Well, another very interesting but sadly unsatisfying account based on the scant info. As mentioned previously in a comment on another video a few years ago with respect to Drop Bears, two blokes who were linguists at the Uni of west Australia, through investigations into the meanings of certain words in Aboriginal languages in WA, translated the drop bear thing to mean or describe, not a koala, but something closer to the description of a Thylacaleo. What could be gray with tiger stripes? sadly we have no idea what colour they were. The AYR, had a woman call in with an encounter on the road up to Barrington Tops in NSW whose car had broken down or over heated and was resting briefly when a huge black cat like animal crossed the track feet in front of her car, on all fours with a long black fluffy tail. So there are strange things out there for sure, but what the hell they are is anyone's guess.
Was just a koango, also called dingala. I've got a few up my tree to make sure no one knocks off my mullies or comes into my yard and sees them. Just can't take chances incase someone tells my dad and he knocks them off. So my dingalas ensure no one becomes a witness while I see nussink.
G'day Daniel ,your comment - "Where's My Yowie Hold up ; l'm an American & that joke went right over my head (?)", showed up in notifications but not in the comments answer to your question - drop bears only eat Australians when they are starving , their preferred diet is tourists and Americans are a delicacy , if you rub Vegemite behind your ears you should be safe
@@wheresmyyowie oh , Hell ! Well , that explains that ! I'll be sure & grab some vegamite along the way (& down a couple 'ah Fosters Lagers as AC/DC blasts from my speakers) if l ever decide to head down to the Land Down Under , lest l become a victim ! Thanks for the warnin' , mate ! 😁🍻😉 P.S. , hope this comment successfully runs the Y.T. gauntlet🤞 (Edit : in all reality , l would probably be doin' the Fosters & Acca Dacca even without the benefit of drop bears .)
@@wheresmyyowie l just mentioned that 'cuz over here , Fosters is commonly recognized as an 🇦🇺 beer . Trust me , it ain't gotta be Fosters by no means , l never was terribly picky (l am Scottish American , after all 😬) . Why , l'd wager that a yowie would down a cold Fosters if given the chance , but if one shows up in 🇦🇺 wielding a Fosters , a drop bear will recognize them in a flat second & devour you as a dumb 🇺🇸 tourist , got it ! All jokes aside , now l'm curious ; please enlighten me as to what Aussies do consider good Australian beer (?) 🍺🦍
