I need absolutely and desperately HD video of Sheena Easton's oscar performance. It was once in a lifetime.
There's been an interesting set of American composers who had worked for the Bond 007 series: Marvin Hamlisch, Bill Conti, Michael Kamen, and now Thomas Newman. They're all just as great as John Barry and David Arnold.
Well, thank goodness they got Sheena to do it in the end! For Your Eyes Only wouldn't have been the same without her voice or the opening titles.
Binder tells the story of looking for a model with great eyes to appear in the opening credits. They showed him a picture of Sheena and he said That’s her”
This is the same guy that scored "Rocky"!
Very good thing they got Sheena!
Btw. Bill Conti speaks with quite a New York/New England accent, doesn’t he?
MartinUnterlaa he’s from rhode island!
"THE PERSIANS SAID 'COLLIDE IN US!'
WHILE THE BAND'S INSIDIN' US ...
ONLY FAYOO ...
FAYOO RICE ONLY!"
Is there an interview on just the score?
