@AlexGTech Exactly my point. An example is the news that now Samsung will be upgrading the ultra wide lens to 50 mega pixels, but now retaining the 3x 10 mega pixel telephoto. I hope it does not go any further, because the battery and fast charge will remain the same. 😒😒😒
Well, the rumours about the S25U indicate that the iPhone upgrades might not make that particularly impressive. Essentially, it’ll feature a 48MP ultrawide camera, the same battery, brightness, and extra RAM as needed, and an SD8G4. However, it’s worth noting that most of these features are already available on other phones. It’s understandable why Samsung might not face criticism for doing the same, considering the current four-to-five-year upgrade cycle. Reasonable individuals will likely consider a four-year-old phone and compare it to newer models rather than yearly upgrades. Nevertheless, tech RUclipsrs and Twitter users seem to thrive on negativity.

I think the biggest reason why Android phones have a lower resale value is that no one (in their right mind) buys Android phones for full price. Aggressive sales and trade-in value cause the resale of these values to be lower because theres no reason to buy at MSRP- even brand new phones. Whereas Apple hasnt once had a discount and their trade-in values are pretty poor
I really wanted to upgrade from my 13 Pro Max very badly. I had said a year and a half in advance that I would upgrade for the 16PM. I usually upgrade every two years actually. They couldn’t even innovate the storage to 2TB. Not a single feature of this year’s phone is worth receiving the phone unless it was absolutely free.
Yo, I'm stoked for the folks who are gonna splurge on the new 15S series, but let's be real, it's not much of an upgrade. It's basically the same phones with an extra button.
Is no one gonna talk about how horrible the colour choices are for the 16 pro I have to wait another year Bcz I don’t wanna have the latest iPhone which has a dull and boring colour
Massively appreciate the fact you have actually said what many of us were thinking; this event was a disappointment and in some ways, insulting to existing Apple users. It felt like they assume we will buy it anyway and have been lazy of late. I hope you get an invite to Apple next year and beyond; it will mean more when (hopefully) in a future event it feels like Apple are making more of an effort again.
Smoke, mirrors, gimmicks, glamor and glitz... But beneath the pretty surface, there's nothing too substantial going on. Years back, Apple WAS an innovator. Now they've lost their way. They are just trying to ride the wave of the good old days.
I fail to comprehend some of the complaints. Apple never explicitly stated that the Watch Ultra 2 is an upgrade. By simply calling it “2,” they essentially gave it away. The device has a slow sales volume, and Apple feels they cannot upgrade it annually or simply have nothing new to offer at the moment. Therefore, it was essentially a way to announce a new colour to attract potential buyers. I am perplexed as to why people are “ranting”… it’s weirdly strange! The same applies to AirPods Max (edited as writ Pro by mistake) Apple likely had no intention of upgrading this product in 2024 since it sells in low volumes, and the upgrade cycle is lengthy. However, they had to make the change due to EU Law requiring the use of USB-C. If they hadn’t updated, they would have faced bans and fines! They seized the opportunity to introduce a new colour. Why are people missing the obvious?
The AirPods Pro are the best selling earbuds. Not slow selling. Just admit, they just did not innovate this year. It’s ok. They are still playing catch-up with Android at this point.
Apple's perennial failure to innovate is why my iPhone Pro Max phones will ALWAYS be my SECONDARY phone. I'm using my 4 year old iPhone 11 Pro Max 256 GB ROM. 87% battery health and it's still working great.
Thanks Alex. So accurate. It really was boring and I am keeping my iPhone 15 Pro Max until next year - also more than happy with my Apple Watch Ultra 2. Might pick up a new watch band
Been so bored with iPhone for years. Love the a fold. I’m all in with the Apple ecosystem and the tight integration between iPhone / iMac. So I guess I am still stuck in nothing new iPhone world for now. I had hoped for a iPhone foldable with something unknown / innovative/ amazing.
