Pay no heed to those naysayers Lindsay. They can tie what they like and I'm sure that they do. They need to remember that we are all different and have tastes. As for myself, I watch, learn, and choose what I want to do. You are an amazing teacher and I am proud to be your student. I am seventy- one years young and have only been involved in fly fishing and tying for a bit over two years. Even started building fly rods. Thank you for your fine instructions. Keep them coming, my friend.
Louis, that's very kind of you to say. I take all comments into account good and bad, constructive criticism helps you improve. Folks will always have different opinions on how a certain fly should be tied. Thats the beauty of the art there is always more than one way to skin a cat.
Nice one Lindsay!! Been waiting on this impatiently, got bored and got all experimental and tied a suspended stuck midge emerger(catchy name eh!). Keep them coming mate!!
Hello Lindsay, how are you? I have always been a great lover of the March Brown as a wet fly and in latter years as a dry fly. Its just one of those patterns that will catch fish wherever you use it. Good stuff Lindsay. Atb Jim
A too long abdomen is a non sense. Sorry for my advice. This procedure is widely spread on the Net nowadays... I think a respectful proportion is first step in fly tying..

Superb looking fly Lindsay. Very well explained and nicely tied. Many thanks.
Welcome Danny.
I was taught to use three cdc feathers too!
Great March brown pattern
Thanks Richard.
Very nice presentation and I am sure a few Kiwi fish would be happy to take such a morsel. Thanks from down-under.
Thanks for watching John.
Top tying once more Lindsay! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Paul.

Cheers Chris, Glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent lesson thank you sir
As ever Jimmy you are most welcome.
Good vid mate. Only found out last night Howard Crosston, won the world championships in Tasmania. Really well done.
Hi James, I think Howard winning gold was only a matter of time, that boy is driven!
@@lindsayiflyfish he was unlucky last year in Italy last year but still got bronze. All good for British angling, tight lines mate
I have looooked every where in calgary ab.canada for a ___brown, marker with no luck , the last place I haven't looked is Michels.
Have you tried an Art supplies shop, I am sure they would have one. 🤞
On my to-do list for certain 👌🏻
Worth having Peter, i'm sure.
Where on earth did you find that amazing CDC?
Troutline pal the quality is second to none! www.troutline.ro/fly-tying.html

I have a load of variations for March Brown it is a very versatile fly.
Must have missed this one
Its a good one ;-)
Excellent. Nothing worse than a CDC dry fly sinking. I had that problem when I first tried CDC. :_(
Terry, I don't mess about I want two things from a CDC fly 1. It floats and 2. You can see it. Simples :-)
@@lindsayiflyfish Exactly. :-)
I'm on a roll I'm going to try to tie this one too 🇺🇸
One of my favourites pal 💪
Life is good I would love to meet you someday buddy you have a great day thank you for everything you do
@@shawnbarry3893 You are very welcome pal, thanks for watching.
Great fly. Man, u just don't see CDC like that in the states
It probably would cost a fortune to get it over from Romania. Natural works just as well.
can you put a list of things you use in the drop down thank you
That’s quite an old video the newer ones have a list in the opening few seconds.
