For shooting elephants the gun should be powerful enough to really knock down the beast flat. A small caliber only hurts the quarry without killing it. So a powerful gun is humane not cruel.

Elephants are NOT endangered in many states of central - southern Africa.On the opposite, OVERpopulation has been and remains an issue in that area. We're talking tens of thousands of elephants. And in fact they periodically need to be "culled" (killed by the thousand) so that they do not completely destroy the habitat.
Might be bad for the jumbos but for the hunters it’s a most thrilling lifetime experience to let some elephants bite the dust. I think they will repeat that as often as possible.🏹
Great hunt! Thank you for your conservation efforts! Many people here don't seem to see the benefits of these hunts. Maybe do a video on behind the scenes? Maybe show where the money goes that the hunter pays, the meat of the elephant to the community, the security of the elephant herd from poachers, and how these harvests of elephants are long term sustainable etc. Everyone loves the action of the hunts but I think it's just as important to educate the non hunters.
