What a man, I know it’s a cliche but he made the team ramp it up when we needed it. Strong character and nutter, we loved this bloke especially after Yorke went. Shame we didn’t get him when he was younger and that injury killed him off :( gave us some good memories
Have many fond memories of Dublin at Villa. Nothing will beat his pen against Bolton at the old Wembley. His comments about Balaban is what we all knew that is the worst signing in my lifetime. Thanks for the memories Dion. UTV!
My absolute favourite as a kid along with olof. Only been a few players I class as legends in my life and he's one. Him olof carew laursen barry As much as I loved JPA and gabby and many more I just never got the buzz when their names we announced before games like the aforementioned.
Brilliant interview, such a likeable man. Love his comments about some of the other players. The Balaban comments match things I've heard elsewhere. The analysis on both Collymore and Darius sums up my own feelings - lots of frustration about two very talented people. The Crouch story was the best though of course. Oh and and can we refrain from talking about Luc Nilis please? I'm still traumatised! *_sob_* Anyway. Good work, this. Well done.
Dion Dublin, I remember watching him at Cov and then when he came to Villa it was awesome. For me my favourite striker and I'm pretty old these days, so old my favourite player as a kid was Brian Little ;-)
Dion was a great player,we let him go too early.I've never been more disappointed to lose a player,he's one of my favourites over the last 42 years!Yet another who should have played for England regularly.
Dublin could teach modern players a thing or two about scoring: forget the Roberto Carlos stuff and just out your laces through the ball. He was always a team-player and now he's an ambassador and media pundit, he knows exactly what is required and does it.
The FA Cup final was probs his one regret of his time at Villa, couldnt really split us or chelsea in terms of performance or quality of player at the time, we just didnt turn up and they scored from a goalkeeping mistake.
When he was talking about the Arsenal game in 1998 he said him and david james almost came to blows. But that can't be true because David James didn't join the club until a year later in 1999. Anyone else notice this?
Dion Dublin = one of the most genuine, nicest blokes to have ever played for Villa.
A brilliant interview with the Legend Dion Dublin wish he still played for us.

Dion you legend. Great player, great guy. Didn't he score 7 goals in his first 3 games and it was unfortunate not to be 3 hatrricks in a row?
Yes goal wrongly disallowed vs spurs and penalty missed v Liverpool.
With tears in his eyes one top man LEGEND
How could you not like this bloke, what an ambassador for Villa
4:02 The greatest goal celebration of all time.... The Cockney Shuffle

Great video. AVFC can you do a video on the road to winning the European cup
David James didn’t sign until the following season so I guess it was a dream argument!

Great times. I reckon 98/99 was my favourite season. Great players and we were on the march. Shame we just couldn't keep it going.
Dion was one of the last who played both as a centre back and as a centre forward.
Nice bloke👍
Toe to toe with David James, I'd not have worried, James would have gone for the punch and missed.
The main reason James’ punch wouldn’t have connected that day, was that he was playing for Liverpool at the time.
The FA Cup final was probs his one regret of his time at Villa, couldnt really split us or chelsea in terms of performance or quality of player at the time, we just didnt turn up and they scored from a goalkeeping mistake.
Top Bloke. UTV!
I'm sure it was Dean Holdsworth who missed that penalty for Bolton if I remember rightly
When he was talking about the Arsenal game in 1998 he said him and david james almost came to blows. But that can't be true because David James didn't join the club until a year later in 1999. Anyone else notice this?
only love to the dubs
