Great comparisons! I bought the Vantrue and updated the fw for 5-6 sec. impact, but you are correct... it is STILL too long, plus the A139pro just has an edge on quality compared to the N4 for license plates. Thank you for your work!
This is a real treat to watch. I've been looking at a dash cam for awhile and wanted to see some high end contenders against each other. I've always been a Thinkware fan, as I had a previous f1800 Pro 2Ch setup for over 5 years. Was looking at getting the new 4k 2ch U3000 Thinkware, and was very disappointment at the quality compared to others. Almost every single example has so much compression noise that the quality doesn't actually seem like 4k. Overall I still think the U3000 still has the most features and parking options, especially with their new radar system Thinkware has. But, I just don't know if its worth the 220+ price tag over the A139. I wonder if the OBD connection is better, very easy for me to install for sure, as I'm not very good at hard-wiring, and usually have them professionally installed, but can be a big cost too in "labor". I've always loved the fact that I can have my dash cam silently recording while my truck is in the shop and make sure that its actually being worked on, or someone isn't taking a joy ride. But with an OBD cable, that can easily be unplugged, since depending on the dealer or work being done, they need the OBD port to diagnose problems, which might tip them off that a camera was hooked up. Either way, I'm a bit conflicted now as I very much like the quality of the A139 Pro. I am curious though, idk if I missed it or not, but did you install the CPL filter that came with the U3000? I was under the impression it was supposed to clear up a lot of the bad contrast glare at night. Or maby I'm wrong? Just wondering as @ 26:17 you can just see at how not helpful this camera would've been in a situation where you may have needed to see that plate, you can't even make out one single letter compared to others.

