Hey Broke! I’m in metro Atlanta area and trying so hard not to transplant my seedlings and slips now. Hardening off tomato plants. To ease the “itch”, I planted a few grapevines and added a raspberry plant to my impressive berry orchard. Ordering covers for my plum trees. Have baby plums for the first time! This is the year of abundance for us all!
I like how you plant. I walk around and let the plant tell me where they want to go. So plant how you feel. With your ginger and turmeric you should get enough to last a year. The turmeric gets a beautiful flower. They do really good in a 17 gal container.
You sound like the same kind of gardener as me. I do what works for me and it may not be what others say can be done, but I don't always know the "don'ts and it works for me!😊
I grow ginger and tumeric. Just don't over water ! I get my ginger and tumeric from the store.I just make sure it's organic. I USUALLY get a big box of ginger from bjs. The turmeric usually comes in smaller quantities. Just save some back to grow the next year.
Hey Broke, I grow Ginger Every Year in a metal washtub. They grow without me tending over them. Plan on expanding the area this year. You will see. No fuss garden plants.

interested in how turmeric and ginger do where you planted it. I noticed the Texas direct extreme heat is no joke for both of those plants. Right now I am starting them indoors and going to transplant them once the soil is at least 55 degrees.
Wow. Them some nice roots Broke. I got my sweet potato in some soil and gonna see what it do.🍠😊 Did you make that fertilizer yourself? Thanks for sharing😁
