- Why do some prayers get 'answered' and others don't? An extraordinary situation (almost 20 years ago) set me off on a life of religious, scientific, and esoteric research, trying to work out the answer to that question. The story takes a little bit to get started, but I think the payoff is worth your time.
I will start sharing some of the answers I have found with you next week.
As last week, a little note as this is a sensitive topic:

Moi aussi ! I can relate! Reminds me of when I was hitchhiking from New Orleans, (returning to Colo.) summer 1979. A gentleman pulls up in Station Wagon, (heading to Doctor appt., due to 'pencil eraser' being lodged in his ear.) He was a black gentleman, young slender build, very easy going and very religious. (We went to Doctor appt.) Then, he drove me to the Airport, and bought me a ticket home to the Springs. I forgot his name, so long ago! I too was flat broke.(I maybe had $35.00 on me). He said, to me..."I was told to help you, and to show you are being protected....". Since that time, have traveled the world, in my youth, and am still here to tell about it. jda II.

People throughout the bible had many interactions with angels, from your encounter it sounds like God heard your request and answered you ♡
I saw this and started to cry. While hearing his story I immediately started to think that God will answer his prayer and get him home safely. But the scripture above sums it up rather nicely and quite eloquently.
The loving Father knew that if the very first car stopped, you'd chalk it up to a kind stranger. He made you get so specific, to the point that you couldn't chalk it up as pure luck and He changed your life forever.

Isn't it amazing? We take for granted that the thoughts we have are ours. But if we open ourselves to possibilities, the appropriate thoughts come to us which lead us to our desired outcomes. Regardless of what you think is behind it.

Interesting concept.
I can’t remember where, but I was recently introduced to the idea that consciousness may not be what we assume, as in it may not be something that’s created & contained within the brain, & may extend out beyond & around the body or, may hardly be attached to the body at all… there was even a hypothesis that it may be something that’s more akin to a great field or force of “energy” for lack of a better term, that can tune into physical bodies.
Kind of interesting to think about in regards to the idea of animism, isn’t it?

I'm at an extremely transitional point in my life and have contemplated whether or not I will end up on the streets. Out of all of your videos, this one came up and reminded me of times I was homeless, stranded, or needed food but had an inner spark that reached out for help to an unknown higher power. It was amazing what happened during those times and back then I felt I was at a really low point which turned out to be some of the greatest parts of my life. Thank you for sharing this story. It was like a street lamp that I could see in the distance on a pitch black night, and the closer I came to it the more I could see where I was.
I watched this video last night before turning in to sleep. Early this morning, I went to a gas station and was filling up when a man approached me and asked, 'can I hitch a ride from you into town?'
As a subscriber from the states, I did some light research while you were speaking to get an idea of the distance between Colchester and Clacton. A 16mi, five+ hour walk on an empty stomach in the freezing cold, wearing nothing but a shirt for protection sounds like a death sentence. Glad you're still with us!

Something very similar happened to me! Stranded at night. The car battery went out. No one around. Everything was closed. My mother prayed and as we walked around looking for help, a white car drives up to us. We tell the driver the situation. He jump starts the car and we were saved! Amazing!
A great story, thanks for sharing , A very similar thing happened to my best friend joe. He was a farm worker in Kent in the early nineties after having a row with his partner, she stormed off and went back home to her parents some three hundred miles away in the north , after a couple of days my friend (a born again Christian) decided to go to her but had no way of getting there ,so he prayed hard, and set off, at the top of the lane just outside the farm gate he put his thumb out and got a lift from a guy who was going not only to the same town, but past the exact road just 100 yards from where his wife was .
What a lovely story, thank you for sharing. It reminds me of my own completely bizarre result of a visualization. I lost my passport and wallet in Mongolia and some French motor guys found it (who read in the lonely planet that the German Embassy did the job for Dutch citizens) and brought it 800 km back to the German Embassy exactly on time for me to be able to succeed in my travel towards China.
I missed my internal flight in China and was desperate as it was 1995 and NOBODY spoke English and I was saved by a wonderful Kiwi man who took me to his home and let me sleep there and the next day he even got me on another flight somehow. What a total angel. I have no idea what I would have done without him, probably ended up in a Chinese jail for vagrancy while being foreign, not a good look.
I have hitchhicked for years, when i was 19 myself i crossed the UK alone with 30 quid that lasted a month, i would play guitar to eat and get by. Since then my life has been a path of shamanism and music, your story reminded me of so many times i could have litteraly died at the end of the world, yet i am still alive and commenting :)
Last year I did a challenge where I´d travel around the world without using money for 9 months. I'd hitchhike and stay with random people I met in the places I visited, sometimes I'd volunteer too. I had premonitions come true and miracles happen countless of times. It was an experience. It's cool to hear from someone that's experienced magic on the road as well.
It's amazing! Sometimes the less you need the more you have space to experience faith at a higher level
It really can be amazing, when your in the type of situation. When your alone, cold, and in the darkness, with no sign of hope anywhere. Sometimes very profound and life changing things can happen in moments like those. I've been there before myself, a few times if I'm honest.