First of all, I would like to thank you for the detailed and informative videos. In the end I decided on the Vantrue N4 pro and against the Vaio A139pro, as some reports on the A139pro put me off. (Dashcam doesn't record sporadically or breaks after 1-2 years). Without the CPL filter, the Vaio is superior to the Vantrue. With CPL filter the Vantrue is on par (front camera). The backlight like in the tunnel (25:10) is negated and the license plates can be seen more clearly with the CPL filter. What shocked me a bit is how much more power the Vantrue draws compared to the other dash cams. I'll be hooking up my Vantrue to a battery pack soon. I find the Thinkware to be poor in terms of price without HDR. The radar/good parking mode cannot compensate for this. In the motion detection parking mode test I don't see the Thinkware in front either (perhaps it looks different in the original recordings). To be honest, I think the Vaio and Vantrue are better here. On the one hand, the backlight makes recording more difficult and on the other hand, you can always adjust the videos afterwards (contrast and brightness). The Thinkware is not as sharp and has more motion blur. In any case, I'm happy with the purchase of the Vantrue and I'm looking forward to new videos.
Vantrue is way too big in my opinion. I also do not like the interior camera being built into the unit as it limits mounting options for interior and front camera. The current draw is excessively high. The video quality is good for front camera.
@@SafeDriveSolutions The good thing is that dashcams are getting better and better and everyone can choose a suitable dashcam for their needs. I use the vantrue in a Supra mk5 which has not the biggest windscreen behind / under the mirror and its ok. I dont have a comparison with other dashcams.
Very Interesting! These were all my top picks. Plan on deciding on one of them. Noticed that "The Hook Up" showed that Vantrue N4 Pro had the best license plate for day and night (against the Viofo A139 Pro and a few others). In this video looks like it's the Viofo A139 Pro with the better reading on license plates. The quality in their video also looked a lot higher for the Vantrue N4 Pro than what you're seeing. Wonder why there's the disparity there.
@@SafeDriveSolutions Watched it again, wasn't really able to see, but guessing the way they mounted it up had something to do with it is what you're saying? Regardless, both seem great. I like that the Viofo actually can record impacts on parking as well. Seems universally agreed upon that the Vantrue takes way too long to record on impact. The 70mai A810 seems like a great budget option though with only a 2 second delay. Too bad it can't pre-record like Viofo though or has bad/non-existent motion detection. Really was set up on the U3000 initially, but it's disappointing about the night vision quality. Although can't decide if the amazing parking capabilities is worth the night vision trade off.
Great review, liked and subscribed! One must not forget that 70mai comes with battery instead of capacitor, as far as I read every 1,5 years or so it needs to be replaced.
There is another hardwire kit for the VanTrue than the one you showed. It allows for different voltages and also includes a timer. Thanks for your videos. I enjoy them. I did get the VanTrue as parking modes donet matter much for a garaged vehicle. It was also a decision based on price and I wanted the 3rd channel available if needed.
Interesting thing about the Vantrue - they actually have several hardwire & OBDII kits that are compatible with it. I got the "Vantrue 3-lead Acc Hardwire Kit" (VP01), which has 5 DIP switches for selecting 4 different voltage cutoffs and 6 timer settings. I will also note that the power draw tests would be quite a bit more digestible if they were all shown on screen at once so we can easily compare between the various cameras and modes.
It seems that Viofo A139 Pro is winning by quite a huge margin @ $289, comparing to U3000 @$379, N4 Pro @ $295 and A810 @only $149. A810 is so much cheaper probably for the worst hardware but the front camera isn't half bad.
If you could shop VIOFO from china, like I did, it’s a steal. $300 for front and rear + hardwire kit + 128gb SD card. Thinkware is so overpriced with such bad image quality.
Thanks for the video. I bought 70mai 810 and I can confirm it support 30fps 4K front camera. Also the cam support AI Motion Detection and the video was recorded to the memory card without any issue. Wondering whether you were using the older firmware. I am current using 1.158ww.
@@japrtorresjaprtorres Compare to $350CAD Vantrue or $400CAD Viofo, $200CAD 70mai is best bang for the buck dashcam. For me, the major tradeoff is lack of 5Ghz Wifi and non starvis sensor rear camera. The front camera recording quality is really good. The rear is ok at daytime but really bad at night. However, my rear window is tinted, and I think a good rear camera still might not works well. Wifi feel slow but I can either remove the microsd card or remove the camera completely by simply unplug 2 cables and slide it out. So I think it still usable.
It is not 30 fps and i also found out after my video that even rear camera is 25FPS. So both front and rear are 25 fps. The AI motion detection never worked for me and it is to most current firmware.
UPDATE :: So I guess 70 Mai did a firmware update where they are inserting frames in but they are not genuine 30 frames per second. Itis still a 25FPS dash camera.
