As a Hebrew speaker let me provide some translations of the spheres (in Hebrew sphira = counting): Malchut = Kingdome. Yessod=Foundation or something fundamental. Hod=Glory, Netzach=eternity, Tifereth=Glory, Gvura=heroism, Hesed=grace, Bוna= intelligence, Hochma= wisdome, Keter=Crown. Daath=Knowledge
I find the tree makes me think about the 36 tattvas in tantric shaivism ; levels and aspects of ‘reality’

Yes! David Chaim Smith’s thirty two keys is absolutely amazing. I’m not sure which is right, but I do know it’s often overlooked that moving on the paths can happen non linearly and simultaneously.

I actually feel it is fantastic that there are two paths. I use one for descent from Kether to Malkuth and the other for ascent from Yesod to Kether/Da'ath.

May be helpful to have some occasional still shots without hands and camera movement in case anyone wants to screenshot the info to have at hand for future reference or because it’s visually compelling. Something about the way your drew the sephirot in drawing of the tree of life in the previous video made me envision it like a hologram of energy beams and nodes coming up from the bottom linking, resonating and illuminated
The concept also draws many parallels to yin/yang 5 elements and other methodologies that might be worth doing an intersectional video of esoteric manifestations, how it relates to other disciplines like Tibetan rainbow body etc.
Anyway, thanks for your videos they are informative, your delivery is very compelling and so many concepts/avenues to explore so I look forward to more of your videos.

Something that should definitely be noted is that each of the 22 paths correspond with one of the 22 tarot cards of the major arcana. The lesser arcana corresponds to the 10 sephiroths.
I have been working on the 'Lane Two-Twenty-Two' from the Byron Preiss puzzle verse for the location in Montreal. While researching, I came across 'The Path of Life' comprised by the two Twenty steps...Hebrew and Tarot. In the painting I discovered a huge tree with a huge serpent alongside it. I am confident there is a correlation between the two for this puzzle solve. What I do need clarification on is the correlation between 2, 20, and back to 2 on the left hand side chart. Understanding that connection would help me out a lot and I a hopeful that either yourself or one of your viewers could lend me a hand. Thanks to anyone and all. :)

1) A 3 dimensional Tree of Life is the better solution. Where the paths could have individual depth.
2) Do a video on nonemanation-ism. Whatever that is.
Forgot about da'ath... The most misunderstood and debated of the sephira.
I have written out and compared both Trees and their attributions. Lurianic Tree describes things in microcosmic terms, it is incredibly easy to relate it to the human body, with implications relating it even to the taoist system of the Three Dantien. The Hermetic Tree describes things in macrocosmic terms and you have to find out how it relates to a human body.

In earlier times languages were less corrupted by conditioned thought and less contaminated by the past so it would make sense that Hebrew be considered a tongue of God. I'm a Hermetic with a big L plate but the more I look into Magick and the occult the more I see how important a component language is. And the further we go back in history the more it seems to reflect the original knowledge.
it's interesting to me that if you just maintain the upper connections and the connection between hod and netzach and have tipheret going through yesod to malchut, it resembles an ankh.

If you take the Da at and pull it down to tiferet, it seems to take the Jewish format into the hermetic format. Like a form of transformation. Like how the dodecahedron transforms between the icosahedron in the Platonic solids.

I had never enderstand anything about Qabalah, but with The Chicken Qabalah is so simple to understand.
It is strange to me to see that masterpieces like R. A. Wilson books' had nerver been translated (in my knowledge) in my native language, french.

To my French friend, you are blessed that so many high level cabbalists where fluent in French - being the language of the aristocracy, of many courts, much esoteric content is in French as its language of origin (unless of course you go back further and say Hebrew was the LoO)

conjecture:: paths 21 and 22 were inverted because they couldn't accept "The devil" connecting Tiphereth and Yesod, sun and Moon. Then Temperance would connect Tiphereth and Hod . That wouldd have broken the system in other ways.