Something Very Strange Happened To Me too , and believe it or leave it . i stood face to face for 10-15 seconds with a " 2 meters something " tall shadow person black like gun powder literately faceless waiting for me to make a move . and he just disappeared in front of my eyes and it was night time .
I laughed with delight at this tale - this is the kind of scrape I got myself into many times! I can testify to the power of prayer and visualisation, as a student of A Course In Miracles (which I can highly recommend) and of Kabbalah. Many long stories hinted at here. And I want to mention that I come from Colchester, and lived a while in Clacton - but I do not know the taxi driver. Also to say I am new to this channel, drawn here no doubt because I have things to learn from it. Thank you!

@@FoolishFishBooks I have a great book, it is A Course in Miracles made Easy by Alan Cohen. I read it many years ago, and really got my head around the gist of the actual book in an easy to read way.
This really resonated for me.
This sort of incident, for me, is/was common place, to the extent that I used to "test it". All my life I haven't believed it, and tbh, been a complete sceptic. But I have stories, that are totally unbelievable... except that they all have witnesses. People saw them happen. They're hilarious.
I used to attribute this to the moon, it seemed cyclical... and some days I'd "just know" that everything was electric. It's more subtle than that. I'd make things happen.
Lately, I have been "other" places and met "beings", and between times, started trying to learn what the hell this is all about. And discovered, these things/concepts/places have names and shapes and characters. The pagan gods, the demons, seem like caricatures of them... there's too many similarities to be be coincidence.
I have ALWAYS been told I am "living in a dream world" and am "three sheets to the wind", which is pejorative, but there is something positive to being so... I've always had one foot in this other place which tbh isn't valued at all. And like tides, it ebbs and flows, but this place, is immensely profound.
This other place, for me, is an interestingly lit wood, where the beasts and beings lurk, never quite in view, but definitely there. Whilst on the operating table, I travelled all of it. It's massive.
Recently, I have been visited by an elephant-headed being, so scary that I have woken, and despite rubbing my eyes, it's eyes are still there... wrinkled... blinking... knowing... It would've been terrifying, except whoever it was, wasn't threatening, but was powerful.
Dreams that spill into the real world are terrifying.
I discovered the notion of Chaos Magick recently, and it makes more sense to me than prescriptive rituals, because I'm creative and very, very lazy, but also because every time I go near this stuff, things happen, and they blows up. I can't handle it. It's like I wake a tiger, then like Mowgli hang onto Shere Khan's tale for a few weeks.
So occasionally, I come "back to it", like a grounding thing, and it resets things, but I can't live there...
Or to put it another way, the rituals are tedious, and one can just get in the "right"frequency at certain times, and then just "do"...missing a train to Clacton is kind of a perfect example.
But always, afterwards I wonder what the hell was that... scared, and out of my depth.
And even after writing all that, I don't really believe it... or rather, it's hard to believe... but for a laugh, let's make a bulb blow... or some such spooky shit... no really.
You met Lord Ganesha, Hinduism's elephant-headed deity. His story makes interesting reading.