I'm very glad to see you mention the new parking mode cable having three wires: 1) ground 2) ACC ignition 3) power Why the need for all 3 when for years we only had ground & power cable? For sake of simplicity can we put the yellow ACC wire on power instead of having to splice into our ignition?
Thanks for such a detailed comparison. In ur previous video, license plate detection of Viofo A139 was better than thinkware U3000. But in this video, looks like thinkware is better and license plate detection by A229 is actually looks quite bad for me. I was planning to get the Viofo A229 Pro until I saw ur video. Now I’m confused and back to square one lol
Viofo needing to use computer to update is a deal killer for me. I might try the Viofo mini 2. I think that can update on wifi. If I end up wanting a rear camera I might just get a second mini 2.
@@SafeDriveSolutions Having looked at the online manual info it looks like you are correct. I guess I will just have to find out if I can buy a Viofo already updated to the latest version. I think the latest update fixed a Auto HDR timing issue. That’s important to me.
Just got a 70MAI A810, it'll be my first dashcam ever. Went for the 2ch version. It seems the rear cam of the a810 has very poor video quality, but oh well, better than not having one I guess.
CPL filter does not come in the box. We also test all dash cams without CPL filter. 10s pre recording you are asking about buffered recording. Yes all 3 have it, i did not test the 70mai for it as the motion detection would not work. Remote controller is an add on. Voice commands were not mentioned because i was not even saying the commands and weird stuff would happen occasionally like it would take a picture for no reason. Thanks for pointing it out. We are always trying to refine our testing process
Awesome video!. Thanks for all your hard work. When watching the N4 power consumption during the motion/impact detection I saw that the monitor was on. What about when it’s off, as I think for most people would set the screen on time for 30 sec.
Hi! Can you also make a review of viofo 139pro a and Vantrue N5? Give also a highlight about the parking mode and how many seconds it starts to record after collision happened while parked. Thank you!
Great review. But the lack of a lcd is deciding factor for me. I think the lack of a lcd on the u3000 is just not acceptable. Also there is a huge price difference between the four. The 70mai is 1/3 the price of the U3000 where i am at
very good video however you didn't show the rear videos of the thinkware? and also talk about the type of rear camera support at thinkware I had a problem I own a pickup with a vertical rear window and if you install the rear camera you have to adjust the angle the problem is that the radar cell found itself at the bottom so I had to make a removable support and thinkware does not offer it otherwise your rear radar does not work
The rear thinkware camera was left in my broke down vehicle. When I looked at video footage i had it was of the wrong angle. Basically had it pointing straight down 🥲. Totally my fault. The radar sensor I believe you are correct. I really want to confirm for myself. The vehicle dying on me really messed things up for me. Thank you for bringing it up. I will be talking directly with Thinkware in November at SEMA regarding this exact challenge as Korea will be there. My contact here is on an extended vacation.
Hi, the viofo was that the 2 channel version or the 3 channel version? I have seen that you can adjust bitrate. 1CH/2CH/3CH 60Mpbs/44/26. Comparing this to the N4PRO, which is 3CH, isn't fully fair then IF you want a 3CH. Is it possible to turn off the inwards pointed camera of the N4PRO and perhaps see an increase in quality?
Great work Ben been following your posts on DashcamTalk and now here, very detailed and good to see these detailed comparisons and conclusions. But also honest feedback and the ending segment on this video is good to know in a world of sponsored dishonest paid-off reviews 😊
Viofo does not have an impact only setting. However if there is an impact in auto event detection, time lapse, or low bitrate recording it saves in locked files.
Working on a review. There is some awesome stuff with it and some stuff that is challenging with it as well. I was holding off waiting for a firmware update but too many people are asking.
I have an a229 pro and im replacing it with the 70 mai just for the 4g kit, also the 4g hardwire kit has about 4 voltage settings in the app, also iv seen videos that the rear camera is now much better, i know the a229 pro is technically better but i just want the 4g , being able to live view at any time from the app.
@SafeDriveSolutions Iv installed it all, and the 4g live view is a joke. never connects. and when it does, it's limited to only 5 mins per day. then says, "Come back tomorrow . not good at all. they say it's to save my data. I'd rather they let me choose .
How do you record cops? When you get pulled over, you have to turn off your car. How do you record what happens with no power going to the cam? Thanks for any answers!
Running all these tests in your vehicle with all these cams, do you find that all the manufactures hardwire kits have the same pin outs on the usb-c end? Like is that a universal wiring scheme? Or do some manufactures have a proprietary pin out?
Funny that you ask that. I was doing some testing and found that Vantrue hardwire cable would put the 70 mai dash cam in and out of parking mode with no challenges. However the Viofo hardwire cable would not put either of those dash cams into parking mode. I was reading on one pf the forums that there is a different pinouts for USB-c. I have used a Viofo HK-4 hardwire cable mon Red Tiger with no challenges and it would work for parking mode as well.