I think the iPhone is incredible and does feel premium. To me though, I get more out of my Android devices, simply because there's more flexibility. It's not for everyone, and I did quite a few videos on Android vs iOS. As much as I'd like to say the world of Android is wonderful, there are compromises when you move from iOS. In my case, it was 100% worth it, but I'd say everyone is different. You can check these two videos here as a good start: ruclips.net/video/Pl_EDLb9XRc/видео.htmlsi=1JyqVXnPkE2B_ZpC ruclips.net/video/1kpfWumZf9k/видео.htmlsi=0c0Gx758VWtknfqp
I'm disillusioned with Apple-anything and I don't see why consumers are expected to reward Cupertino's complacency/ zero effort to push the envelope forward. This event only helped solidify this. I used to have absolute confidence that buying the Apple version of whatever gave me a great balance of value, quality, utility, and wow factor. It saved a lot of time by not having to think about everything else on the market. I also didn't mind paying the "Apple tax" if it meant that fascinating upgrades (both OS and hardware) would follow. But the consecutive hold-ups in features, product releases, and lacklustre upgrades of entire years has put me at odds with their perpetual "just you wait, NEXT year it will be the one to get!" schtick. Coasting on legacy revisions and squandering zillions on pie in the sky nonsense like cars and goggles instead of revolutionizing their core product lines. Screw this, I'm taking my money elsewhere. Other than my Mac and iPad, every other piece of Apple I have owned has found its way into eBay with no plan for a replacement.
You’re incredibly inspiring! I’m really excited to start my own channel, and I love how honest yet effective you are when presenting facts. I did notice you might be missing some content when discussing the Apple Watch 10, though-perhaps something to consider for future videos? Keep up the great work, and continue inspiring us all!
Thank you so much! Yes, I had to rush things with this video which I hate doing, so a couple of clips got messed up. Well, at least now you know there's a human behind the edit 😅 Have a good one
I was quite disappointed this year. The iPhone 16 models seem like a great upgrade for many, but they still lack 120Hz on the non-Pro models. I typically go for the Pro versions, and my iPhone 13 Pro is starting to hit its limits with battery life. I find myself charging it both in the afternoon and before bed. That's why I'm considering upgrading to the 16 Pro Max, especially with the noticeable camera improvements from the 13 Pro to the 16 Pro. However, I was hoping for more: faster wired charging (40W), a smaller Dynamic Island, 10x zoom, a 4K display, higher brightness, or even front camera upgrades. The biggest letdowns for me are the wired charging speed and display brightness, but it is what it is. A redesign would also have been nice.
Typically I would agree, but I'd struggle to recommend an upgrade even for someone with a 3 year old phone like the 13 Pro Max. And for people with older iPhones, I'd still struggle, because cost-benefit isn't there. I'd still recommend the 13 over the 16.
@@AlexGTech I concur. I upgraded from the 13 PM to the 15 Pro to downsize in terms of size. I really appreciate my Iphone 15 pro and I probably use 10% of the processor capacity. I think the 16 Pro is a very small step which goes for all other manufactures. For me, I love the phone I have now and it will take, hopefully, a long time before I buy a new one. Cheers
It did seem as if this year the Pro's are really Pro. Not just an expensive iPhone with a 3rd lens but actually doing serious Pro stuff that the regular iPhone can't. I could be wrong but it seemed liked it.
It is strange that the same people complain about the lack of professional features and then claim that when Apple adds them, the popular will dismiss them as niche and only a small number of users will utilize them. Apple should consider paying RUclips for sponsored ads, as creators are currently quite negative and should make room for new creators who are not jaded by the mature smartphone market dominated by candy bar brands.
I have iPhone 15 pro max and I am not gonna get the Twin 16 pro max, if I do I will pay extra just for the slider which I don't use. For camera work.i use Sony Fx 30
no one bats an eyelid at the Galaxy S phones being the same every year but if Apple does it it gets loads of attention. Baffles me how these reviewers expect advanced leaps in design and features in 12 month periods when the technology has stagnated and won't change that much. People upgrade every 3 or 4 years so the jump is actually pretty decent. Normal people don't upgrade every year! Even if the technology was advanced, companies have no need to make large changes every year. The yearly 'this is only an incremental upgrade' is getting boring and you can tell 'content creators' are running out of ideas. Have you ever thought why people hold onto their iPhones so long? because they are quality products and last for a long time, unlike literally EVERY android phone. Criticising them for not innovating every year then claiming its ok to keep hold of your current iPhone is a contradiction in itself.
