I was this person he spoke about, strayed too soon with no “vision”, and it was all over the place or no idea of the direction. Now we have a business and losing weight, so content creation is much easier. Currently Down -40lbs, 100 more to go! 💪🏾
Next month I’ll be 10yrs on RUclips. To anyone comparing their timeline to others - don’t! You’ll get there eventually… just don’t quit. All the best 🙌🏾
This is a awseome video! I have been on RUclips for 2 1/2 years, and in October I decided It was time to abandon my channel and start a new one. I took what I learned from my old channel and applied it to my new one and it's been off to a good start. I am a movie review and ranking channel that deals with older movies. My end goal is to be a great movie reviewer and get more interaction from viewers! In little over a month I have gotten over 11,000 views and hit almost 200 subscribers which is a decent start for me! Consistency over time is always on my mind!!! Great video!!!
Great advice Sean! I think you hit the nail on the head on being successful in RUclips. Start before you’re ready and be consistent over time. Thank you 🙏 ❤
I wanted to start a RUclips channel for years and I finally launched it a few months ago. I’m up to 40 followers and getting better at making videos and slowly growing. Thanks for the inspiration!
1. START BEFORE YOU ARE READY 2. START WITH THE END IN MIND / REASONS COME FIRST AND RESULTS COME SECOND 3. COMMIT TO THE PROCESS 4. BE CONSISTENT COMMITTED OVER TIME Yes, I agree completely!
This is awesome. I also started way before I was ready. When I first started my channel, I literally barely knew how to even turn on a computer and sign in. I still don’t know much, but every thing new that I do it’s because I just learned. Never stop learning.
I was visualizing that perfect day with you then you crushed my dreams 😅 Those days never exist, just gotta do it. I love when you talk about different cities in Washington. I lived in Shoreline, WA for 8 years and now my husband and I just bought our 1st home near Tacoma. Sending love from the P-N-dub 🌲 Thanks for the encouragement!
Saw on Spotify the new cover without Heather 😭😭😭 She’s going to be doing some amazing things and I’m grateful for everything she’s done with Think Media! 🎉
I started RUclips with a lot of shyness. And I understand this "that you say start before you're ready !Because you don't have to post all that you. All you have to do is record and practice practice practice!
I can't even tell you how helpful this was for me this morning as I woke up feeling less than motivated to create next month's content for my channel. What a great reminder that these dips in motivation and excitement are not only normal but an expected part of the process. Thank you!
Sean, you're trully my digital mentor and my inspirations. I got many values from you and your team. I enjoy the way your speak and your presentation. So concise and clear. Very usefull for us. Thanks Sean, keep up.
Thank you very much Sean. I didn’t expect you to say “That happens… NEVER! I’ve never had the Perfect Day, my back hurts, coffee spills, etc..” I love that you really speak from your heart and your words are so powerful. I usually listen to ThinkMedia before pressing record to get fired up 😎
I just watched your 2023 trends video and then clicked this one and here's my conclusion: you're my go to teacher this yr for starting a video podcast AND YES - I am a conscious creatress 😊🌸 so I feel part of your 10,000 vision 🙌✨ Thank you! 🙏
I can’t wait to see the videos on this!!! For a second I thought RUclips merged think media with this channel because you guys had live streams on the think media channel but I’m glad to see you got it back! 🙌🏽✝️❤️
Thank you Sean! I always get discouraged by all of the viral videos that show a RUclipsr hitting 100,000 subs in a few months cause I have been grinding consistently, adapting, posting, and growing for over 4 years. Still not where I am bringing in consistent income for my family but I'm absolutely committed to learning more and changing how I present my content. I'm grateful that you talk about the fact that those situations are the exception to the rule. All the best!
At 5k subs and averaging now 900 new subs every month and having several companies ask to send us products to review, when should we start doing affiliate marketing? Right now we just take the free product and make videos for the content.
This was not just excellent but honestly this piece of content is a video that everyone should bookmark and come back to every and now then to remind themselves of why they are sticking with this content creation thing. Loved the very relatable and realistic bad days of recording that happen. So many golden nuggets in this video - thank you!
This was the video that I went ... yep, this guy is my new God. He hit the points spot on. Especially the first one about feeling as though you have to be ready. Of course your teeth/hair/clothes etc won't be perfect. Things never will be. Start anyway. Just start. My teeth are pretty messed up though ...
I finally got serious the past two months. Boom 40k views and 811 subs! Learned from all my earlier and slightly less crappy vid. I try to improve one single thing each video.
I’ve been going through a dry spell because the past weeks recently moved cities and just too busy to record my niche. But this motivating me to get back on it
And on that, I have another problem you could potentially make a video about. I make quite a lot of videos, but by the time I edit them, upload them etc, I start to see their flaws, become embarrassed, and just take them down. Maybe a video about how not to care so much about your vids, or how to overcome upload anxiety/perfectionism.
Thank you for your advice it took me 11 years to upload my first video at first I was scared because I was big there was nobody who have kids on RUclips and I was looking for someone with the excuse I was hiding behind I didn't know I was also someone problem solver now I can't wait to film and upload every Tuesday I look forward to it so thank you again.
been a subscriber for 6 years now love think media videos what to start a channel but stuck in procrasation its like a force pulling you back i hate it hopefully soon ill get over it and join you guys on the other side
Thank you Sean, for all these years sharing amazing stuff. Sorry to hear about your wife story, for sure you know why that happened. Now you are stronger and helping millions of people through a real and honest content. Well deserved all this success and more to come for you and your beautiful family :)
I struggled with a practice set up. I now use my iPhone as a webcam using Cameo. I record in Filmora and have a shure mic. Very cheap set up but it works.
I’ve only posted three videos, but it’s amazing to see how each time I hit upload, I start to see things I could’ve done better. It’s fun to see progress and exciting to see how I can improve each time!
I want a community of people with the same hobbies/ niche, but how do I get those people to find my channel? Thumbnails, titles, key words, but what else?
I have 2 RUclips channels the first one I have over 300 videos upload but still have not enough watch hrs. Some videos have over 1000 views some get barely 40 views it can be frustrating. Would love to know what exactly I could do better to get more consistent views ?
"A Chinese bamboo tree takes five years to grow. It has to be watered and fertilized in the ground where it has been planted every day. It doesn't break through the ground for five years. After five years, once it breaks through the ground, it will grow 90 feet tall in FIVE WEEKS"
I literally just posted a video that I worked my hardest on and it’s not doing great 😂 but like you said don’t give up just keep plugging away! Thank you for all your help so far!
I believe this to be true. I started this year fresh out of the Army in the middle of university. Couldn't upload that much due to studying but now I'm on winter break and plan to crank some videos out.
You say it takes 2 to 3 years to make a small business profitable. Anyone who is on Universal Credits (welfare) in the UK has 12 months to earn the minimum wages for their situation after expenses or else they will be expected to give up that business. They have to submit their income and allowable expenses every month and if it dips below the minimum wage level for a month or two they have to explain why and if the reason is not good enough they are expected to still give it up. Tough for those who do seasonal work or have health issues. While on Universal Credit they are generally not allowed to set up a new business for five years after they have been told to stop the 1st one.
You say to just start before you’re ready but then you also say failing to plan is planning to fail. You really confuse people with this messaging and it’s evident in comments on videos, live streams, the VRA Facebook group, etc. Can you please do some videos unifying this messaging? I assume you intend it as a balance between planning and just going without a plan to get started, or maybe you intend it for different audiences (the new creator without any content versus someone with 100+ subs who has been making content with no plan). But this stuff gets confusing when you give both messaging independently and never link it.