Do we think it’s a possibility that the u3000 just needs a software update to address the issues? I mean, it’s a Starvis 2 camera - what else could it be?
When you were doing the testing of walking up to the back of the vehicle when it was dark out too bad there wasn’t a motion detection light that turns on/off automatically when you were there from inside the car to show your face as you were really dark hard to see it
New video comes out March 30. Viofo A229 Pro vs Blackvue DR 970X plus vs Thinkware U3000 vs Vueroid D21 4K. We also do have some video of the Vantrue N4 pro in it. Here is a video with both of them in it. ruclips.net/video/FJbYkSTG9Bs/видео.html I personally would choose Viofo A229 Pro over Vantrue N4 Pro
They all have something that I want. Really difficult to hand pick one for my use. What would you suggest? Parking security is my first priority. Being able to know what happen is important to me. I also want to be able to capture license plate clearly in case of accident.
Doesn't at least the 70mai A810 save and protect the current file when it detects a bump? Meaning that even if it detects the bump two seconds after it happened, you still have the few minutes of footage from before and during the event?
Thats not how it works. If you are using impact only while parked it will only get 2 seconds after impact. If you want before impact you need to use motion detection or time lapse.
Great video, really informative and a professional review and an in detail spec of each. Does anyone know if any of these have a waterproof rear camera? As mine needs to be installed on the rear of my van. Thanks In advance!
Very thorough & helpful review. I agree regarding "best". Since each person's use case scenario varies, what's best to you won't necessarily be what's best for someone else. Also, I probably would've given up if my car broke down & the only way to complete the video was to reinstall all 4 cameras!
I believe there are settings for the sensitivity on that but I am not sure yet. Mine is arriving tomorrow. I am basing my information off of other reviews. I don't know if that will have something to do with the response time
Hey my RUclips colleague, very very good Video and much Information with very fair Comment from you. Iam searching for a Cam wich have 4G /LTE Module. What about the Thinkware Dashcam T700 ? or i think i have to wait for a Thinkware Dashcam with integrated 4G/LET Module. How much electicity (mA) need the Telekom Hotspot UBD Module ? The 710 may have it with the U04 Kit but the electicity with acitvated Motion detection wirh 450 mA the whole Time, is to high and the Battery was fast low. Greetings from Germany. Olli
quick question on my truck my cigarette connector stays on even when truck is off so i dont need the hardwire kit for my truck right ? for parking mode ? my dashcam stays on it diesnt shut off after i turn off my truck . would that kill my battery ?
I enjoyed the video - thanks for posting it! By the way, just wondering if you have hard-wired in a dash cam to your Soul EV. Any tips, tricks, or complications you can pass on?
Is there Any chance that we’re going to see a review of the new VIOFO A229 Pro anytime soon? Also, are there any other premium STARVIS 2 dashcams that are rumored to make their debut this year? Thanks in advance!
Can you suggest any dashcam with a good integrated battery? I don't like visible cables and making connections to the car's electrical part voids the warranty
No dash cameras i know have an integrated battery. Go Pros are a very bad solution and will overheat. Wiring to your vehicle electrical will not void your warranty. We do this everyday…
I can't believe someone hasn't made a descrete camera yet. You could make a camera the size of 4 stacked half dollars that would be top notch and then run a tiny data ribbon cable to the brains which could easily go to the bottom half of your dash console or your glove compartment. Instead they make these big bulky all in one things.
A810 It heats up a lot … Does Vantrue n4 pro also heat up or is there no battery? And I also need a registrar who shoots both the salon and when it's dark to work ….. What do you recommend if a810 costs 170 euros and n4 pro 280 euros?
Thanks for the review. Looking forward for your insights with the viofo a119 mini using starvis 2 😄 I'm thinking of getting 70mai, do you think it has good vakue compared with the others if I'm not hardiwiring it and usinf any parking mode functions?
I love your videos but personally I would like to know what would be the camera you would pick for yourself since you are the guy who knows a thing or two 😂. I need a reliable camera that would record when someone tries to key my car and also records any drive event while I’m driving, and above all a good costumer service. Thanks my friend
The Thinkware U3000 in my opinion is best for motion detection as it has the radar parking mode. Which will last longer than other parking mode options available on the market. I use the Viofo A229 pro and the Vueroid D21 4K in my car currently. The vueroid has a very low current impact detection while parked. also has some interesting parking mode features I have not really seen before. But i also have everything hooked up to a battery pack so it can record for long periods of time without an impact to my car battery
