a spoiler to those who know what it means, but almost no new player or someone who's not gotten to that specific spot would understand the joke anyways. The game has also been out for almost two years now, an with the rapidly increasing popularity the game has recieved in those past two years it's almost impossible to click on an Omori related video and not recieve some type of spoiler either it be something to do with the game 10-20 minutes in or if it has to do with one of multipul endings.