I saw a 10 minute video about the event and I got bored at that as well. It’s really nothing amazing. If the rumors are true, the 16 isn’t the real iPhone Apple wants to reveal. Not even the 15 nor 14. I heard it’s the 17 that will actually be different.
This is the lame announcement of Apple in decade, 16 has got only capture button and little bit extra screen, Airpods Max has only new color and USB-C, Apple Watch Ultra 2 has only new color. Really apple? SMH
In all honesty what would you say it was Android innovation in last 3 to 5 years? Absolutely nothing...phones are getting brighter screens and bigger, better cameras and faster processors. Apple is not the only one doing that...Samsung is been doing it with Galaxy phones for few years now. I do agree that there is no need to upgrade every year anymore but let's say every 3 years is probably a nice upgrade.
I think it's pretty straight forward to some extent. IF you see what they (Apple) offer and you like it and/or it solves a problem for YOU, get it if you want and can. There are plenty of brands that offer products that if I like them enough I will support with purchase, and if I don't, I just pass. Eventually if not widely appealing enough, most products won't survive. Obviously, iPhones are still a thing! lol But I get your opinions and you're entitled to them even if I don't feel the same.
Honestly last few years it feels every thing they release we are beta testers for the product, by the time they are done new product is released and we start all over, worst thing in US no physical SIM card, travels last few years and support for e sim sucks when it comes to pre paid availability
Reminds me of Samsungs "Buy this now and we'll add features later, trust us" tactics. I mean, even if I understood AI things coming later, camera button not having all features out of the box is kinda strange. Let's see if it even holds on to next year, seems interesting but not so useful. Adding all those sound profiles while video recording but still only 5x zoom... I don't know, man. PS I actually feel bad for people who got 15 Pro/Max last year. Many features not even coming to last years Pro (not to speak about non Pro 15) is crazy.
Apple is scamming its customers; has been, for a while, now. As example, the iPad M4? No advanced capabilities of the operating system. Sure, it’s nice hardware, but it doesn’t do anything earlier versions can’t do. Apple’s tech has peaked. 🙄
It was a snooze fest indeed. The only thing that got me excited was the hearing loss and hearing aid function of the airpods pro that’s coming. The worse “update” would be the airpods max. Seems like Apple hired some guys to open boxes of unsold maxes in some warehouse, gave them a dremel tool to shape and grind the lightning cable port to fit a usb c end, passed it on to another guy to sand the colors off the ear pieces and then to another guy to coat them with new colors. 😂
I think at this point you have to accept that you’re maybe not the targets audience for the iPhone anymore, overall if you have a 15 Pro Max then you don’t need to be upgrading in the first place, for me Apple Intelligence is the reason why I’m upgrading, I can wait for it to be released, i think there are more upgrades than you think, i think you’re being overly negative towards Apple but I respect your opinion though. But Samsung aren’t innovating much since the foldables.
As a tech reviewer I have to try and review as many as possible. Personally, if I wasn't doing tech reviews I'd probably still be on my 13PM. I was honestly excited for software updates this time, as the hardware is already awesome. iOS certainly needs something fresh and I hope Apple Intelligence gives the lift it needs. But I can't help but think Apple were caught up with AI and are now reacting to the industry rather than leading it. But as it transpired the other day, they weren't fast enough and Apple Intelligence is nowhere near ready
@@AlexGTech I agree with a lot of what you are saying. I do feel this is more of a reactionary move from Apple regarding AI for sure and the fact that none of the features for Apple Intelligence are nowhere near ready is disappointing to me as it was the reason I am upgrading to the 16 pro Max no I’m not expecting miracles with Apple intelligence straight away, but I do like a lot of the options for customisation for iOS and the fact that we are finally able to move the icons to where we want which I know android has had this for years but it’s nice as an iPhone user to finally have that level of customisation now but I do think iOS as a whole but I do think iOS 18 has breathed life into iOS a bit but I understand where you’re coming from as a tech reviewer but it seems overly negative towards Apple and I understand and respect your opinion as a tech reviewer that you wanna see innovation, I get it but no one is really innovating at the moment and better or worse. Apple is the industry leader when it comes to trends in technology.
