All this while, I was so lost in Aditi’s walk that I didn’t even notice at 1:25 how the background dancers’ spins and the undulating volumes of their skirts are meticulously coordinated and symmetrical. Even at 2:15 and 2:26, they have been choreographed so creatively, like white moths fluttering around a flame. Uff, hypnotic.

I often re-watch the mujras just to watch the dancers in the background because their choreographies are excellent! And they all seem to be very solid dancers in their own right.
I love that instead of completely copying Aditi the backround dancers sort of “carry” the beat which is fast and Aditi dances according to the slow voice so combined it makes her slow walk so vibrant
The background dancers , spins and hand movements are perfectly coordinated to the beats , while Aditi walks towards them and her each and every step is also coordinated to the beats . These are all practiced a hundred times probably before getting captured on camera.💯

*screams* MEE(I'm not a classical dancer but i would love to learn, it's a beautiful art form). Ever since this series came out, all i have been doing is imagining a real heeramandi but without the courtesan part of it. What's left you may ask? Art. That's what. Imagine, just going there to witness art in the making, women and men performing not for prostitution purposes but just for the sake of their love for dance, embroidery being done in mass, clothing being sold and made, streets filled with somebody's singing voice, smell of flowers and perfume in the lanes... And when I read this comment, i was reminded of this imaginary place once again. But sadly it's only imagination.

Mughal period....the Era where indian culture and dance got tagged as 'men's entertainment material'... . . 4.2k likes wt- And for all the war in the comment- yes dancing and singing in palaces was sprominent from times immemorial but those artists were looked upon as artists and 'rewarded' for it, not 'looked down' upon and tagged as vulgar women or spineless men for wanting to learn art. And what's worst is that the mindset still prevails. Earlier, learning any form of art was virtuous , but then it became the 'job' of those who were meant to please the emeprors not just on festive occasions but anytime they wanted for pleasure. There is a difference in forms of pleasure as well. We cannot demean an entire Era but we must know what we have lost And for those saying that they got it from Hindus, and it destroyed them bcz they got attached , well- I guess self control was never an option then? So are u implying men were mindless fools who could not control themselves n still r n that's why women r not respected? Well maybe get into yoga then🧘♀️
Welp, I didn't like the series as a story. There is no compelling storyline, the dialogues serve only the purpose of making the characters look cool, no foreshadowing, nothing to be excited about but it is also visual masterpiece like all of bhansali's work. Manisha's acting is to die for. The costumes are the dream manifested for any girl. I watch it for the pleasure of the eyes. But as a story it still sucks.
I think this actress is exceptional her grace in this dance and role as well as her beauty. An underrated actress looking at her dance especially in such a challenging role. She has proved absolutely stunning and brilliant actress.
Omg how gracefully she is walking like a swan mesmerizing she ate all Bollywood with just one walk and left no crumbs Aditi Rao nailed it it's trully so amazing it's not a easy task do this walk with zero figure it's called a elephant walk which can be done with curvey and slightly heavy so removed all insecurities of all woman with slim body that elegance and grace is in Evey body we just need to enhance and find it in our body

The cherry on the top moment of this whole singing was 2:29, the way Barnali Dee Said that " Woh" , agar aapka kaan taiyar ho to realise hoga ❤
Basss!!! Aahhhhh i am relieved somebody realised this💯💯 so on point i hear just this "woh" 1000000 times!!!

1:26 obsessed with this walk

Listening to the songs on loop…so many bengali singers…proud moment…
Mughal period....the Era where indian culture and dance got tagged as 'men's entertainment material'...

And for all the war in the comment- yes dancing and singing in palaces was sprominent from times immemorial but those artists were looked upon as artists and 'rewarded' for it, not 'looked down' upon and tagged as vulgar women or spineless men for wanting to learn art. And what's worst is that the mindset still prevails. Earlier, learning any form of art was virtuous , but then it became the 'job' of those who were meant to please the emeprors not just on festive occasions but anytime they wanted for pleasure. There is a difference in forms of pleasure as well. We cannot demean an entire Era but we must know what we have lost
And for those saying that they got it from Hindus, and it destroyed them bcz they got attached , well- I guess self control was never an option then? So are u implying men were mindless fools who could not control themselves n still r n that's why women r not respected? Well maybe get into yoga then🧘♀️
No Bhai... It has been there from the very beginning

@@shivadittyamishraNo, earlier dances used to be performed in temples to please the gods not these mortals.
Have u heard of indhiralogam
It was from the Buddhist Era also , haven't you heard of Amrapali ?
Everyone is praising Aditi but the singer Barnali Chattopadhyay sang this song so beautiful that she should also get such appreciation ❤
Everybody is obsessed with the walk but beside all am so obsessed with the song and the melody 😍🙌
She ate the whole bollywood in just one walk ❤
Obsessed with the voice, Barnali Chattopadhyay ❤❤
1:24 This walk is stunning 🤯🔥😍 i watched it more than 100 times 🥵🔥🥹🤌 Aditi nailed it💯

Series is trending no.1 in every language after getting negative reviews 😅 haters got shocked ❤
Exactly the same i heard. It's one the most watched series on Netflix watched within a week of release. 😂😂😂😂
But as a story it still sucks.
the hate is mostly for that alamzeb girl,
Bcoz it was part 1.@@bive4167

This song is a masterpiece, weaving together beauty, talent, and artistry into something truly awe-inspiring. And seeing the series rank in the top 10 on Netflix France 🇨🇵 fills me with pride, as a Sri Lankan 🇱🇰, to witness our neighboring country's remarkable production captivating audiences worldwide.🎉

I always felt that SLB is fab music director. Because he is so passionate about his films good songs and bgms always were the highlight of his songs. From Heeramandi this song and Sakal ban are my fav.
The voice is like a wine🤤🤤 and the graceful performance of Aditi is just 😘😘😘😘 brought us to those period....👌
This was how thumri is made expressing the heart of woman with modesty and dignity!
Thanking Sanjay Leela Bhansali, writer, choreographer, costume designer, cinematographer, singer, co dancers and everyone involved in making this song for bringing this form of indegenous poetry after such a long gap after pakeezah and umrao jaan!

1:46 Did anybody notice how she tucked her dupatta in?.. so smoothly 😮😮
Yes. I noticed it
Yes I noticed too
Yes it's amazing 🤩
yes... her each movement in this song is spectacular
Scene cut kr kr k shoot hota hai usne tucked nahi kia dupatta kisi ne pin up kia h scene cut hone k baad tmhe lgta h itna movement par woh dupatta wese hi rahega aisa perfect smooth edit kr k dekhaya gya hai ki kisi ko pta hi nhi chala haan aditi ne kafi gracefully dance kia dupatta k sath no doubt but 1:46 may kafi pro level pe film kia gya h pta bhi nhi chala dupatta kab shoulder par tucked hogya😂❤👀✨
The singer's voice has some glimpse of Vidushi Shobha Gurtu ji ❤❤
Heeramandi is a masterpiece, but Aditi's move is a slaying crowning stroke.
One like for aditi rao hydari>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So many aah moments in this..few etched strongly are:
1. Expressions all through
2. Settings & visuals (fountains lighting’s etc)
3. That viral walk
4. Singers style of rendition (probably the first)
5. Way she tucked in her dupatta
6. Slows down the move at 2:27
1:14 goshhh!!!
That walk 🤌
Every song of Heeramandi deserves national award especially this song👏👏👏 Spectacular compositions by Sanjay leela bhansali ji🙏
That gajgamini walk and pinch of "doob ja mere pyar me" after 2nd antara ❤❤❤