Da'ath isn't really hidden, it's not really a "place". A nice simile I heard once is that It's like a roundabout where many roads converge. Not the same a a city, but also not the same as a road.
I love this video! Thank you for explaining this information. I have been studying the Hermetic Tree, but I agree, the other version makes a little more sense in theory. I especially like the idea of Yesod being the only path to the upper realm. Entering the upper realms directly through Hod or Netzach has always seemed to be imbalanced to me. But then it makes sense that someone could enter being tied only to passion and feeling or only to the logic of study, but they would have a more difficult path to follow. But it's all theory and that's what is so fun about the study of it all. Thank you again! Obsessed with your channel. 🔥
Hmm I have been studying using the hermetic tree of life but now after watching this, the Lurianic one resonates a lot more. As it makes sense as I agree that everything must first pass through Yesod(the subconscious) before being materialised in Malkuth. Damn slightly confused where to go with this now lol.
Hi Helki Rain! You might notice that many of my videos make people question 'what is the right way'... We have to remember that these are maps, and a map is not the territory. A central goal for my channel is to lead people away from any sort of 'I have the right way' thinking. In my opinion, the more maps we have, the better prepared we are. Refusing a road map just because the geological map 'is the right one' doesn't make your road trip easy...😜

@@FoolishFishBooks Both were taught in the original HOGD. Luria's version doesn't explain the veils on the tree as well (or at all in some cases) as the earlier TOL. Consequently, in teaching the paths, their relationship to each other, and following the pathworkings, the Hermetic version contains more useable information to begin with.

Something that I've noticed is that the first version made kind of a box/inverted star pattern and the second version (alphabetic order) made a pyramid / cross type pattern. Have you noticed that too?
6 is in the middle with 6° of six variations on paths
I kind of understand why the hermetic one has malkuth linked to hod and netzach since it's not necesary to go through imagination or some kind of complex abstract thinking to acces learning, information and emotions.

Great video! I have recently read that the 'lurianic' tree of life is purely a teaching reference of the tree of life. Where as the 'hermitic' tree of life is used for magic and manifestation, as with divination and the tarot.
There is actually a better set of letter to path attributions than Luriah's in my opinion. It makes sense that as the mezla pours into and out of each sephirah, that it would do so to each sephirah in descending order. So as it flows out of chokmah, it would enter binah, chesed, geburah, and then tphareth in that order. Luriah's attributions are based on some insight he had to do with the travelling about of the hebrews in exodous. Anyway, the fources would likewise be attributed to these paths coming into formation with the corresponding signs, elements, and planets on the diagonal, horizontal, and vertical paths respectively. Kircher tried to do this and the Golden Dawn copied him, but no one has corrected the errors. By the way, I'm still referring to the Kabbalistic tree with one path connecting malkuth to yesod. The paths if numberred, should follow this descent of mezla, and the return journey up the path would just go in reverse. Here are a list of the forces and letters and which sephirahs the paths connect. I say sephiras as this does seem to be the correct plural, and sephiroth actually refers to the tree of life, the otz chaiym.

Excuse the list being a bit skew wiff, the tabs didn't like being inserted back so I had to add spaces to try and align everything. The above does fit the Zohar and the Bahir I believe. For more info on all this see the two books on the subject by Gary Jaron. I like most of what he says apart from his ideas of what planets should be linked to the sephiroth. He was tackling the same issues with the Golden Dawn's tree that you and I obviously have encountered. One point I must make, the elements don't descend in letter order as shin being fire comes first, then aleph for air, and mem for water. They do however line up perfectly with the top three four worlds if we take briah to be air and yetzirah water, with malkuth as assiah. The signs and planets do descend in letter order as the signs and planets have been attributed to the letters in alphabetical order.
I think the most nebulous part for me is the pathway between Chesed and Binah

Its crazy that i seem to be the only person who points out the upside down pentagram at the top of the tree when the diagram has all o the lines connecting the points of the tree. The right side up house sits in the heart of the upside down pentagram.