They have a lengthy upgrade cycle since they’re a highly specialized product. Apple likely wouldn’t have relaunched if not compelled by the EU to revert to USB-C or face substantial billion-dollar fines. Therefore, I believe many influencers who advocate for USB-C are overlooking the obvious point here, perhaps intentionally so.
I correctly figured that Apple wouldn't update the AirPods Max 2 hardly at all. I am very lucky as I purchased the light blue AirPods Max (1) just before the September 2024 event....$200+ less than the original price, renewed but completely perfect. Couldn't tell the difference between 'renewed' and 'brand new' when I opened the box. Great deal in my opinion.
That's what she said 😅 Sorry! I agree though. But I think given the features on the smaller Pro model, there isn't much of a reason to go for the Pro Max this year
What innovations are people looking for? Most people like phone that works and do simple things and Apple already slowly add all the features. And tell me which other company innovating which is useful?
Agreed, Apple has become so borning and what drove me to move to the S23 Ultra over a year ago after being on iPhone since the 3GS. My next phone will be a foldable, and we all know apple is not jumping on that any time soon. 😴 💤👎🏻
I watched the presentation and it seems to me that the iPhone 16 line is feature rich with features of little utility. It is a great phone but not better in any meaningful way from any other phone on the market. I think the best phone is the S24 Ultra because of its anti-glare screen.
I tried my best to stay positive when doing this video, but it's getting harder and harder every year to find anything positive about these new launches.
@@AlexGTech I look forward to seeing this video. I just swapped my S22 Ultra for the Pixel 9 Pro XL in the week of release. I follow you on both channels, I'm Brazilian too.

Rumors are s25 ultra also gonna be the same as s24 ultra nothing new. Its not just apple. Will see next year January. That old 200mp camera hasnt changed much, and theres a lot or phones with less megapixels on par with samsung’s 200mp.
Final Cut Pro crapped out on me 😅 Usually I catch those, but this time I was rushing. There is another mistake towards the end where the Series 10 clip didnt show, just my face with a black screen 🙈
In my opinion, all apple products from this year's September event have again received quite big updates and new functions, especially iphones, I really hope that they don't change their products completely, because then they are no longer apple products, but something else. And the masses of people are not given any cutting-edge technology every year anyway, only little by little. Last year and this year, iPhones have had big changes and innovations in design and content, and for me this fake ai is not important at all and I don't use it like that, neither Siri nor this fake ai, because the real AI' will never be mastered by the human mass into use, not until a person becomes intelligent, aware and when laziness, meanness, envy, all kinds of choosing sides ends, etc., the same applies to android phones and products and to the people who use them.
my 13pro will do me until 2026. The only point of interest is battery life, But we all know that will only last till ios 18.3, then it will be a low as usual. There is nothing compelling for me this year. Apple Intel just doesn't impress me. I can still write a descent sentence, so writing help I'll leave to co-pilot in MS 365. Camera, the 13pro is fine for my happy snaps and I don't play games (except Candy Crush). 2026 is my predicted year for something big (or maybe an accumulation of 5 years of small changes).
