His POV looked way too distant to me but I guess he likes getting his wing mirrors in. General rule of thumb is to as forward as you dare whilst still seeing some of the track.
@anldinc2811 I don't remember if the top of my head, but I do tend to not use the mathematically correct FoV. I used to, but I like to be able to see things that feel natural to me like when I drive my car. With 3 27" monitors, that means using a higher FoV. If I had 32" monitors, I'd be a little closer to "correct."
@amarazane4519 I have 3 screens, and I also like the ability to see around bends of tight corners instead of memorizing it. It played long enough on this and Sims that I realized that the mathematically correct FoV for a 27" monitor wasn't working for me. That I was faster when I used a view that felt more natural to me like I'd see in my car, even if it meant it was smaller.
