These are the best looking, and taking care of "hoaders" dogs I have ever seen. You can definitely tell you guys are right & that the man loved them & tried very hard to keep up with them. And especially that he didn't let it get beyond cold nights for them, and some vetting. These are beautiful dogs & I hope & pray that each & every one of them found a home back then.
You can see they were taken care of, they all look healthy, meat on there bones. It's to bad he got over whelmed, he was trying to do the right thing. I hope he doesn't do this anymore.
Well, to give a dog a loving home forever there have to be people who adopt them. But if there is no one, the shelters can't affort to feed them all or can't affort the vet costs. Don't buy, adopt! Adopting from shelters gives the puppy-mill owners no chance! I'm very sorry that so many of them were put to sleep! I would adopt them all if I could.
Thank you, HSUS and partners, for yet another successful rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of animals. This is a terribly sad case, but characteristic of what the reality is when a concerned guardian tries to rescue too many animals by themself.
I can't express how much love I have for these people. I wanted to be a vet but now I can't decide between a vet or be a part of this group thank u so much HSUS for helping these dogs and many other animals. Thank u so much😗
This brought tears to my eyes. Seeing a wretched dog giving love and kisses to the HSUS worker reminded me again that dogs are the pure embodiment of love.
they took the animals from that place, tried to help as much as possible, made the dogs happy, but in the end it depends on how many were healthy enough to live, and how many got adopted, not there fault people cant really adopt or that the animals were in such a bad living condition, they saved the ones who could be saved, and tried with the ones who couldnt be saved
considering the number of dogs, they look surprisingly healthy; none look starved, or dirty, or sick, they all had decent coats and a good layer of fat and muscle. they may just lack socialization skills. i can't imagine how horrible the owner/rescuer must have felt when they were all killed. :(
This is what people should do when they realize they have too many animals to care for. Many people end up with a hoard of animals that they cannot properly care for. Instead of doing what's right and informing people that they have too many, those people choose to keep all of them, and their health significantly suffers as a result. This man did a good thing by contacting authorities. It makes me happy to see that. The dogs are all well cared for it looks like, but he simply had too many of them, and he owned up to the fact that it was becoming problematic. Wonderful
That's too bad that there are SO many in need of homes...and this guy clearly didn't want to turn anyone away. If only others around him had supported and helped him, he could have found them forever homes so it would have just been temporary rescue housing. It is just too bad and really sad.
Living in urine soaked conditions is like breathing in acid everyday. Their internal injuries are too extensive for them to live for much longer without constant medical care/attention. Also tons of animals are put down daily simply because there are just not enough resources to house them and not enough people adopt. Most people resort to puppy mills and pet stores or private breeders. There's not always a happy ending with situations like this.
when healthy animals are put down, may the same be done to those make these decissions, the dogs were better off where they were, at least they were alive, or he should have been offered help, these evil people can only get rid of things, I wish the good guy who tried to help the dogs, all the happiness of life and may he continue his good deed and may he be rewarded by getting more help to continue his good deed
That is beyond incorrect. They were outside in negative one degree weather. They would just freeze or starve to death eventually. You think that's humane? Animal hoarding and not vetting them is a mental illness. He wasn't helping anything. If people don't want animals put down, then stop the puppy mills and the the hoarders with endless breeding of diseased animals. I did cat rescue for years. PEOPLE are the problem, and sometimes animals have to be put down because of PEOPLE.
@weatherboi it is not as easy as one may think to simply rehome them after you take them in. I run my own rescue and start taking dogs to adoption as soon as they are ready, and we rotate who we take. I've had a lot of my dogs since they were puppies and they are now fully grown. This guy started off doing the right thing and the dogs look to be in decent health. IF there were more responsible ppl, there would be no need for guys who tried to do this and get into this kind of thing
@formula406mpfi Yes, Put to sleep either because their conditions would have been too hard on the dog to treat, Uncurable or they were gonna live in a cage in the shelter because no one would adopt them
Yay. Donate money to help support places like this who kill dogs they don't deem adoptable because they don't have enough time / decency to put into training them. You poor poor sucker.

Just amazing how some humans have the kindest heart for animals, and some are terribly cruel to them... Amazing story
Big heart with no help. Glad he called for help.

We support the HSUS with our sharing videos, AND our checkbooks. We urge others to get involved....
Pray he volunteers his time and love.