Hi, do you have any tips on how to deal with brands. I wonder when is the right time to ask for payment instead of just free products? Thank you 😊
informative 21mins.

Hi 👋🏼 did you film this in 35mm focal length?
Very good content!
Sean, you would make a great actor!! maybe your next niche ,-)
I like how hour speech on camera has improved

😂 18:23 - 20:48 story of my life loll
Reasons come first and results come second
so good
"A Chinese bamboo tree takes five years to grow. It has to be watered and fertilized in the ground where it has been planted every day. It doesn't break through the ground for five years. After five years, once it breaks through the ground, it will grow 90 feet tall in FIVE WEEKS"

Same here.
Time stamp (18:25) the highlight of the video that completely had me laughing at the computer!!💀🔥😂
How does one contact YT and get issues fixed? Been working at this for 20 months.....
No you didn't! haha you used A.I for the thumbnail! Love it.

I am sick but still I made 2 videos coming later :)
Did felt good that I have already done them :)
Not trolling but same advice as always. I’m starting today before I’m ready and was hoping to hear something insightful
Appreciate the feedback - listening and committed to bringing you value. Appreciate you 🙏🏻 - Sean
First comment! I'll listen now 😂
The first 2mins got me and all my 2022 excuses not to film, lol - Thanks 🙏💥
How do I set this as my alarm in the morning? 😂
AI thumbnail?!?! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Anyone see the strange eyes in the thumbnail?