That 13 Pro is probably 'peak' iPhone. In a way the S23 Ultra feels like that on Samsung's line up. I hope brands continue to push them, because without innovation all products will start to look and feel like the same
I really enjoyed the keynote. For the last 5 years I ignored Apple and have been on Android but earlier this year I decided to go back to iPhone, if I can afford it, because iOS 18 is simply better than Android 15, magsafe is a huge value add, and I wanted good cameras after 5 years of shit android cameras. So I watched it and was amazed at how far the 16 has come. The beautiful design and colours (Teal 😍) with premium materials which no android phone except the Ultra can match, massively upgraded cameras, audio scenes, photo and video scenes, improved glass, fastest CPU in any phone except the Pro, dynamic island, Apple Ecosystem, 20W wireless charging, Service & Support - it all adds to be a very, very strong product. I also miss my old Apple Watch because it's really great watch, especially for swimming which is what I used it for alot. That bigger screen and thinner is stunning. Sadly I don't have the money for any of this, but if you do I'd say go for it!!

My Wife wants the new IPHONE but I am going to get an Andriod. Do you recommend S24 or Pixel pro. I am thinking S24
im slightly biased towards OneUI for what I do, but i loved every Pixel I used, mate
Ok so if it wasn’t for one Ui ( like on my case I don’t really care ) and if you did not care about oneUI which one would YOU choose
Thank you Daniel! I still can't believe how they get away with this stuff year after year
Why do all of apples presenters look and sound like cringe AI bots
i thought it was just me
I actually fell a sleep during the event 😂
hahahah Honestly, I believe you!
Smoke, mirrors, gimmicks, glamor and glitz... But beneath the pretty surface, there's nothing too substantial going on. Years back, Apple WAS an innovator. Now they've lost their way. They are just trying to ride the wave of the good old days.
Yes the iPhone update is mid, unless they fixed thermal issues and the battery actually last longer.
I was so excited about the event. Even the watch was nothing to be excited about. So far Samsung has me hooked.
@@sirgigolo sorry I meant AirPod Max and have corrected it. Yes, AirPod Pros sell much better.
Apple's perennial failure to innovate is why my iPhone Pro Max phones will ALWAYS be my SECONDARY phone. I'm using my 4 year old iPhone 11 Pro Max 256 GB ROM. 87% battery health and it's still working great.
Like the video if you think I should get invited to Cupertino in 2025 😅
With your opinions, that ain’t ever happening 😂
Thanks Alex. So accurate. It really was boring and I am keeping my iPhone 15 Pro Max until next year - also more than happy with my Apple Watch Ultra 2.
Might pick up a new watch band
I am on an iPhone 11. I am going to upgrade to an 11 pro. I don’t see anything worth my money beyond that model.
This video could have easily been only 5 minutes!
@@ms.b9093 this comment could have easily been useful. TikTok is available if you want useless short videos
Lol I watched the cnet 9mins version. Definitely not impressed at all and I am an apple fan. Currently using pixel 9pro xl
The launch seemed more like a software update rather than the unveiling of a new phone.💀🤮😭
I'm on the fence between iPhone and Android. Why do you think that Android is/feels more premium opposed to iPhone?
I think the iPhone is incredible and does feel premium. To me though, I get more out of my Android devices, simply because there's more flexibility. It's not for everyone, and I did quite a few videos on Android vs iOS. As much as I'd like to say the world of Android is wonderful, there are compromises when you move from iOS. In my case, it was 100% worth it, but I'd say everyone is different. You can check these two videos here as a good start:

I wish I could have it, but I’ve got iPhone 12 Pro.
Also I heard you can pause videos while recording now in 2024 😂.
LOOL Innovation!
I just pulled out my old Oppo a37f (snapdragon 450 with 2Gb ram) and oh my it records and pauses on android 5.0 lollipop. How far ago was that?
Not everything is about upgrades to last year´s phones but mostly for people with older phones. RUclipsrs get this wrong all the time.
Cheers
I’m sad to admit I’m upgrading my wife’s 13 pro to the 16 pro max and I’ll be putting my 15 pro down for the pixel 9 pro fold.
Hey nothing wrong with that! I loved the 13 Pro and it sounds like you managed to avoid the hype for the 14 and 15, so not too bad!
13 pro was last true iphone though and since then there isnt any actual quality of life noticeable upgrades worthy enough to even consider buying !!!
Spot on Alex. Thanks for your honesty, I fully agree with your points. Apple is becoming a little sour (excuse the pun)!
