  • @paulroberts117

Gday my names Paul & welcome to where’s my giant trees.. unfortunately most of them are long gone destroyed by the machinations of 🎉settlement before the turn of the century with very very few now left. But not a lot of people know the mountain forests of SE Aust were once home to the largest giant timber forest on the planet outside the Pacific NW of NthUSA.. but the destruction has been so phenomenal that all traces are gone & they won’t be returning.. I have spent decades researching & hunting our lost giant Eucalypts in the most inaccessible valleys using the latest technology & equipment I can afford & literally spent so much time trekking into the most recessed & untouched areas of our mountain ranges in this quest. Good finds are very hard fought & hard to come by with destruction at the hands of bushfire & high winds so common place. These trees are the largest living things on the face of the earth .. but in all my remote hunting I’ve never encountered a yowie or cryptid tho I do fully believe in them all…

Wo, Love all those great shots of the iconic Aussie Pub. And to my joy the pic of the ol' Kauri Hotel in Glebe. Worked there as a barmaid around 35 years ago, still had the Ladies Lounge. One of my other jobs was at the Livingstone Hotel in Petersham, an early opener -8am. The single men living at various abodes between the train station where I got off and the pub would wait to see me walking down the street .....they would amble along behind me knowing it wouldn't be long before I opened up.

Great yarn, Jamie! 😉👍 My ancestors were shepherds on the plains around Stonehenge. They immigrated to Adelaide in 1839, only 3 years after settlement in Adelaide. They were still shepherds on the Thebarton plains in western Adelaide. It was said that they tended the sheep, in company with the local Aborigine tribes. They would have had some stories to tell, I'm sure, mate! 🤔 As the settlement spread west towards the coast, they headed for the hills, literally, becoming woodcutters. They then settled and established the townships of Forest Range, Basket Range, Lenswood and Lobethal. My relatives are still all up through the Adelaide hills. It's great to hear these stories of the old timers. Good on you, Jamie. Blessings and kindest regards David from Melbourne. 🌏 🙄☝️

Indeed Mate. Yeah, read this account before. It's a good description of the Pangkarlangu / Bulloo / Jogung / Yowie / Yahoo etc ancient hairy peoples (some giants, some smaller) of Australia. They were here before the Dreamtime & are an Archaic Human multi-hybrid made up of distinct Human Archetype Breeds - which also make up the modern Human Race - but most modern Humans are balanced by breeding & we only see the occasional Archaic imbalanced ones appearing through genetic dormancy. There are 3 distinct Human Archetype Breeds that in combination / Multi-Hybridisation - create this description to a T. (Incl. their yellow skin colour). These ancient Hairy & non-hairy Giant Folk are described in many countries & cultures. As for the Human Flesh eating - the account I read stated that a sailor got too close on the trip & Big Bloke grabbed him & started eating him. To connect this as well - the Bulloo were fish eaters & lived by the Murray River - but the Jogung were hunters & are told about in Aboriginal lore as hunting them down & chopping them up with stone knives. It's what happens when competition for scarce food & territory occurs. "You hunt my 'Roo, I hunt You." Note: Same thing seems to have happened with the Si-Te-Cah Red Haired Giants of the Lovelock Caves, USA, vs the Paiute Indians / Native Americans. Cheers. - Dave from Australia.