It has collision detection but it takes 13 seconds to wake up and start recording. If you use quick wake up it takes 6 seconds to start recording. It is not buffered in anyway.
@@SafeDriveSolutions this may be a mute issue for me because I don't plan on hardwiring it. But it is definitely something to think about for the future
@@willg6997 so if i understand the question a little more clearly now. If there is an impact in motion detection, low bitrate or time lapse modes it does lock the video and it will have buffering. However we like to call Vantrue battery killers. Because they have no timers to limit parking mode, there lack of other voltage cutoffs when used while parked as well.
@@SafeDriveSolutions so that, in theory, means the impact will be recorded, correct? I just have to go in the app and pull up the locked clip? Thank you for your replies and information, it is most helpful 👊🏽
@@willg6997 I can not speak for their current firmware but when I did test it for everyday driving a year ago. It did lock videos of impacts while driving.
i personally purchased the thinkware u3000, all the other cameras in this video are made byy chinese manufactures. i dont want the chinese government having access to my dash cam through software backdoors thank you very much
@@SafeDriveSolutions see? i didnt know that, and now that i know that, it makes me even more hesitant to purchase dash cams from chinese manufacturers. my previous dash cam was a blackview and both blackview and thinkware are south korean manufacturers and i ttrust them. i iinstalled the blackview iin my giirlfriends car when i upgraded to the thinkware u3000 and she is very happy with it. im waiting for blackview to come out with something that has higgher resolution or even something that has the starvis 2 chip and hopefully hdr capability
Don't know why dash cam makers are not making dash cam's with in-built batteries for parking mode or simpler way to connect a battery like a power bank for phones, only need a usb cable, instead of hot wiring it.
Because they fail a lot more. I have removed lots of Nextbase dash cameras. Due to the battery inside the unit failing. Super capacitor is more reliable
Reviewers should really READ about the Dash Cams they are reviewing. The Vantrue N4 Pro - comes WITH 3 cameras. (Front, Cabin, & Rear). However - it will only record in 4k - if you throw away the other two 'included' cameras and are only using the FRONT camera. If you set it up as most people; plugging in all 3 included cameras - the lettering '4k' is just that. False lettering. The 70 Mai A810 will not record 4K in 60FPS at all. Only 25FPS or slower. Difficult to see that in the bad owners manual - but is answered in the FAQ. ***** My bad. I misread the owners manual. And thought it stated it would only record in 4K if only the front camera was used. Contacted VanTrue and asked about the discrepancy in their advertising and manual etc. They pointed out my error. 2160P is 1/2 or part of the 4K equation. Per VanTrue - it does indeed record in 4K with all cameras used - unless you set it - to not do so...
I never got anything wrong in specs. N4Pro is a 4K front camera. 70 Mai does not do 60 fps nor does it say that anywhere in the video. Did you watch someone elses video?
@@SafeDriveSolutions I have watched other videos. I also READ the spec's. N4Pro does NOT record in 4K - if recording ANYTHING other than just the front. And since they include 2 other cameras - that is extremely misleading. Page 36 & 37 of the Vantrue N4 Pro owners manual - shows that.
@@daves7775 The N4 Pro front camera uses a STARVIS 2 IMX678 image sensor. I honestly do not sell Vantrue at all. But the specs are all legit for front camera. If you use a MAC and hit (COMMAND + I) it will give you technical specs of video file. Front 3840 x 2160, MPEG-4 AAC, HEVC, 725 MB. Also page 36 and 37 in my manual is in Spanish and has nothing to do with tech specs in my N4Pro manual. When I look at Vantrue N4 Manual which is non pro Page 30 it shows it is not a 4K camera. That camera is not a 4K Camera. Feel free to send a link to this manual you are referring to. The 70 Mai A810 has done some deceptive stuff by adding in dropped frames and doing an update since my review where if you do the (COMMAND + I) it now shows 30FPS at 4K which it is not. it only does 25FPS. Also we are a business that supplies and installs dash cameras everyday. We test all brands we sell and carry. We started testing competitors products to the products we support. Trust me if I could have told people Vantrue N4 Pro was not 4K I would have loved to. Send me the evidence. For instance this video below. Where we educated people on Red Tiger and Rove. ruclips.net/video/5EcITSNBQ6A/видео.html
@@SafeDriveSolutions My apologies. I contacted VanTrue to ask them about the resolution - since their website states 4K etc. They pointed out that the resolutions stated with the Cabin and Rear Camera used - are abbreviated. And 2160P is 1/2 of the equation for 4K (3840 x 2160); and the front camera does record in 4K in all situations - unless set to not do so.
We focus on education. Everybody has a different lifestyle so we dont want to force anything onto anyone that could be the wrong solution. Either way March 30 our new Ultimate 4K dash cam comparison 2024 video is out
Yeah you can. Vantrue and 70 Mai sold 100’s of cameras off this video. We dont sell either one. But i have installed tons of them for customers because of this video
We sell dash cams based on lifestyle. Which means we want to find what challenge the customer has and solve it with best solution. Thats why we typically do not do a ranking

