Neil Young has lived and worked in the U.S. for many years. He has lived through the same nightmare as any other resident of the U.S. and therefore is entitiled to have an opinion on American politics. The United States behaves as though the rest of the world revolves around them and many countries, including Canada, surely resent that, with good reason.
Canada and america have a strong link and connected in many dimensions, it makes perfect sense that Neil ( A Canadian) would be concerned with American politics, many Canadians are.
allionstallion - that is not correct. Neil was born outside Toronto, raised in Winnipeg. Parents were both Canadian citizens. Neil moved to the States in mid 60's.
We refer to any one from Asia as Asians, people from Africa are Africans, being from Europe makes a person European. Being from the continent of South or North America makes a person American in the eyes of the rest of the world. Neil maintained his Canadian citizenship. But, he pays a hell of a lot of USA taxes. That gives him the right to speak up. We can give him that to make up for the taxation without representation.
I had to read the comment by ILoveMyRandallAmp a few times before I realised he wasn't joking. There's only one true sentence in that comment."Bush may have been an idiot"(and I won't even mention that he mis-spelled idiot)
I hear ya, wmd66 , It friggen kills me I do like the President, as I will like Obama,my wallet may not like him, but as Americans we need to support our leaders and if we disagree vote for someone else, anonomosly and in private. MY GOD ,WHAT A GREAT COUNTRY!!!
It is funny that he needed help remembering three questions before commenting on Bush in Eurpoe of all places.Maybe you like Bush, maybe you don't but discussing it with a french sounding individual is out there.
@putdownan8dude there wasn't much of a decesion at the time.. we were screwed either way. but if you really want to change our government vote for congress members their the ones who have the power. not the president.
Neil Young is everything exept anti-american! I love America but I didn't like ( and I still don't :-) ) Bush at all! I was so happy for the Americans when I heard Obama was president! There is a big difference! Ps: we must NEVER forget what he's doing for the children with a handicap with his schools and for the farmers in the USA! We have these schools here in Belgium and people don't have to pay for it, but I don't think it's the same in America! So, for those who think Neil is an anti-american, I really think you're wrong!!!
He speaks the TRUTH!!!!!

It is the internet after all not a classroom. And there is no spell check here no f7...
Asking three questions at once, ridiculous.
I was in Canada recently and "queer" is still part of their vocabulary..that is, meaning weird or odd. Being an American, I thought it was comical.
It is funny that he needed help remembering three questions before commenting on Bush in Eurpoe of all places.Maybe you like Bush, maybe you don't but discussing it with a french sounding individual is out there.
LOL!!!...very true....
YA RIGHT, AND HE LIVES IN THE STATES??
The other day I was wondering if "queer" is even in the dictionary anymore. At one time that was just a synonym for "weird" or "odd."
@putdownan8dude there wasn't much of a decesion at the time.. we were screwed either way. but if you really want to change our government vote for congress members their the ones who have the power. not the president.
Neil, great! ;-(
what is this guy asking? i cant understand it at all
Even a conservative should be humble enough to admit that Bush 43 was one of our worst presidents--definitely the worst to serve two terms.
Bush was pretty fit.
True Bush is in good shape.LOL
The hell are you talking about. Neil is a North American not and American. He's a North American Canadian

I know he was on record supporting certain Reagan policies, but was he in fact a card carrying member of the GOP?
Neil should shut up and sing.
dumbest comments ever made.
Yay, the new boss, same as the old boss!
