The Heel has to always somehow win and make the babyfaces look trash., Until no one cares about them anymore. The only people he ever elevated are his buddies like Seth, Randy and Batista. Sure he put over John, Roman and Brock. But those were Vince's guys. He's smart enough to know when he has to kiss the ring to keep his political power so he can fuck with other guys careers. Other than that, its only his inner-circle that he really ever puts over. And lets face it Seth, Randy and Batista. (Oh and of course Chris Benoit) Good workers, good look, complete charisma vacumes in terms of their wrestling personalities. That's the guys he likes to push. Guys who won't step on the legend that is HHH. He was a good heel but not a great one in my opinion and what held him back was he failed at the most important aspect of what a heel is supposed to do. I'm really not sure where they're heading with DM, but I agree he's one of the biggest stars they have right now, and they need to do something more exciting with him.