The A139 looked to be the clear overall winner to me. Great plate legibility, good night visibility and fast adaptation coming out of the tunnel.
Yes they now have lots of parking mode cables available.
Awesome, Awesome vid. This is the most detailed and informative vid I have seen in a long time.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Best dash cam vid seen ever!
Greetings, good demonstration of each dash cam for solid information. The video quality is outstanding. Subscribed and liked the video. Godspeed ❤
Thanks
Thanks for the video. I bought 70mai 810 and I can confirm it support 30fps 4K front camera. Also the cam support AI Motion Detection and the video was recorded to the memory card without any issue. Wondering whether you were using the older firmware. I am current using 1.158ww.
How is your experience so far? For daylight and night recordings. Also, was it really slow to get videos via wifi?
@@SafeDriveSolutionsThe 70mai Cam records in 30fps if you have no rear camera connected. I will user it like that. Best bang for the bucks.

Great work Ben.
This was an awesome video.

You must have heard my comment approx 34 minute mark🤣🤣
I'm very glad to see you mention the new parking mode cable having three wires:
1) ground
2) ACC ignition
3) power
Why the need for all 3 when for years we only had ground & power cable?
For sake of simplicity can we put the yellow ACC wire on power instead of having to splice into our ignition?
No you can not do that. That would probably end with a dead battery.
@@SafeDriveSolutions thank you for the info
Thanks for such a detailed comparison. In ur previous video, license plate detection of Viofo A139 was better than thinkware U3000. But in this video, looks like thinkware is better and license plate detection by A229 is actually looks quite bad for me. I was planning to get the Viofo A229 Pro until I saw ur video. Viofo needing to use computer to update is a deal killer for me. I might try the Viofo mini 2. I think that can update on wifi. If I end up wanting a rear camera I might just get a second mini 2.
No Viofo will update via Wi-Fi. Not that I know of
@@SafeDriveSolutions Having looked at the online manual info it looks like you are correct. I guess I will just have to find out if I can buy a Viofo already updated to the latest version. I think the latest update fixed a Auto HDR timing issue. That’s important to me.