Something similar happened to me when I actually did hail a taxi in a time of great stress and I only had enough to go part way...and the driver took me all the way for free. I just remember the feeling of.."there is no way I'm not getting there as fast as possible no matter what" and the words I said to the driver just poured out and he did what I needed most as if I had commanded him to do it but I didn't. I just stated my case and it was handled. I try to keep that energy most times.
When I was a child, or when I was about to turned 3 .. I suddenly remembered about my experience while in birth, being birth, seeing through a thin black film, blurry people, bright surgery light shine on me, nurses making mistake of spilling chemical on my head, three drops of something that had make exactly three dots scar on my forehead...
Then, I experienced a lot of out of the ordinary things while living real close to graveyards and forests. The energy there is "more in presense " than in the city. There is a lot of old religious beliefs my family believe in and I lived in a small community with those close relatives. My immediate family are already joining Christianity as the first generations of the older ones before. But, we are also living with relatives who practices esoteric magic. In fact, he was the only Shaman in our small community. He was one of the oldest generations who was my grandma older brother. I always saw him feeding a Barbie doll by the adjacent window across every morning when it was sunrise. I stare at the doll, moving it's head and arms. When it saw me, its red glowing eyes shine even brighter as if it was intimading me. I just stare at it curiously. I was like 3 to 4 years old. The point is I actually already know about the supernatural by a very young ages and often seeing impossible things out the corner of my eyes.
But gradually, I lose a lot of this extra sensory abilities because of depression and a lot more on my plates. I need to be in touch with my inner self again asap.

Could be that he was feverishly praying for someone to come into his sphere just then and you prevented some horrific act of desperation. Maybe God sent you. Being grateful at all times for all things is always proper form so well played. Great story and thank you.

I really enjoyed you sharing this experience and can relate to many of the same things throughout my youth...call them coincidences, miracles, intuition or whatever...I have always had this inner dialogue with something higher (bigger or wider) than myself...something that guides me throughout my life... especially during my early life as a child and especially as a teen and young adult. About 10years ago I had a sudden and unprovoked spiritual awakening where I actually thought I was losing my mind. So started my journey in seeking spiritual meaning. I am still on and think I will forever be on this path of self discovery and spiritual journey. I absolutely love discovering RUclipsrs like yourself which help me expand my mind and open to more spiritual development. I love when I find something that really resonates with me...it just feels like reaching that aha moment...it's like you're on the verge of discovering the meaning of life...oy to find yourself down yet another rabbit hole...yet still you're happy to keep exploring. After experiencing similar events I would comment that "If I am all consciousness" I would have been the platform guard and said "you are welcome to come to my house and sleep on the couch
And I will arrange for your morning train journey."
The ticket is valid due to unfortunate circumstances.
The trance put you in mild theta state along with the time of night when you would be sleeping and in dream state. Deep lucidity created an event with focused attention plus emotion and wove your reality from the ethers. Well done.

A spiritual experience I encountered after confessing all my dishonesties, forgiving all the negative experiences I had unconsciously participated in since childhood. Expressing gratitude for the creator.
Walking with humility to offset a selfish Ego.
Taking 100percent responsibility for every word thought and deed in my life.
In broad daylight in a parking lot a tornado rippled from my body and lifted off my head.
A demon that may have been in my body left and blew across the parking lot where I stood. I cried water from my eyes without moving like Stone. The world stopped.
The sky became still. I was as innocent as a child. I felt the most unconditional love for everything and everyone. I was rendered speachless for 6 week's. I communicated telepathically through love from my heart to animals birds and all of creation.
I knew this was the State of being of st francis of assisi.
All was understood and no explanation verbal or non verbal was Nessesary.
The physical world operated within and without to a synchronized dimensional rythmn.
I could return to life as it had been or continue onwards.
Every word is I.
The Bible when re read made sense to my new understanding.
There is /was n
o death
Just a change in the viewpoint of the beholder.
I sensed the underlying unity of the cosmos. I was saul and Paul at the same time.
I did not meet any man called God.
I was becoming aware of God and how God is the entirety of all creation.
All the great works of God are here now unfolding forever through all as a benevolent force that consumes educates and loves us until we are realise we are love .
And the above experience is only a nano step on our spiritual path towards God
The divinity in coincidence is the coincidence of divinity.

