I don't think people understand how different a hybrid can be from a domestic cat. We adopted a kitten from a pretty well known pet store chain (Not gonna name names, but it's one of the big ones) they told us he was just a tabby (he was only 8 weeks old at the time). So we took him home and once he started growing we began to have doubts about him being "just a tabby". So we took him to a vet and they told us he was actually a hybrid, part Asian Leopard and part Bengal. He had already been with us and had grown attached to me so we weren't gonna give him up, but he was a handful. Like they stated in the video, he was unpredictable around strangers, he could either full on attack them, or snuggle right up to them. He was also very intelligent and could open all of the doors in our house (and even the cage at the vet!) and he was huge! I'm not gonna get into everything he did, but people should really understand that hybrids should only be taken in by someone who knows what they're doing.

Cali C Those animals were in horrible conditions, you could see that Serval was losing his mind. It’s because of people like you, who seek out certain breeds because they look a certain way, that breeders even exist and that there are millions of pets in shelters. No breeders should exist until every animal shelter is empty and all those animals are in loving homes.
These people are amazing. After seeing this, I was bawling my eyes out and puked at least twice. I don’t understand why humans do this just for money. Lives are more important, making this all the more heartbreaking. I help animals myself, such as if they were caught in nets or needed food, just basic things. But by doing this, these animals’ lives will be saved. I have always owned rescues. My favorite was my beagle, who was in an abusive home, sleeping outside, and he was there for about six years and we owned him for four. He died at ten with a tumor in his mouth, making it unable for him to eat and breathe that we just had to put him to rest. Buddie was the best dog on Earth, no matter what others may say. He was very sweet. If I were him, I surely would never trust any person again, and yet he did, with me and creating a powerful bond between us that could never be broken, no matter the consequences. He died two years ago, when I was ten-and-a-half. He was the same age as me, and I still cannot get over his death. This inspired me to help animals, no matter how untame and feral they may be, because I know, in the end, they still need love.

Millions of critters die, miserable and alone in shelters all over this country and yet there's people out there, an alarming number of them, who just want a designer pet. The hubris and ignorance of our species.

Why not own already domesticated breed and put money and energy into conserving the Savannah cats natural habitat, so future generations can enjoy this beautiful creatures like we can? Also, blame does partly have to be given to the owners of exotics breeds. If there weren't people buying exotic pets the trade would never exist.

That, to a rescue for small exotic cats, a professional private rescuer, or a AZA non profit zoological facility It just depends on the animal and the resources available to them
I really want to be part of the team so I can rescue animals, but I've had no training and I'm only 13, and I don't live in the States. Anyways, God bless you guys! You're amazing people!
@Travelwise65 Actually we work with our Emergency Placement Partners to help find homes for animals we rescued from cruelty and neglect. In this case, some are still being held while ownership is disputed. Others have been adopted, or placed with our placement partners to be put up for adoption.
It annoys me to no end how people want wild or half-wild animals. We all think they're beautiful, but most of us have the decency to leave them where they are happy. Savannah cats and huskies are very borderline to me, as they are almost always obtained because they look wild and have cute videos on RUclips. I have only ever seen one husky owner in my town who was fit to own such an active, independent dog. And I imagine it is the same with savannah cats... Stop getting animals for their beauty, people! If you want something big and wild-looking, be prepared to give it a space that is big and looks like the wild... Or in the case of a husky, be prepared to bike that dog at least 3 miles, 5 days of the week and invest in lots of training.
I've had much more issues with bloody DOMESTIC dogs, cats, than any hybrid wolves, bengals, etc. This was done PURELY FOR SHOW! I'm sure HSUS KILLED THEM ALL!!!
@thewiitry some are still in holding while ownership is disputed. Others were adopted out or placed with some of our Emergency Placement Partners in the area so that they can find homes.

Not everybody breeds like this, some people take the time and put the effort into making sure their kittens are happy and healthy. A lot of savanna breeders are very responsible, sadly this one was not.
IMO, there's no way to humanely and responsibly keep a wild animal for breeding purposes. There's no reason to be taking completely undomesticated creatures from the wild and breeding them with domestic animals.
Because Ynot Some people buy "domesticated" servals from breeders, and that's wrong, but not every serval is ripped out of the wild. Plus, F1 savannas are not that common, most savanna cats I've seen from breeders at least, are F3-F7
HumanTrashBin Regardless, there are millions of beautiful cats in shelters. No need to breed more into existence just because some people want designer cats.
Thank you for rescuing the serval & savannah cats. They do not belong in someone’s backyard, they are wild animals. Unfortunately this is a more common occurrence than one would think. It is completely unfair to the animals. While they can’t go free if born in captivity, they could live out their days in a sanctuary.
@SPiiRiiTVV0LF some are still in holding while ownership is disputed. Others were adopted out or placed with some of our Emergency Placement Partners in the area so that they can find homes.

That, to a rescue for small exotic cats, a professional private rescuer, or a AZA non profit zoological facility
It just depends on the animal and the resources available to them
It is sad. Tks for helping innocent animals.
The one that had to crawl around, I had a cat like him/her that I got from my barn. I'm so sad, she's sooooo sweet
I am so glad that they got rescued. Now all those poor animals can start the good live they deserve

There is savanna cat from somewhere in my neighborhood and he is the sweetest cat I have ever met
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I thank you for saving those poor animas
Who would do such a thing! Thank you!!
Thank God we have your guys back, without you. everything would been a disaster
@thewiitry some are still in holding while ownership is disputed. Others were adopted out or placed with some of our Emergency Placement Partners in the area so that they can find homes.

Good job human. I am with you.
u people are doing a great job.... well done 👏👏
I am no longer interested in Savanna cats
Not everybody breeds like this, some people take the time and put the effort into making sure their kittens are happy and healthy. A lot of savanna breeders are very responsible, sadly this one was not.
IMO, there's no way to humanely and responsibly keep a wild animal for breeding purposes. There's no reason to be taking completely undomesticated creatures from the wild and breeding them with domestic animals.
Because Ynot Some people buy "domesticated" servals from breeders, and that's wrong, but not every serval is ripped out of the wild. Plus, F1 savannas are not that common, most savanna cats I've seen from breeders at least, are F3-F7
they can be wonderful cats but you have to put in the time. also, vet bills are expensive
HumanTrashBin Regardless, there are millions of beautiful cats in shelters. No need to breed more into existence just because some people want designer cats.
THANK YOU!!!!
wahh this made me cry.My friends aunt owns 40 cats including 5 dogs she works for acpca.
That deformed kitty made me sooo sad he was so beautiful how could she just be making him live like that :((( i hope he got adopted
god bless u all
Thank you for rescuing the serval & savannah cats. They do not belong in someone’s backyard, they are wild animals. Unfortunately this is a more common occurrence than one would think. It is completely unfair to the animals. While they can’t go free if born in captivity, they could live out their days in a sanctuary.
when that serval walked oit of the door, it gave me the creepiest vibe ever. the way it walked was freaking killer like.
3:09 omg that cat is so fluffy 😍😍😍
@SPiiRiiTVV0LF some are still in holding while ownership is disputed. Others were adopted out or placed with some of our Emergency Placement Partners in the area so that they can find homes.