@1:19 that walled garden analogy totally makes sense. Sorry sheeple 😢
APPLE ☠️
GALAXY 😍
I saw a 10 minute video about the event and I got bored at that as well. It’s really nothing amazing. If the rumors are true, the 16 isn’t the real iPhone Apple wants to reveal. Not even the 15 nor 14. I heard it’s the 17 that will actually be different.
Just like when people in 60’s said that we will have flying cars by 2000’s 💀💀
I can listen to you all day!
🥰 thank you!
This is the lame announcement of Apple in decade, 16 has got only capture button and little bit extra screen, Airpods Max has only new color and USB-C, Apple Watch Ultra 2 has only new color. Really apple? SMH
Thank you! I am glad I am not alone 😅
Most honest review ever..!👏🏻
Apple today is worried more with woke and DEI issues than actual product innovation.
9:45 My eyes! My eyes!!
In all honesty what would you say it was Android innovation in last 3 to 5 years?
Absolutely nothing...phones are getting brighter screens and bigger, better cameras and faster processors.
Apple is not the only one doing that...Samsung is been doing it with Galaxy phones for few years now.
I do agree that there is no need to upgrade every year anymore but let's say every 3 years is probably a nice upgrade.
so disappointing
Getting easier and easier to consider a move to Android. It's not easy to switch, but Apple are pushing customers away like this
....that will outsell every other phone combined lol. Im Samsung Knight and i know that
Reminds me of Samsungs "Buy this now and we'll add features later, trust us" tactics.
I think eventually Apple will buckle and let 15 Pro users have the AI features. But even the 16 is not getting it until god knows when...
@@AlexGTech I honestly doubt. Especially seeing that 16 Pro/Max has some features regular 16 won't have. And that's unfortunate
Wow This is the peak of innovation
Air Pods Max, still no refresh apart from USB-C, still the same price and STILL no off button….Rant over! 😳
crazy! (and pointless)
If you had 14, then 16 is for you. I have 15 so I skip this year.
I don’t know man…seems the same to me. I have the 14PM and I honestly can’t justify it.
.2 of an inch won’t make that much of a difference
That's what she said 😅
Sorry! I agree though. But I think given the features on the smaller Pro model, there isn't much of a reason to go for the Pro Max this year
@@AlexGTech 🤣🤣🤣 if I were upgrading, I’d still go for the Pro Max, easier to see
What innovations are people looking for? Most people like phone that works and do simple things and Apple already slowly add all the features. And tell me which other company innovating which is useful?
Agreed, Apple has become so borning and what drove me to move to the S23 Ultra over a year ago after being on iPhone since the 3GS. My next phone will be a foldable, and we all know apple is not jumping on that any time soon. 😴 💤👎🏻
I actually slept while watching the event (literally ). The most boring event Apple has ever done. Steve Jobs i hope you’re not seeing this 😅
I watched the presentation and it seems to me that the iPhone 16 line is feature rich with features of little utility. It is a great phone but not better in any meaningful way from any other phone on the market. I think the best phone is the S24 Ultra because of its anti-glare screen.
I tried my best to stay positive when doing this video, but it's getting harder and harder every year to find anything positive about these new launches.
When will you make a video on the Pixel 9 Pro XL?
Probably October when the dust settles a bit... I need a big team 😅 so many reviews, so little time!

@@AlexGTech hehehe. You're fine man. To be honest I thought it was a joke I was not getting. LoL
I hope brands continue to push them, because without innovation all products will start to look and feel like the same
I fell asleep twice, trying to watch that crap
Same… that was 1:45 of my life I won’t get back!
Negative energy 😮 why?
To be honest I was delighted with this update. I have been waiting for a long time for a big battery life upgrade. This is wonderful!

Everyone, hurry up and buy Android, so that your iPhone will not squeeze out toothpaste.
LOL yet the sheeple are excited!
indeed...
Typical Samsung fan boy report
Is he wrong though? no.
@@kasperhansen7854 I never saw too much critique with the uninspired S23U to S24U. All the creators seemed to follow the same patter.