Divination via the Tree of Life can be done with Tarot. Look up the "Tree of Life Tarot Spread".
I looked at Davids homepage - he has very nice drawings and his books look very nice. Maybe this book will be more accessible but still containing his drawings.
Yes, it will be entirely illustrated by him, and as you say, intended to be more accessible than his previous work.
The book will come with 32 cards too, on which to meditate, using the excercises described in the book.

Sejdr I am a noob on Kabbalah, but I did get to informally interview L. M. D. about 3 years ago to prepare questions for his formal interviewer, and he’s a very easy to understand guy. He also doesn’t take himself too seriously the way many authors and teachers (and people in general) do. He is definitely a good starting place for anything he takes the time to write about.

@@FoolishFishBooks yes, though sadly at the time I wasn't directly interested in the things I could learn from him.
It was Art Bell's last radio project before he passed (he was already hospitalized and replaced as host permanently) so we looked for guests on the fringe of anything, the weirder the better.
LMD was as a regular recommendation from listeners, I get no credit for picking him, only for giving in to listener pressure.
However he was one of the hosts favorite guests, because of what a clear communicator he is. Many experts are not good at sharing what they know, even fewer are great at it.

What should I read to learn about Yggdrasil as the tree of life, ie the nordic version?
I'm confused on one aspect. This video is the only one I've seen that explains (brillantly!) the differences between the lurianic tree of life, based on the kabbalah/Qabalah, and the hermetic one, more recent. However, everywhere I look, the hermetic tree of life is named the Kabbalah tree of life. So, is everybody confusing/mixing them? TBH, I find the lurianic one very relevant and logical. I have ordered the Chicken Qabalah book, but do you have any other information/sources (books, videos, websites) about the differences between the two versions?
It s crazy I had never seen this before but Then i had a dream where Jesus came to me. Just to let ya know I’m not religious but I remember he was giving me a reading because he told me he was a psychic back on earth but during his time that just wasn’t normalized and people didn’t really like that. But the reading he gave me was in this pattern. Insane because I had this dream agessss ago but I saw the pattern on tik tok so now I am here.
According to my reference (20th c. notebook Order of the Golden Cross) you mirrored 18+17 and 15+16 in the hermetic tree. So 17 and 15 go diagonally. 18 and 16 go vertically. Any reason for this? Or is this a other reference?

Great videos, but I'm a bit confused. In the Hermetic chart, Duquette and Greer (Paths of Wisdom, p. 34) have:
Heh ((15) connecting Chokmah(2) and Tiphareth (6)
Vau (16) connecting Chokmah (2) and Chesed (4)
17 (Zain) connecting Binah(3) and Tiphareth(6),
and 18 (Cheth) connecting Binah(3) and Geburah(5),
rather than the way you've done it.
Which is correct?
I was thinking about the same thing and got confused there?
I think he just made an error in the numbering sequence. On the trsditional TOL the 15th path connects Chokmah to Tiphareth as you indicate, not Chokmah to Chesed as in the video. The same is true of the 17th an 18th paths - they have been reversed in the video.
I wonder if the hermerticists changed the paths from Chokmah to Geburah and Binah to Chesed to remove that inverted pentagram and make it a cross.

Heyy FF, could i get your opinion on the Qlippoth path and Universal Mastery. I feel it resonate with me but id like to know as much as possible, seeing as how it seems to be the riskiest.
It's riskiest because it's awash with con artists peddling nonsense as a spiritual path. If you're interested in the left hand path, read up on the origin of the Left Hand path which is Shaiva-Shakta Tantra. Books like "Aghora: At the Left Hand of God" and "Tantra Illuminated" are good reads. Not the BALG hogwash 🙏.

Ok this is weird the for the first tradition, for the past 3ish years I've been doodling a tree like form of about 5 levels with a "trunk" and circular "roots", which looks kind of close to that path.

ok, so reading O.H.O'S (Rabbi Lamed Ben Cliffords) 3 degrees of qablalistic initiation and yes there are significance to the order of the paths in hebrew kabala. i hate the word cabbalah...
