Survival is going to be very solid with hero trees. Everyone already knows about the huge self healing on pack leader, but sentinel with large target counts is going to be very hard to kill. When those debuffs start going off on like 5 targets and you get a 5% ho shield every SECOND thats going to be nuts. And its very easy to stack them in CA and you can have a 45sec CD on a 20 second duration CA. If no nerfs come, they are going to be bonkers.
Great take on the snares. Auto auto applied/spammable slows should be capped at 50%. Rogues also put up a 60% slow just by autoing people. 60+% snares on all mage slows do to frigid winds. etcc. People dont realize that 50%-60% is a massive difference since going 40% vs 50% is 20% slower. A 70% snare is going 40% slower than 50%.
Also Survival after the armor changes just became like if you dont have bomb or explosive just stay away press kc, ks etc. Like it's not even worth to stay in melee range with survival idk how it will feel after the latest beta change with hero talents but i don't think it feels really good to press mongoose bite at all so it kinda sucks against melees
So happy to hear Feral is tankier in TWW. In Dragonflight it literally felt like if you were even looked at you had to pop all your defensives and run away. Excited to try Druid of the Claw and actually do some damage while in Bear form too instead of just popping enrage regen and hoping for the best.
You don't really do any damage in bear as Claw, but you are way tankier in both bear and cat, you will want to swap bear with fluid talent then back to cat next global and maintain some armor+hp buff from Claw talents. It feels great! I wish they change some things so you can do a BIG hit in bear form. I would love that!
Outlaw's adrenaline rush change which now requires you to have some haste a bit and it being the only no dot pure physical spec kinda hurt a bit but i think it'll be pretty good with war within tier set and hero talents
*disclaimer* rogues he q'd into are some of the best rogue players in the game right now, it's easy to stop sub rogues if you just cc them on their dance or disrupt go's, so aside from that I think the list is very good 👍🏽
I agree. Subrogue isnt really in a good Spot Right now. The unbursty Meta isnt in Their favor. They can Hit quite hard, but their dmg from hero talents is unpredictable, which you dont want as a subrogue. On top of that all rogue specs got hit with a kidney shot nerf which will have a Great impact on all of the specs.
I always wanted to play survival hunter, but so many people who played it would remind that it was too tedious to get results. So I just didn't play it. But trying it in prepatch its noticable how fluid it is compared to before for a new player. If anyone was avoiding it because of how difficult it seems give it a try right now. It's sick as hell in WPvP too
So ww monks, fury and arms warrior, enhancement shaman and surv hunter share the same problem and it's not with the spec by itself Considering your insight about those classes, the real problem is frost mages and their endless roots, right?
I've only played a few hours of survival the last few days on retail, only about 4 or so pieces of conquest and it feels good if you understand how to play it right. I didn't have much problem getting around the maps in epic bg's connecting with ranged thanks to the pet cd and well timed FD's. Explosive shot and WF Bomb do a fair amount of dmg from ranged and Aspect of the Eagle makes Mongoose Bite windows feel really nice when ppl run from yah, or your trying to kite a bit. Im no pro, just some average guy that enjoys the spec.

The snares... great insights! As a warrior main, I gotta say... I would rather have mage classes a bit tankier than untouchable (what you guys think?)... not being able to stay on target is just way too stressing and frustrating. Frost mage default slow, Frost bolt, is 50% by default. All mages can increase this by 10% max with two talent points into Frigid Winds. Cone of cold slow up to a max of 80% for 5 second on a 12 second cooldown. Frozen Orb, 1 min cd with blizzard CDR, is a max of 40% slow. Most melee DPS have speed buffs atm in Retail along with gear speed so snares do not feel nearly as overpowered as in the past. I do agree that constant Roots that do not DR is overpowered. If it is possible for Ice Nova to be applied 4-6 times in a row I do think that it should have a 3 second internal immune with itself where after being rooted by Ice Nova once a melee cannot be rooted by Ice Nova again for 3 seconds. This would fix that you are talking about. Snares and Roots are separate and Snares are not nearly as good as in the past.
I don't consider a meta when melee are on 24/7 snare a fun one, it's frustrating as it is with every class having 100 CCs and now they have even more snare micro CC?
It really isn't. It feels like second nature, and it's only 2 dots (3 with moonfire). Which you do anyway to proc bloodtalons (3 different builders in a row for damage buff on bites). Sure, alongside survival it's probably the most complex rotation. But it doesn't take too long to learn :)
Generally you have to have the best gear and such to even be able to pull that off, it’s not as easy as people make it out to be when certain specs have that
Not even best gear can 1 shot anymore atm. Every class has passive heal when stun. You go play 1 and will delete it within a week. Sub is CC bot rn with no dmg. Have you even seen any Sub rogue video lately? Only Assa.

@Supatease - these rankings are supposed to be a normal distribution. If every spec is A-tier, then A-tier becomes average. Please use tiers C and D in the future with B-tier being the average. There should be as many specs in D-tier as their are in S-tier and same with C vs A. Most specs should be in B.
Play a warlock against any of these melee and then say there needs to be a c and d tier as you get trained to the ground before you cast 1 single chaos bolt and 38 minute cast time.😂

If 80% of the Specs are ranked above B/average means that average is No longer the average/B Tier. A Tier should mean that these Specs in that tier perform better than average and S means way above average Same for C and D but reversed

i'll say what i always say... does anyone really believe after 20 years of cyclically nerfing and op-ing classes and specs that any of this is accidental! they could even out the classes and specs...but then what would we have to talk about!
For Warrior in BG/ RBG - the new Storm of Destruction tooltip says it reduces healing by 50% for 10 sec for all targets hit. So AoE sharpen if that is accurate, definitely good for RBG. Like S tier god mode good.
I'm a melee, always, and I hate casters. My partner always plays mage. So there really is no choice for me if I wanna have fun. I can't play warrior or monk, i'd get mega CC'ed by the ineviteble caster meta. I must play feral or rogue and I prefer feral. Try playing warrior or something into rank 1 double casters. YOU WILL want to reroll to rogue/feral.
You can play melee to pretty high ratings. Any double rank 1 team is going to beat you regardless of their comp, unless you're on r1 level, which I highly doubt.
Aside from Honor grinding in Bgs, there are much faster ways. Make sure WM is on and do any daily pvp WQs that drop pvp gear, any daily pvp WQs that drop bloody tokens (one of these WQs drop like 700 tokens. You can buy gear for like 200 so that’s an easy 2 gear pieces for just 5 minutes of your time), the weekly trophy of strife quests that drop currency to spend on pvp gear, and weekly pvp quests from Malicia
Enhancement is C at best. Terrible mobility, bloated rotation, very low damage, casted stun, casted hex as a melee, no MS, squishy, the list goes on and. No rework for it because its trash D tier but give it C for copium

Arena was Pure during BC / Wrath, early arena when you could actually use a mental clock to time a CD like BoP or Block ect. People's opinions are very wild and varied. Best is to spam arenas on the beta and get a feel for it :) I'm going feral!

I'd play feral if the rotation wasn't so hard. There are so many builders and maintaining all those dots.

Why would sub keep getting buffed? Especially with a gimmicky one shot as you mentioned. Historically that will be nerfed into the ground asap.

just queue up battlegrounds and buy honor gear then arenas/rated battlegrounds and buy conquest gear its that easy

@@carlobertolini7833 IT IS A PROBLEM - A Mage can be countered, it's a KNOWN FACT when a tank spec is S Tier PVP is by default worse. NOOOOO GOOD pvper likes when Tanks are viable.