PS: I have also been reflecting on how the action (or words perhaps) of one, a simple one often, can have such a profound, and life changing effect on another.
Thank you so much for your story, I so much enjoyed it. I went through to something similar in Italy when everything I had was stolen but the miracle that happened to me was amazing. I stood and prayed and asked God not to allow me to sleep on the street in Italy but what happened next to me took me by surprise and I have always been so grateful to God, so so grateful. I had a similar experience, however, I was caught up on the other side of the world, in Tokyo. The plan was to get off the plane, head through customs, and take 3 trains to my stop, walk a KM to my air BNB and enjoy the evening. Here's what actually happened: I got on trains 1 and two no problem, got off where I was supposed to. Got onto train 3 from Shibuya, stop 1, stop 2, stop 3 - stop 12. my stop was station 9.
So I end up taking the train back and forth for 3 hours (after I'd already been up the whole flight since leaving home). I do not exaggerate, I was the most exhausted I've ever been in my life. I'm in some kind of purgatory that always skips my stop, so I stop for a moment and think, Tokyo is very gaijin-friendly, so *somebody* must speak enough English to tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'm socially anxious, and apparently more so in a country where a lot of people understandably don't want to be bothered, but I see this one guy who sticks out like a sore thumb: he's a thin, country bumpkin looking guy holding up ill-fitting overalls in a sea of business attire helping out one of those sorts. I figure all I can do is try.
I ask him with what little Japanese I know if he knows where the hell I'm supposed to go to find my stop, and as luck would have it.... he doesn't speak a lick of English. He's undeterred- and motions for me to follow him up another (damn) flight of stairs. Turns out he wasn't only able to find me someone who spoke English, and was going my way, but found someone who studied abroad in Alabama. She gets me to the stop (evidently every train I hit was an express, we don't have trains where I live so I'd never heard of the concept), I pull out my paper map printed from the Air BnB (the lack of cell service really added to this problem) and limp my way there, getting turned around multiple times, accidentally climbing to the roof, then back down till I arrive, figure out the internet, tell my family I'm somehow alive and collapse on the couch.

I’ve also got this kind of incredible experience. To begin with, my math teacher gave us 2 exemples of math exercises (ex 1 & 4) which would be included in the math oral exam. I’m good at math but I’ve really wanted to pass on the exercise 1 (the easiest one). But knowing I was the last one to pass on the oral exam (we were 22 in my class) and they were almost 30 exercices proposed (chosen randomly), I had 0.7 % of chance to choose number 1. However I was still convinced and I madly prayed the day before that I WILL choose number 1! So I did... I choose number 1 😂😇 I thanks the universe and Buddha to have listen to my pray 🙏🏻 (I’m sorry if my English might not be good 😬😹)
I have a similar story. Not a penny. 1978. About 15 miles to get home. Only a shirt. Freezing cold winter. A27 down to home in Worthing. After two miles praying with my thumb out I stumbled across the forecourt of a garage. Tried every car door - just looking for a warm interior but they were all locked.
I finally gave up and on my way out of the lot came across a Landrover pickup with a hook/crane thing on the back. Yippee! The door was open and the key was in the ignition! So I drove home! Called the garage the following day to apoligise and told them where to find it. LOL. The power of prayer delivers in all sorts of unexpected ways....
This video started to play automatically after another I had watched but something told me to stay with it. I'm so glad I did because your story is profoundly illustrative of the power of mind, of faith, of prayer, and especially the innate goodness of the average man, in this case the taxi driver who so kindly stopped for you. A similar thing happened to me today, about a year after you posted your comment! I started to watch the video about the difference between white and black magick, and a few minutes into that one, something weird happened and this video came on, on it's own, though It's possible I may have clicked something by mistake. and before I'll write another word: Thank you very very much for this wonderful channel and the amazing information you deliver. I have literally just discovered your channel a few days ago, so I have a lot of material to catch up on for sure. Thank you for being a great teacher, a wonderfully concise and charming presenter, and obviously for your great choice of subject matter.
I know I am a bit late to the party as this video is about a year and a half "old" already. Hopefully you will still happen upon my comment and be able, either here or in one of your future videos, to shed some light on my questions.
The reason I have chosen to write a comment to this particular video is because the subject matter more than resonated with me.
I have had a fair share of incidents where I've had extremely accurate and literal manifestations of things I had wanted to come into being (I'll expand on this very briefly below)* - but then I have also had months, and years, and decades now of scratching my head and scrambling to figure out whether this was after all just dumb luck or whether there is indeed some kind of mechanism for such magical manifestations.
As this seems to be right up your alley, I would love to ask you this:
Can you, from your own personal experience and study, shed a bit more light on when magical manifestations work and when they do not work. What are the crucial ingredients? What is your most promising and effective process? And what other circumstances and aspects may play into this matter?
*Two incidents I want to mention here briefly is then-pretty-much-broke me literally (albeit jokingly) coming up with the intention to manifest an iphone, and literally the very next day out of absolutely nowhere having my Dad ask me whether I wanted to have his old iphone as he was getting a new one. This happened after I had a read about how you just "ask the universe" for whatever you want and I had jokingly given it a try.
The other most unfathomable incident was then-pretty-much-horny me coming up with the intention to manifest a future wife for myself. As I was wanting to be very precise, I literally - among other things obviously - included that I wanted her to be of a specific nationality, her being financially independent and, uhm, well, for her to have a Playboy-caliber body. (I can see how shallow this may seem, but I am just being honest here.)
I met a woman a couple months later and we head-over-heels fell for one another, and only after a couple of weeks I found out she actually had family origins from the specific nationality I had "requested", she was not interested in my money as she had plenty of her own, in her early twenties she had worked as an underwear and bikini-model, and that she had actually done a test shooting for Playboy - but decided not close a publishing contract with them.
In my mind these "coincidences" are nothing other than mind-blowing. But what's equally brain-wrecking to me is to figure out, why these manifestations worked whereas others did not. I tried to apply the exact same process as when I had success with it, but also tried a variety of other methods. Manifestation, however, remains a very elusive phenomenon to me.
I am very curious for your input on this matter - and judging from the amazing comments I have already read for some of your videos, I'll be looking forward to comments from your viewership as well.

