I had always thought making anything from scratch was too hard. I saw a recipe like that on sorted food. They made a it with chocolate sponge, inside is a chocolate and almond mousse, and inside it is a mint whipped cream. They said it's called a zucotto.

I have made my own version of this today. I added zaffron instead of vanilla cuz I did not have any. I made one layer of the swiss roll. Then added mango juice ( did not have orange juice in hand) . Then a layer of frozen yougurt. Another layer of swiss roll with mango juice. Then few rasberries and strawberries and walnuts, then final layer of frozen yougurt.. Yummmmmmm

I started making this on Thursday and served it on Friday for my aunts birthday! It turned out great and was so delicious. I also added a third layer of vanilla ice cream since the mango didn't fill up the center. But, it was still really good. I got so many compliments and requests to make it again. tip: when I make this, I chill my plates for about 30 mins before serving... :) this is a great treat... I just love it.... and a little bit of chocolate drizzled on top doesn't hurt... LOL

Dear Laura ..... . A few weeks ago I came back from Italy -( i've been in Amalfi coast , Pozitano , Naples , and other beautifull Villages.) In Amalfi I tasted a Spectacular cookie that called sfogliatelle ,and it was so tasty!! I'm sure you've heard on this cookie , Because I know you came from the region of Southern Italy..... So please Make this recipe on your show!!! :) :)
Ha ha ha, a little brain freeze! This is an awesome recipe, my family would really enjoy! Can't wait to recreate and tag u on it! Those pasty rolls is a Portuguese tradition. We make that too. We make it with all different fillings! My favorite is to use Nutella as a filling. The recipe u use is very similar to that if my family, we also put with the flower baking soda and baking powder. The flower I get is from portugal. They don't put vanilla extract, but I do in my recipe because I fleet like without it the cake part was just missing so,etching. Ah yes, we also zest is lemon and sometimes orange zest too! Filling with ur lemon curd would be awesome, we do that too. This is awesome, I am sure my family would be pleased with it!