Yes rear cam is not that good.
Appreciate your editing effort buddy
I appreciate that!
you did not mention about Vantrue N4 Pro:
- CPL filter lens
- 10s pre-recording in parking mode
- remote controller
- voice command
Yeah good question. I think someone else tested that. I will try and verify difference
Great job! That's a lot of work that went into this review video.
Oh yeah. Should I take a week off? 😀
Hi! Can you also make a review of viofo 139pro a and Vantrue N5? Give also a highlight about the parking mode and how many seconds it starts to record after collision happened while parked. Thank you!
We do not have a Vantrue N5 to test. Maybe in future
Great review. But the lack of a lcd is deciding factor for me. I think the lack of a lcd on the u3000 is just not acceptable. Also there is a huge price difference between the four. The 70mai is 1/3 the price of the U3000 where i am at
Got a new video we are working on with more lcd units
very good video however you didn't show the rear videos of the thinkware? and also talk about the type of rear camera support at thinkware I had a problem I own a pickup with a vertical rear window and if you install the rear camera you have to adjust the angle the problem is that the radar cell found itself at the bottom so I had to make a removable support and thinkware does not offer it otherwise your rear radar does not work
The rear thinkware camera was left in my broke down vehicle.

The N4 Pro had interior camera turned off during recording. You can choose that in settings. Viofo was running in 2 channel version.
Wow, great info, thank you!
Do any of these cams take video of the sides of the car for side swiping or door breaking entry?
Interior cameras kind of help with that with their wide field of view. But not exterior mounted
@@SafeDriveSolutions Any suggestions??? I was looking at the Nexus N5 and the black cue

Yeah thank you for your comments
did I miss something? No impact section for the Viofo A139 Pro??
Viofo does not have an impact only setting. However if there is an impact in auto event detection, time lapse, or low bitrate recording it saves in locked files.

I'm looking at the DDPAI Z50 GPS Dual 4K Front and Rear Dash Cam. Have you seen it?

What do you think about the Viofo 229 Pro compared to these dash cameras?
Working on a review. There is some awesome stuff with it and some stuff that is challenging with it as well. I was holding off waiting for a firmware update but too many people are asking.
Great video! Thanks
Do you have a battery pack? Are you in a hot environment?
@SafeDriveSolutions No just a normal agm battery. no im in Manchester England
Okay not sure what current draw is on unit.
From my understanding you do not need to turn your vehicle off. Just put vehicle in park. Dash cam will record while ignition is on
Running all these tests in your vehicle with all these cams, do you find that all the manufactures hardwire kits have the same pin outs on the usb-c end?
I guess we will see in time
I know this is late - but for others reading this: the CPU in the U3000 is simply not capable of doing HDR. It's not coming.
10:20 Dude you got some dribblin' skillz :)
I'm loving the channel I do have a question about the u3000 as I do rideshare can the thinkware u3000 have a interior camera added
Not that I know of. Not sure if Thinkware would do that in the future. They have not on prior 2K or 4 K models.
When you were doing the testing of walking up to the back of the vehicle when it was dark out too bad there wasn’t a motion detection light that turns on/off automatically when you were there from inside the car to show your face as you were really dark hard to see it
yes but the point was to show how effective they were in the dark. But you figure it would be nice if a light turned on to brighten it up.
I am analyzing the vantrue N4pro but I am also looking at the viofo A229pro4k, which one do you recommend if it could help me?

Sandisk max endurance vs VIOFOs sd card. Which do you recommend? Does write speed come into play?
I prefer viofo sd cards personally as they are industrial grade. However i have not done a head to head on these 2.
They all have something that I want. Really difficult to hand pick one for my use. What would you suggest? Parking security is my first priority. Being able to know what happen is important to me. I also want to be able to capture license plate clearly in case of accident.

Why didn't you test the A139 in the windshield test?
It does not have an impact only setting. It has motion and impact

That 13 second response is a deal breaker .
Yeah. It does have a 6 second response as well but at higher current draw. Thinkware is great. Low current draw and quick response.
I believe there are settings for the sensitivity on that but I am not sure yet. Mine is arriving tomorrow. I am basing my information off of other reviews. I don't know if that will have something to do with the response time

So we dont make our videos that way. We like to provide the information and allow our viewers to make the decision.
Viofo a139 pro plus the Hardwire kit. Go buy it now.
These are not that big at all. Some companies have box units where the brains are hidden. Small camera on windshield
The n4 pro only drinks .7 amps. Dang that's interesting.
No wonder these wires on the hardware kit are so tiny
Yes low for everyday use. High current for parking mode

Does the Vantrue N4 Pro not have the collision saved if it's hard wired? It says there's a buffer.

*****
My bad.
Kind of wish you'd mentioned how hecking large the vantrue is. It's big enough it's a problem finding a place to mount it.