Amazing story. I cant believe all the bad situations I got out of with "luck". I can't thank my guardian angel and helpers enough. I used to visit and ask them questions in the astral all the time, but the deepest questions to life is hard to get answers to, but they would always be there for me. Thank you for sharing. I had so many weird experiences and observations after I started meditating and studying OBE. Robert Bruce's 'astral dynamics' is a gem.

I remember one where I picked up a hitcher in the early hours of a Sunday morning. Might have been 6am or something. He was an old unkempt fellow. He gave me an incredulous, suspicious almost cranky look as he entered. "You aint from one of those damn missions are you?" "No," I said, "But I do work for a Christian organization (never thought of it as a mission)". "Well, I don't like em. I'll tell you something. God has me going on a one-way street" (or something like that) And I just listened and nodded as I was taking him to his destination (a mall actually). He kept going on about God and his own mission/misadventures with God. I take him up to the door of this mall and let him out and as he's leaving I ask him what his name is, he says "God moves in mysterious ways" and closes my door.
I leave, driving along the parking lot and That scripture from Hebrews 13 that Someone else quoted comes to my mind! Then it dawns on me, the parking lot is completely empty,, the doors cannot be open, it's Sunday morning, there's no reason for him to be there.
I veer around and drive back to the spot (it's been maybe a minute or two at most) and he's nowhere. It would be completely impossible for him to run (he's likely 70? or nearly anyhow), it's a huge parking lot, long walls on both sides of the doors. the doors are locked. Not a light on. He's just "gone".
I still think about him all these years later. The most cantankerous angel that God ever had, I think..but an Angel he may well have been. That or he had a helicopter drop him a rope when my back was turned.

It sounds as if you asked prayerfully with specifics and received that for which you asked. However, what if you were *predicting* the specifics of the next vehicle/driver that was going to go past you? It was far too specific to be chalked up to coincidence, or to a compilation of subconsciously registered facts. Either way, you and your mind were certainly in a heightened state to receive the impressions.
I’m just seeing this story and let’s just say this is a story I needed to hear 👂 and today! Thank you 🙏 four years later! And I needed this story. It reminded me in this time I need to go back to the basics! It’s the root of this story that was so special and needed

Such a heartwarming story, I've probably had quite a few experiences similiar to that but not as exact, in that I've been in some mess or other and something came to save me but I kind of took it for granted, but yes some prayers or things wished for come to fruition but a few don't, a lot do though!

I was cold for you and with you! I had something vaguely similar, though it involved neither praying for results nor even getting a ride from a stranger. Still, it was a 4-hour hike along a highway with uncomfortable shoes and a heavy laptop case slung around my shoulders. So I really get that sense of desperation you felt at the last train leaving before you could reach it. Good thing you had that experience, because it opened you up to a whole universe of mystery. I'm looking forward to watching more of these videos.

I've had situations similar and otherwise that it seemed all hope was lost, and then something happens and it may not be a miracle by other people's standards but it sure was to me! My mom would say that who brought you home was an angel. You never know! Would love to share some of my stories with you some day. Cool story! Yes, prayers in desperate times do often work, though not always, when there is an experience you are supposed to have, but even then, in the end, you come to be grateful, even if it was a rough time, that things worked out in the end.

Thank you for this story. I listened to it in the past and right now I’m going through a really hard time and God or angels or any being out there who exists to hear me pray because I’ve been trying for such a long time, feels like a thing so far away from possibly being able to happen right now. Listening to your story again makes me feel a little bit more hopeful though.
