I'll never forget Clinton Morrison, after scoring against Wednesday his entire career we signed him.
He was great, a proper fox in the box.
But one game he missed a chance, but we still won the game.
And he tweeted or said in an interview that he was absolutely fuming that he missed his chance and it would ruin his night and he'd be back in training tomorrow to practise scoring 'from 3 yards' as he put it.

@I HATE RATS!!! I've only very recently gotten into hurling; watched the final in 2022, the quality on show was absolutely insane. I got treated for a shoulder injury in 2021 by the former Cork hurling team physio, he was very good haha

As good as Roy was he had serious faults and did talk too much even tho he had good intentions, in reality he really should of just sucked it up for that World Cup because he was one of the best midfielders in the world at that time and we had a really good team so personally I can’t take a side as I’ll never forgive either of them for what happened

Ireland would kill for a striker, player and person like Clinton Morrison in their team right now. Ireland had so much talent in the 90s and noughties. Shame to see them not producing players like keane (roy and robbie), Damien duff, Paul McGrath, Steven Staunton and Richard dunne anymore.
Ireland actually outplayed Spain completely in the 2nd half, I remember that game, couldn't score from open play though. Shame. Casillas was on his game that day though, saved a pen in the 2nd half that would have made it 1-1 Ireland.
Robbie Keane should have taken the penalty that Harte missed, he was oozing confidence. Duff was outstanding that day too.

That's why they have Irish second names and speak with the Irish accents with many Irish word similarities. The joke is interesting because Bob Marley's accent was Caribbean/south Irish.

HE GOT 43 ish % when he managed Ireland before then they hired him back AGAIN after proving he failed the last time. Kenny has far more other conditions that are negatively affecting his management term including several bizarre ref decisions like not getting awarded penalties or worse fake covid scam restrictions than other teams.

The sheer fact that you have claimed he "failed" in his first spell is mind boggling. Who do you think Ireland are, Brazil? 2 managers have got them to World Cups, and 1 of them is Mick McCarthy. And that, dear boy, is context. Completely aside from the fact that he did well at that World Cup narrowly going out to a good Spain team, that first team played very good football, they qualified for the World Cup in the same group as2 world class teams in Holland and Portugal, and the whole squad was behind him except Keane, who goes out of his way to find problems with everyone.
