I made my first set of your conditioner bars around Nov 17 23 and have been using it since! I have long curly hair and am in love! It took me a while to get used to a solid bar, but its getting easier! Just have to remember to keep it wet while running it through my hair and that works best for me. But i have to tell you this! I notice a HUGE difference in the amount of hair loss during conditioning and combing!! I would have to clean my shower drain out several times a week and now, its been weeks!! (That has NEVER happened before!) And my wide tooth comb that i use would be FULL of hair in a few days so much so that i would have to cut the hair off with scissors (gross i know!) But its amazing the difference!! This is awesome!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!! Ive been sharing the conditioner bars with my friends and family!! And they love it! I tell everyone you are my fav soap RUclipsr and you are like the "Martha Stewart" of soaping (but meant in the highest of respect... not the jail stuff!) Thanks again!
I added a few drops of rosemary EO to my shampoo and conditioner bars and it helps thicken hair and stop it from falling out, too. I use Ellen's recipes on both for my hair.
Hi Ellen Ruth Soap, I am a retired guy who got started making cold process soap last year, I heard about condition bars, check out several sites, but yours is the best, I brought the ingredients and going to make my first batch today. Thank you again so much and love your work. Daniel D
I am relatively new to soap making, and find the whole process fascinating. I am also very please with the atmosphere of the soaping community as a group. the willingness of you, and so many other soap makers to share your skills, and to give credit to others is heartwarming.
I was converted to shampoo and conditioner bars about 2 years ago and can't imagine going back to commercial products. My hair is so much happier! I actually only condition about every 2-3 shampoos as the bar conditioner is that effective. I've been considering trying to make my own and now I just might give it a try. Thanks for sharing!
What brand do you normally use? They are so expensive that I don't want to do trial and error and waste my money to research. I would rather buy one that works. I am also allergic to regular soap so I am not sure if that wouldn't make me itchy as well🤔🤕
This is an awesome recipe! I've been using it on my hair for a few months now. It leaves my hair soft and shiny. Thanks Ellen for another great recipe!
I just want to say thank you. I have learned more from you than all the books and classes I've used. You are such a great teacher and you explain why you do everything you do. Makes it so easy to watch you and to learn!
Isn’t she fantastic!!! You can tell she taught her kids at home, such a great teacher! I can’t imagine Ellen getting cross very often! I bet her hubby and kids would say otherwise lol 😂
What a lovely thing to say to anyone! I just now discovered her. Your comment makes me want to watch ALL of her videos! It’s so important to build up others with your positive reactions!
Ellen, I purchased my first shampoo bar from you a month ago and LOVED it. I just wish you carried conditioner bars for sale on your website as well. You have a new client for life. I found you through the shout out from Earthglow candles. I hope you will carry more shampoo and conditioner bars for purchase soon. Your soaps are amazing as well.
I’ve been making a 3 in 1 Shampoo, Conditioner & Treatment Bars for years using Melt & Pour SLES/SLS/Detergent free Soap Base. I add Sweet Almond oil or jojoba oil for a added treatment.
These are just gorgeous bars! I love shampoo and conditioner bars. They last sooo much longer than bottled shampoos & conditioners. I use BTMS-50 in my deep conditioning bars and BTMS-25 IN my light to regular shampoo & conditioner bars. I love all kinds of butters in my bars, eslecially Murumuru Butter. It does make a slightly darker bar, but it is an excellent butter for hair. Also a bit of Cupuacu Butter is nice. Thanks for sharing! Jill Gross
I just have to say that you have the best presentation when making soaps and things. You are the Martha Stewart of soap-making!! I can watch your videos all day long. thank you for sharing your skills. I'm a fan and appreciate you sharing your talents!
Hi Ellen, I have just made my first Hair Conditioner Bar! You are a genius! I absolutely love it!!! I used it last night and my hair feels absolutely fabulous and its shiny! Thank you so much for sharing. Huge Kudos from Down Under Ellen, have a wonderful whatever time of the day it is where you are. Its 8.23am Monday morning here.
I just washed my hair and had to tell you, I am still loving this conditioner bar. I have been making it for about a year now. I also make Aloe Shampoo Bar from Bramble Berry, formulated for hair, no lye. Using your conditioner bar with the Aloe Shampoo Bar works great on my thick, curly, colored hair. The shampoo bar lathers so well and takes very little effort to get a great lather. Your conditioner bar and the shampoo bar I make last forever. Thanks so much for this recipe.❤❤❤
I have the same scale as you do & if you weigh something in ounces and need grams etc., you can click the "mode" button to change to grams and it will convert it for you. Just thought Id mention that. It was a huge help for me. *S*
I was just told from a subscriber of mine to check out your conditioner bars since I was making shampoo and haven’t mastered that yet. Great video. I’ll be making these next. New subscriber here
I am trying to make my own bath and beauty bars for my own personal use and got inspired to make them for friends family and then maybe a business for my small country town!! Thank you wonderful lady for your knowledge and inspiration ❤
Your videos are always so calming to watch. Splitting a batch for 2 fragrances is a great idea! Why didn't I think of that?! lol Have a great weekend Ellen! :) ~ Michele
Ellen, I love your videos and recipes, I would really love it if you gave your recipes in percentages rather than grams so I could make them in smaller amounts without having to try to convert. Thank you for all your work
Wow! I love watching you with this complete tutorial, may God bless you more !!! I'm just happy that you shared every details completely and very undestandable ❤️
I must say after watching your shampoo bar's these conditioner's weren't a disappointment. They looked just as good. And I loved the fact that you could leave this on, as my hair is really long and my ends do suffer , so this bar would be perfect for myself. So thank you again for another real good recipe. 🥰🇬🇧⛄
Ellen, even though they are slightly clear, they look very creamy and Luscious in your demo. Thanks so much for sharing! I found out that blending some fragrances that are in themselves a blend can be fun and so good smelling to boot. 😊 Blessings 👍💕
Thank you so much for sharing! I've been wanting to try to make shampoo and conditioner bars for myself (and maybe my biz). I love how you explain ingredients and the process.
Very interesting to watch. The only thing I dont like about those round ones is that they are so slippery when they're wet that they're hard to hang on to and i keep dropping the bar in the shower and hard to keep ahold of. But I've used the conditioner bars my sister makes and they do work good and help after using the shampoo bar. As when i use the shampoo var it makes my hair feel like dull and weird, so i need the conditioner bars to make my hair softer and more manageable. I want to get some again one of these days. Thanks for the good video. 😊

Hi! I love the strawberry shampoo bars you made…. It’s grown up strawberry shampoo scent! Excited to try the conditioning bars! I’m crossing fingers for strawberry scent!
I made this today, but I used different scents. Lady V and Mango. It was wonderful and ur recipe was easy to follow and left my hair manageable and glossy! It also rinsed out very well like you said. Ellen HI! Love all your receipts..thanks for sharing..i got a question about your conditioning bar..would it need to cured?
They don't need a cure time like soap, but I let them sit for a week before wrapping..
I just came across your site today. Love it. I’m going to look for your shampoo bars as well. Do you have or are you maybe working on something that stops hair fallout and starts growth?
I don't have a shampoo for those particular needs. But I've heard great things about red light therapy for hair regrowth.
@@EllenRuthSoap thank you, especially for your quick response. ❤️❤️
